      • 원자력발전소 증기발생기 2차측 이물질검사를 통한 전열관 건전성 향상 방안 연구

        원자력발전소의 증기발생기는 1 차측 냉각수(원자로냉각재)와 2 차측 냉각수(급수)가 압력경계 (1mm 두께)를 이루며 열교환을 통해 증기를 생산한다. 2 차측 관판상부에는 증기발생기로 유입된 이물질과 불순물이 농축 및 축적된다. 따라서, 계획예방정비(O/H) 마다 1 차측 와전류탐상검사(ECT)와 2 차측 랜싱(Lancing) 및 FOSAR(In-Bundle FOSAR 포함) 작업을 수행하여 잔류이물질을 검사 및 제거하고 있다. 증기발생기는 모델마다 전열관 배치 및 간격이 다르기 때문에 다양한 장비들이 사용된다. CANDU, W-F 모델의 경우 Lancing 과 In-Bundle FOSAR 가 동시에 가능한 반면 CE-80 모델은 전열관 간격이 좁아 Lancing 과 In-Bundle FOSAR 를 분리 수행하고 있다. 이러한 이유로 CE-80 모델 In-Bundle FOSAR 를 위해 장비(측시 장비 포함)가 개발되었다. 대부분의 가동 중 증기발생기 전열관은 운전 중 표면의 변화(물리적, 화학적)로 인해 빛 간섭 현상이 발생하지 않지만, 신규 증기발생기는 전열관 표면 빛 간섭 현상이 발생하여 검사의 어려움이 생긴다. 간섭 현상은 전열관 건전성 확인이 어렵기 때문에 ECT 의 MRPC 를이용하여 건전성 확인하였고, 즉시 검사장비를 개선(물리적, 전기적) 하였다. 그 결과 미세조도 조절이 가능한 전열관 검사장비를 통해서 증기발생기 전열관의 건전성을 확보하고 잔류물질 검사를 수행하였다. Steam Generator (SG) of Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs) is a component that generates steam through heat exchange, with pressure boundary between the primary cooling water (reactor coolant water), and the secondary cooling water (feed water), which is formed by a 1mm tube. At the top of the tube sheet on the secondary side of the SG, foreign objects and impurities entering the steam generator are accumulated and concentrated during the NPPs operation. During planned overhaul period, the NPPs can inspect and remove impurities in the SG by carrying out primary ECT (Eddy Current Test) and the secondary Lancing and FOSAR (Foreign Object Search and Retrieval). Various equipment are used since SGs have different tube arrangements and intervals for different models. For CANDU and W-F models; FOSAR can be used to operate simultaneously with Lancing, while CE-80 models perform separately due to narrow tube spacing. Thus, CE-80 model's SG has been developed for FOSAR. Moreover, differences in size measurement in tube intervals and not having the capability to inspect Stay-Rod areas causes difficulties during inspections. In most operations, light interference phenomenon changes don’t occur on the surface of SG tubes (physically and chemically), however for new SGs, the impossibilities for SG tube inspection may arise. If the SG tube surface inspections is impossible, it is difficult to secure the integrity from them. Hence, after checking the integrity using ECT's MRPC; a physical and electrical equipment inspection method was devised to improve these problems. As a result, efficient residual material inspection is carried out to secure the integrity of the SG tube through improved microlight adjustable electric tube inspection equipment. To ensure the trustworthiness of the SG tube, the newly developed inspection equipment can alleviate and remove such problems. It will allow efficient residual material inspection.

        Suicide incidents are occurring endlessly in our society. The numbers of victims are increasing caused by the negative economic situation, and the social attention about this fact is also getting bigger. Specifically the cases happening in the military give frustration to the family members and the officers, extreme decreasion to the soldiers' spirits, disapointment and discredit to the government, and infamity and blame to the dead himself. According to the statistics from the Headquarter of Korea Army, 68.6% of soldiers' suicide cases are caused by outside causes such as family, girlfriend, or personality problems, and the cases caused by actual military problems are being deminished. The numbers of victims are 57 per a year in recent 5 years, in contrast to 110 per a year in 1980s and 1990s. These numbers prove that the Army is showing an effort to decrease the suicide cases, and they are even less than U.S. Army or Japan Army. Even so, suicide takes a big piece in death cases in military, they cannot be lazy on putting more effort to prevent and even grow less the suicide cases. Therefore, the purpose of this investigation is to analyze the exact reality and the causes for the suicide cases, offer a realistic answer for the strong prevention, and protect civilians and the honor of the Army. The purpose of this investigation is to prove that the unusual conditions of the military, such as being isolated, have direct affections to the suicide cases in the military. The solutions to demolish or improve these problems are such as following: First of all, the demolition and improvement of the inside problems of the military. The most significant environmental matter is the absurdity in the residence and mutual conflict between soldiers. The constant effort to solve these problems as a main task is required from the officers, and create a peaceful atmosphere between the soldiers by settle down the manner of "lower-respects-higher, and higher-cares-lower" culture. In addition, the personal problems of soldiers must be managed and reported in order to figure out the best solution to solve them. Secondly, the demolition and the improvement of the problems caused from the outside of the military. The most members of officers are caring and seeking for the solutions for the prevention of suicide. Despite of all these efforts, we must recognize that there is a limit we have to face. Soldiers who have experiences of psychological consultant before joining the military, or those who have A.D.D disease, are good examples for the officers to take extra care and effort to prevent any type of incidents. For those who show extreme expression to commit suicide must be gone through the high-resolution medical examination, or a consideration of exchanging duty. Conversation with the family members is the most significant solution to prevent the incidents, therefore a warm "care" from the family members is strongly needed for the soldiers. After of all, concerning the fact that every single officer from every single camp in everywhere is responsible to protect civilians and their property, they must be enthusiastic to seek every possible solution to prevent suicide incidents, so they can say "yes" to the following question: "Can the suicide cases possibly prevented in the military?" Anyone can think about commiting suicide whey they face the extreme difficulty. This is a very natural reaction so nobody should be blamed. The important point is not "who is thinking about killing himself". The real problem is who is with him. The person who is about to commit suicide is extremely frustrated and lonely, so a small attention from somebody near him can be an energy to jump over the difficulty. Therefore we are all union who cares about each other, and the suicide is actually being prevented by these people.

      • 백미, 현미 그리고 발아현미의 미생물학적 프로파일

        In this study, the microbiological quality of white rice (WR) brown rice (BR) and germinated brown rice (GBR) was compared due to subsequently concerned more for consumers' safety. Among health conscious people, BR and germinated brown rice GBR are increasingly more popular for consumption in Korea, because of their nutritional values being greater than ordinary WR. The microbiological profiles (Total mesophillic aerobic bacteria (TMAB), spore-forming aerobic bacteria (SAB), yeasts and molds (YM), coliforms, Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., and lactic acid bacteria (LAB)) have been monitored for 9 WR, 10 BR and 10 GBR samples. Average TMAB counts were 3.9 × 105, 2.4 × 106 and 3.0 × 107 CFU/g, SAB counts were 6.0 × 102, 4.7 × 104 and 8.5 × 105 CFU/g, YM counts were 2.2 × 10, 4.8 × 103 and 1.7 × 105 CFU/g, coliforms counts were 4.6, 4.2 × 103 and 4.3 × 103 CFU/g, determined in WR, BR and GBR. E. coli and Salmonella spp. were determined to be below detection limit (<100 CFU/g). Average LAB counts were determined to be 4.1 × 102 CFU/g, 1.8 ×105 CFU/g in 2 WR and 6 GBR samples, respectively. However, below detection limit in 7WR and 4 GBR samples. The overall microbial counts for BR were higher than those for WR and those of GBR were higher than those of BR. Especially, the lactic acid bacteria LAB counts in GBR increased markedly and their selected representatives were Weissella confusa, Pediococcus pentosaceus, and Lactobacillus fermentum. To our knowledge, this is the first attempt to enumerate and compare LAB loads on WR, BR, and GBR. 본 논문에서는 소비자들의 안전한 쌀 섭취를 위해 백미와 현미 그리고 발아현미의 미생물학적 프로파일 실험을 수행하였다. 특히, 현미와 발아현미의 경우 백미보다 더 많은 생리활성물질이 함유되어 있어 대한민국에서 수요가 증가되고 있다. 9개의 백미 10개의 현미와 발아현미의 총 균수, 포자형성 호기성균수, 진균, 대장균군, 대장균 살모넬라 그리고 젖산균에 대하여 프로파일을 실시하였다. 백미, 현미 그리고 발아현미의 평균 총 균수는 3.9 × 105, 2.4 × 106 그리고 3.0 × 107 CFU/g, 포자형성 호기성 균수는 6.0 × 102, 4.7 × 104 그리고 8.5 × 105 CFU/g, 평균 진균수는 2.2 × 10, 4.8 × 103 그리고 1.7 × 105 CFU/g, 평균 대장균군수는 4.6, 4.2 × 103 그리고 4.3 × 103 CFU/g 로써 각각 검출되었고 평균 살모넬라균수와 대장균수는 백미, 현미 그리고 발아현미 모든 검체에서 검출 이하 한계로 확인되었다 (<100 CFU/g). 또한, 평균 젖산균수는 백미 2개 샘플과 발아현미 6개의 샘플에서 각각 4.1 × 102 CFU/g 그리고 1.8 ×105 CFU/g으로 검출되었다. 결론적으로, 현미의 미생물수가 백미보다 높게 검출되었고 발아현미의 미생물수가 현미보다 더 높게 검출되었다. 특히 발아현미의 젖산균수는 현미와 비교하여 매우 급격히 증가되었고 젖산균에 대한 DNA 동정실험결과 Weissella confusa, Pediococcus pentosaceus, and Lactobacillus fermentum 로 각각 동정되었다.
