경증 두부외상 환자에서 MR FLAIR 영상의 임상적 유용성

Objectives : MR fluid-attenuated inversion recovery(FLAIR) image uses paired long inversion time and relaxation time that nulls the signal from CSF. With nulling of the CSF long echo time readout could be used to increase T2-weighting, hence improving the conspicuousness of most tissue lesions without the deleterious effects of CSF artifact seen on T2 weighted sequence. We examed the usefulness of FALIR image in the diagnosis of mild head injury. Methods : A total of 38 patients with mild head injury were examined by FLAIR image. We compared those images with CT scan and T1, T2-weighted images. Careful observation of MR images were done by two well-trained neuroradiologists. Each image was compared for conspicuousness and detectability of traumatic lesions might have shown abnormal signal intensities. The Wilcoxon signed ranks test was used for statistical evaluation. Results : The FLAIR image was significantly more sensitive than those of other images(p<0.001). T2 FFE(Fast Field Echo) image was more useful for detection of small petechial hemorrhages. Conclusion : FLAIR image is considered to be more sensitive than those of conventional MR images in the evaluation of mild head injuries.

The phusical optics approximation to an E-polarized diffraction by a composite wedge provides its diffraction coefficients in terms of finite series of cotangent functions. In this paper, its diffraction coefficients inside the dielectric part are extended to become the exact solution to the perfectly conducting wedge as its relative dielectric constant increases to infinite or decreases to 1. It is assured that the extended diffraction coefficients satisfy the boundary condition at th econducting interface and become zero in the artificially complementary region of the composite wedge.

The physical optical solution to the E-polarized diffraction by a composite wedge consisting of perfect conductor and lossless dielectric cannot sayisfy not only the boundary conditions at the wedge interfaces but also the edge condition at the wedge tip. Its diffraction coefficients are extended outside the composite wedge to become the exact solution to the perfectly conducting wedge as its relative dielectric constant increases to infinite or decreases to 1. It is assured that the extended diffraction coefficients approach zero in the arificially complementary region of the composite wedge.

We demonstrate a novel wavelength -division add/drop multiplexer employing fiber bragg gratings and polarization beam splitters. the multiplexer is easy to fbricate without any special technique such as UV trimming, and yet shows very stable performance with less than 0.3-dB crosstalk power penalty in a 0.8-nm-spaced, 2.5Gbps-per-channel WDM transmission system. We find that the rejection of adjacent channels is more than -6dB, and the signal leakage through output port is less than -34dB.

By exploring various historical materials, students can experience their own production of historical knowledge and develop critical literacy and information skills that are essential for future knowledge-based societies. In order to develop 'historical material exploration' in the secondary school history classroom, one must devise and provide a variety of formats and procedures for teachers and students to read and understand the material together, and then to raise and explore questions about the material. It is also necessary to accumulate practical cases using such procedures. The purpose of this article is to present a practically applicable historical inquiry process in history class and to present real cases using 『Koryo-sa』's data on the uprising of ‘Manjeok’ the slave. The questions that were used in the inquiry process were composed primarily in the class for Exploring Korea's ancient literature for years and reviewed by history teachers. 역사수업의 사료 탐구를 통해 학생은 스스로 역사지식을 생산하는 경험을 할 수 있으며, 미래 지식기반 사회에 필수적인 비판적 문해력과 정보처리역량을 기를 수 있다. 사료 학습 진전을 위해서는 교사가 학생의 사료 읽기와 이해 과정에 적절히 개입하면서 함께 사료에 대한 질문을 제기하고 탐구하는 형식과 절차를 고안하고 그에 따른 실제 사례를 축적할 필요가 있다. 이 글은 관련 선행 연구를 종합적으로 검토하여 역사수업에 실질적으로 적용 가능한 사료 탐구 절차를 제시하고, 고려시대 ‘만적의 봉기’에 관한 『고려사』의 사료를 활용한 실제 사례를 구성해 보이고자 한다. 사료 탐구 절차에 활용된 탐구 질문들은 사범대학의 한국사 사료 강독 수업을 통해 일차적으로 구성하고, 현장 역사교사의 검토를 받았다.
