예금의 화폐성을 통해 살펴본 예금자 규율의 한계와 시사점

In the wake of the recent SVB crisis, the need for expanded deposit insurance has been raised. On the other hand, the expansion of deposit insurance is not immune from criticism that it leads to moral hazard for depositors and weakens depositor discipline. This paper examines the limits of the operation of depositor discipline based on the moneyness of deposits. Deposits are private money issued by banks and widely used as a store of value and a payment instrument. Aside from their function as a means of payment, deposits are short-term stores of value, much like short-term debts such as repos. These assets have a low incentive for creditors to exercise discipline due to their high stability in normal times, but they are vulnerable to runs due to excessive discipline in situations where the asset's face value is threatened. This leads to depositor discipline being exercised in extremes rather than at a moderate level. Deposits also differ from other short-term liabilities in that they are used as a means of payment, which means they are of high systemic importance as a universal means of payment and perform a public function, requiring a high degree of stability. Otherwise, it could have serious implications for the financial system and the economy as a whole. Under the current banking system, deposit stability cannot be fully achieved through increased regulation and supervision alone. Given the way depositor discipline is exercised and the systemic importance of deposits as money, it is necessary to review the operation of the deposit insurance system to take into account the moneyness of deposits in order to enhance deposit stability. In particular, the scope and method of protection should be such that the higher the monetary value, the less likely it is that depositors will exercise discipline. Last but not least, the expansion of deposit insurance should be accompanied by strengthened regulation and supervision to mitigate the adverse effects and social costs of weakening depositor discipline.

중 저 진공 하에서 이루어지는 물리적 증착 공정, 화학적 증착 공정 그리고 다른 진공 기술 분야에서 필요 한 정전 용량 진공계를 제작하였다. 전기용량 진공계는 고진공 상자 한 면의 칸막이 판이 진공도에 따라 휘는 간격 변화를 정전용량의 변화로 받아 드려 이것을 진공도로 변환 시켜 진공도를 측정하는 센서이다. 이 칸막 이 판은 온도에 매우 민감 한데, 본 실험에서는 이 판의 종류에 따른 용량 특성을 연구하였다.
쓰기활동의 유형분석 및 학습자의 태도 분석: 중학교 2학년 한국, 일본 교과서 분석을 중심으로

Korean Journal of English Language and Linguistics, 8-2, 231-249. This paper aims at providing a proposal for more effective writing activities based on the followings: (1) comparing Korean and Japanese English textbooks and analyzing their respective styles of writing activities and (2) analyzing a questionnaire on students' attitude toward English writing. The writing activities in the Korean textbook consist of 40.3% controlled writing, 58.1% guided writing, and 1.6% free writing. In contrast, the writing activities in the Japanese textbook are composed of 30% controlled writing, 30% guided writing and 40% free writing. The Japanese textbooks facilitate the three types of writing evenly, while the Korean textbook heavily relies on controlled and guided writing. According to the questionnaire, the students do not attribute importance to writing even though they think writing is one of the most important skills. Given these results together, it is argued in this paper that the writing activity's style in a textbook should consist of more free writing activities.

A new reproducible fabrication method of long-period fiber gratings is presented. This method is based on tapering the outer fiber diameter by 20KHz AC electrical arc discharge. Fabricated gratings show good reproducible absorption wavelengths and have ∼20dB band rejection and ∼0.5dB insertion loss. Mode conversion between core and cladding mode directly observed by IR vidicon and compared with coupled mode theory.

본 연구에서는 기존의 기호논리에 근거한 추론 기술의 문제점인 추론의 경직성 문제를 해결하기 위하여 유연한 추론 기술에 대하여 연구한다. 특히 1) 신경망 기반의 개인화 기술, 2) 신경망 기반 비정형적 모델을 이용한 사용자 모델링, 3) 인간의 비형식적 추론 모델링에 대해 연구한다. In this research we investigate flexible inference based on neural networks to overcome lacking flexibility of the conventional symbolic logic based inference. particularly, we investigate 1) personalization based on neural network, 2) user modeling based on neural network, and 3) modeling of human informal inference.
