Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitor에 의해 유발된 약제 유발 루푸스 1예

Drug-induced lupus erythematosus is defined as a lupus-like syndrome related to continuous drug exposure which resolves after discontinuation of the offending drug. Here we report a case of a 70-year-old man who developed drug-induced lupus erythematosus after receiving angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor medication for unstable angina pectoris, for 5 years. He was hospitalized with arthralgia, edema, and newly developed pleural effusion. The serum analysis revealed an elevated level of antinuclear antibody and antihistone antibody. After discontinuation of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor and receiving a course of prednisolone treatment, his symptoms and pleural effusion improved. To the best of our knowledge, this is, the first case report of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor-induced systemic lupus erythematosus in Korea.

가계부채 증가의 영향요인에 관한 연구 - 한국복지패널(KOWEPS) 자료를 활용한 데이터마이닝 분석 -

This study intends to analyze factors that contributed to the recent growth of household debt from the perspective of individual households, and identify considerations and issues associated with the current household debt-related policies. Data from Korea Welfare Panel Study (KOWEPS) 2008 and 2014 was used to analyze what factors affect household debt and how much each factor contributes by using the debts, assets, and expenditures of households as variables. Data mining technique (decision-making tree model) was applied to forecast the size of debt by the characteristics of households. The analysis found that 3 factors related to house (long-term lease (“Jeonse”) money deposit, debt, and debt interest) primarily led households to take out loans from financial institutions, which, in turn, further increased overall household debt. In 2014, the “gas and electricity expenses” of households increased to be the fifth largest contributing factor in terms of household debt growth, following the 3 house-related factors mentioned above and “other interest”. As for house-related debt, the following factors are provided in the order of contribution: living space, housing tenure status (owner-occupation or leased under “Jeonse” agreement, etc.), housing type (apartment or stand-alone house, etc.) and heating facility. Therefore, it is advisable that the Korean government’s policies aiming to curb the growing household debt focus not only on “loans from financial institutions,” but also on “Jeonse.” The Korean government also needs to pay attention to other types of buildings including commercial buildings for effective household debt control, and implement a policy to curb the growth of “gas and electricity expense.” Additionally, household debt management policy-making process needs to involve all the relevant government entities, rather than addressed single-handedly by the Financial Services Commission, so that policies tackling household debt growth can be far-reaching and comprehensive. An overall review of the current policies and a dramatic change in policy direction is deemed necessary.

By employing technical methods, this study aims to investigate phenomenon of sharing job-search sites among job applicants. This study places social network structure of the most commonly chosen and visited job-search site at its analytic center. Analysis result shows that out of all job-search sites, a center block exists which acts as the center of sharing information and that job information is shared around it. Also, because connection strength is low between blocks, sharing between blocks is minimal. Hence, information flow is low between blocks and there is a tendency to depend on the information provided by commonly shared blocks. Job-search sites shared partially different web sites at various visited times and hence, job-search sites showed different application of information.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a primary malignant neoplasm derived from hepatocytes, accounting for about 80% of all liver cancers. The incidence of HCC is higher in men and in those over 40 years old. Chronic liver disease due to hepatitis B virus or hepatitis C virus and alcohol accounts for the majority of HCC patients. Incidence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease has been on the rise and it has also been associated with the development of HCC. Despite advancements in treatment, HCC is still an important health problem because of the associated substantial mortality. An effective surveillance program could offer early diagnosis and hence better treatment options. This review will focus on the risk factors for HCC based on epidemiological data.

Temperature is an important ambient factor affecting the physiology and metabolism of aquatic invertebrates. In this study, we studied about the survival, reproduction and growth effects of 4 different temperatures(16, 20, 24, 28℃) in four Korean cladoceran, Daphnia sp., Daphnia obtusa, Moina macrocopa, Simocephalus vetulus and Daphnia magna. as an international standard species. All 5 water flea tested showed that molting time, fecundity and intrinsic rate of natural increase(r) in high temperature condition were higher than those in lower temperature. On the other hand, lower survivals and longer time to start of offspring were showed in high temperature. Our results suggest that the optimal temperatures of Daphnia sp., Moina macrocopa, and Simocephalus vetulus seem to be about 20℃ except for Daphnia obtusa which as showed good survivals and reproductions in 16℃.
