허난설헌의 자기극복 과정에 관한 상담학적 의미 고찰

The purpose of this study is to extract meaningful knowledge in modern counseling by examining the counseling meaning contained in self-overcoming process of ‘Heo Nanseolheon’. For this purpose, I applied the classical analysis method to analyze the literary works of ‘Heo Nanseolheon’, records of life, professional books, and prior research. The results of this study are as follows: First, frustration and sadness in the life of ‘Heo Nanseolheon’ were examined as ‘conflict with husband, family’, ‘losing child’ and ‘decline of family’. Second, the process of self-overcoming in the life of ‘Heo Nanseolheon’ expressed ‘resilient life to control and protect suffering’, ‘proactive life beyond the limits of the times’ and ‘transcendent life to subdue adversity to art’. Third, the principles of healing and growth found in the process of self-overcoming of ‘Heo Nanseolheon’ are ‘unconditional and positive acceptance of the family’, ‘forming a healthy and subjective self’, ‘Moving to a place of mind based on social interest’, and ‘enjoying freedom as a reality beyond transcendence’. I hope that the process of self-overcoming of ‘Heo Nanseolheon’ will provide meaningful implications for the lives of modern people living today. 이 연구의 목적은 허난설헌의 자기극복 과정에 담겨있는 상담학적 의미를 고찰하여 현대 상담에 의미 있는 지식을 추출하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 고전분석 방법을 적용하여 허난설헌의 작품, 삶에 관한 기록, 전문서적, 선행연구물을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 허난설헌의 삶에 나타난 좌절과 슬픔은 ‘남편, 시댁과의 갈등’, ‘자녀를 잃음’, ‘친정의 몰락’으로 살펴보았다. 둘째, 허난설헌의 삶에 나타난 자기극복 과정은 ‘고난을 조절하고 지켜내는 탄력적인 삶’, ‘시대적 한계를 넘어서는 능동적인 삶’, ‘역경을 예술로 승화하는 초월적인 삶’으로 나타내었다. 셋째, 허난설헌의 자기극복 과정에서 발견한 치유와 성장의 원리는 ‘가족들의 무조건적이며, 긍정적인 수용 경험하기’, ‘건강하고 주체적인 자아 형성하기’, ‘현실을 외면하지 않고 온전하게 마주하기’, ‘사회적 관심을 바탕으로 마음자리 옮기기’, ‘현실 초월의 의지로 자유로움 누리기’,로 제시하였다. 허난설헌의 자기극복 과정이 오늘날을 살아가는 현대인의 삶에 의미 있는 시사점을 제공할 수 있기를 기대한다.

A case of acute aseptic meningitis associated with herpes zoster

Herpes zoster is caused by the varicella-zoster virus (VZV), which affects nerve ganglions. VZV infection may be associated with neurologic complications, which are usually observed after vesicular exanthem. Acute aseptic meningitis is a rare complication of VZV reactivation. We report the case of a previously healthy 14-year-old boy who suffered from aseptic meningitis that was attributed to reactivated VZV infection with exanthem; the patient had undergone vaccination against varicella. This condition can be confirmed by the detection of VZV DNA in the cerebrospinal fluid. The patient was treated with acyclovir and recovered fully.

Based on the characteristics of financial products, financial information asymmetry will be present between financial institutions to sell and trading partners. The efforts to protect financial trading partners start from the recognition of regarding them as the comparatively ‘weak consumers’ in financial transactions. Thus, to protect ‘financial consumers’, we can find consumer protection regulations in various financial laws. Financial consumers are largely classified as depositors, borrowers,financial investors, policyholders, etc.; there are many legislations to protect them, including the Banking law, the Depositor Protection Act, Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act, Insurance Section in the Commercial Law, Insurance Law. Accordingly, the voices that specific legislation for the financial consumer protection should be enacted have been raised, and this is tentatively named ‘Financial Consumer Protection Act (Draft)’On the other hand, with increasing trade with China and the increasing number of financial transactions in China, lots of financial companies are also actively making inroad to the Chinese Market. Dozens of corporate form(legal entity) and licensed(qualified) foreign institutional investors (QFII) in the form of a financial company have already entered the Chinese Market. Therefore, an understanding of China's financial law has its practical meanings. South Korea and China have a little difference in the financial legislation and regulatory mechanisms and authority seem somewhat different, but importantly, through the financial crisis of 2008, in both countries, there are a kind of consistency in tightening financial consumers protection. The concept of consumer finance is still unclear, so it is necessary to specify its concept by setting a target for the financial consumer protection and furthermore efforts to protect financial consumers will be needed in each financial authorities. Also, if necessary, it is feasible to establish a dedicated agency for financial consumer protection. Efforts such as establishment of financial institution’s complaint handling procedures (Ombusman) and ADR of professional mediation institutions could also be considered. Most importantly, both nations should try to make appropriate financial and banking legislations according to their unique circumstances.

현실요법이 비행청소년의 통제위와 정신건강에 미치는 영향

This study used a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design which was conducted to investigate the effects of a reality therapy group treatment on the locus of control and mental health of juvenile delinquents. The research process of this study was as follows : subjects received an eight sessions reality therapy group treatment program over a four week period. The locus of control and mental health was measured with the internal-external locus of control scale developed by Rotter(1966) and translated by Cha(1973) and the symptom check list-90-revision developed by Derogatis(1976) and translated by Kim(1984) to investigate the effects of the reality therapy. The results that were not hypothesized were : there were no significant differences in the locus of control scores and mental health scores between the experimental group and the control group after treatment. But if the follow-up studies were taken, the results may have a possibly supported the hypothesis because the treated subjects' locuses of control moved in an internal direction and were reduced in anxiety, depression, phobic anxiety and somatization among the mental health status after treatment as compared to the four weeks prior to treatment.

Changes in Coronary Flow Reserve Assessed by Transthoracic Echocardiography after Lipid-Lowering Therapy in Patients with Hypercholesterolemia

Background:The coronary flow reserve is known to be reduced in patients with hypercholesterolemia, and hasalso been reported to improve after lipid-lowering therapy. Using transthoracic Doppler echocardiography, thechanges in the coronary flow reserve were evaluated after lipid-lowering therapy in hypercholesterolemicpatients. Methods:The coronary flow reserve was determined by pulsed-wave Doppler examination at the distalleft anterior descending coronary artery before and after five months of lipid-lowering therapy in 14 hypercholesterolemicpatients (total cholesterol ≥230 mg/dL) with no other modifiable risk factors of coronary heartdisease. Results:In all patients, the total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol were significantlydecreased after therapy (from 273±27 mg/dL to 199±22 mg/dL, p=0.001, from 182±25 mg/dL to 110±27mg/dL, p=0.001, respectively). However, there was no significant change in the coronary flow reserve afterlipid-lowering therapy (from 2.4±0.5 to 2.5±0.5, p=0.875). The Baseline LDL-cholesterol showed an inversecorrelation with the baseline coronary flow reserve (r =-0.649, p=0.012). Conclusions:In the present study, nosignificant change in the coronary flow reserve was noted after lipid-lowering therapy in hypercholesterolemicpatients with no other risk factors of coronary heart disease, although the baseline LDL-cholesterol levels werefound to correlate well with the baseline coronary flow reserve. Transthoracic Doppler echocardiography can beused to easily and non-invasively evaluate the changes in the coronary flow velocity, coronary flow reserve andother related parameters. Therefore, a controlled trial using transthoracic Doppler echocardiography relatingto the effect of lipid-lowering therapy on patients showing a wider range of baseline risk factors and LDLcholesterollevel is required.
