        Strong Red Photoluminescence from Nano-porous Silicon Formed on Fe-Contaminated Silicon Substrate

        The influences of the deep-level concentration of p-type Si substrates on the optical properties of nano-porous silicon (PS) are investigated by deep level transient spectroscopy (DLTS) and photoluminescence (PL). Utilizing a Si substrate with Fe contaminations significantly enhanced the PL intensity of PS. All the PS samples formed on Fe-contaminated silicon substrates had stronger PL yield than that of reference PS without any intentional Fe contamination but the emission peak is not significantly changed. For the PS1000 sample with Fe contamination of 1,000 ppb, the maximum PL intensity showed about ten times stronger PL than that of the reference PS sample. From PL and DLTS results, the PL efficiency strongly depends on the Fe-related trap concentration in Si substrates.

        구조방정식 모형을 활용한 초등 예비교사들의 생물학 실험 활동에 대한 태도, 환경 혐오감, 생물학 교수 불안 간의 관계 분석

        This study aims to analyze relations among 3 kinds of latent variables, attitude toward biology laboratory activities, environmental aversion and biology teaching anxiety in 155 elementary pre-service teachers. Thus, this study conducted structural equation modeling based on descriptive statistics, satisfaction of normal distribution conditions and correlation analysis. It was found that the three kinds of latent variables all met normal distribution conditions. Besides, statistically significant correlations were found among measurement variables of each latent variable. The research model was established based on the structural equation analysis results, showing that the more positive attitude they had toward biology laboratory activities, the more positive effect it had on environmental aversion, and attitude toward biology laboratory activities had indirect effect, rathe than direct effect, on biology teaching anxiety through environmental aversion as a mediator. The goodness-of-fit of this model was confirmed through goodness-of-fit indices, such as RMSEA, TLI and CFI, variance estimates and path coefficients. Overall, this study found it important to make positive changes in biology laboratory activities and reduce environmental aversion so that the level of biology teaching anxiety can be maintained low.

        변형된 Vee diagram을 활용한 탐구 실험 수업이 고등학생들의 생물 탐구 능력과 학습 동기에 미치는 영향

        In this study, since Vee diagram developed by Novak and Gowin(1984) was considered too complex to apply to highschool students, the revised Vee diagram suggested by Vanhear(2006) which can be easily understood and drawn up by students was utilized in conducting inquiry experiment classes. The study aimed to identify its effects on biological inquiry skills and motivation of highschool students. As research subjects, this study adopted two first-grade classes of an academic highschool, one of which was the experimental group consisting of thirty-one students, and the other was the control group consisting of thirty-two. The experimental group was given an inquiry experiment class utilizing revised Vee diagram on the seven subjects for inquiry experiment; the control group was given a class conducting inquiry experiment by the method suggested in the textbook and drawing up traditional reports on the same subjects. As a result of the study, first, the inquiry experiment class utilizing revised Vee diagram was effective in improving biological inquiry skills, particularly indicating significant effects in such sections as Assumption, Interpretation and Hypotheses. Second, the inquiry experiment class utilizing Vee diagram was effective in improving the motivation for learning biology. Significant effects were found in such subsections as intrinsic motivation and personal relevance; self-efficacy and assessment anxiety; self-determination; and grade motivation.

        들뢰즈의 주름론에 따른 초등 예비교사의 과학교사 되기 탐색 - 현미경 관찰활동을 중심으로 -

        This study explored pre-service elementary school teachers’ becoming science teachers through the microscope-used observation activity, based on Deleuze’s Theory of Fold. As research subjects, this study selected 56 pre-service elementary school teachers who had arranged the contents of microscope-used observation activities according to Science Textbook Research & Teaching Methods (in the Domain of Life) and analyzed their relevant research notebooks. The research subjects were divided into two groups, depending on how far they participated in the microscope-used observation activity. One had conducted the activity as much as requested by the science teacher instructor, particularly to the degree of remaining in the common room of Deleuze’s Baroque House, and the other had conducted the activity to the end, in which starting from virtuality and possibility through folding and unfolding in the room filled with folds, they had reached actualization and realization. The analysis results showed that those who could remain in the common room were higher in frequency than those who could reach the phase. Those who had reached the phase of being science teachers through folding and unfolding, however, came to recognize problems of the textbooks regarding transpiration and microorganism observation as future science teachers, and even displayed their competences in drawing up new designs. While experiencing the process of actualizing a theory in person, they came to express their desires for being science teachers. Besides, it was found that on what was not mentioned in the textbook, they expressed their inner strategies outwards, while experiencing an actualized process of being science teachers. In the microscope-used observation activity, those who expressed desires for being science teachers through possibility-representation-realization came to represent the possibility while setting up actual strategies to get adapted to using the microscope. Through this process, their adaptation became realized, and they expressed desires for being science teachers who could establish class plans to conduct biological observation activities with microscopes in person.

        국립공원 자연관찰로 해설판의 텍스트 구조 분석

        This study aims to analyze the text sentence level of interpretation boards along nature trails in national parks by the ratio of short, compound and complex sentences, and analyze the textuality, which indicates structurality and cohesion by 5 types of proposition meaning relations, ultimately finding out the possible effect of the analysis results on visitors’ interpreting the interpretation boards. As research subjects, this study selected Wonjeokgol Nature-Observation Trail, Heebang Valley Nature-Observation Trail and Geumsan Nature-Observation Trail, which have superior accessibility and well-defined boundaries with other neighboring nature-observation trails, out of all the nature-observation trails in national parks. Out of all the 295 sentences from the three nature-observation trails, 253 ones were found to be complex sentences, which shows that the interpretation boards were mostly composed of complex sentences. This finding indicates that the structure of interpretation board sentences is quite complicated, and it was anticipated that the interpretation boards would be difficult for children to understand, since they have a comparatively low level of sentence interpretation. To increase the readability of the interpretation boards, therefore, this study found it necessary to lower the ratio of complex sentences. When analyzing the types of sentence relations in the text structure of the interpretation boards, this study found out that enumeration relation was found most in all the three nature-observation trails, followed by core-description relation, causation relation, correspondence relation, and literacy relation. Texts organized in enumeration relation indicate that each interpretation board contains various and plentiful details. When analyzing the textuality based on the types of sentence relations, this study found out that Wonjeokgol Nature-Observation Trail has the highest structurality and cohesion as it showed the highest T Index. 본 연구에서는 국립공원 자연관찰로의 해설판의 텍스트 문장 수준을 단문, 중문, 복문의 비율로 분석하고, 텍스트 구조를 5종류의 명제 관계유형에 따른 구조성과 응집성을 의미하는 텍스트성을 분석하여 탐방객의 해설판 해석에 어떠한 영향을 줄 수 있는지를 평가하고자 하였다. 분석 대상은 국립공원 자연관찰로 중에서 접근성이 우수하고 주변 탐방로와의 명확한 경계를 통해 뚜렷한 원적골 자연관찰로, 희방계곡 자연관찰로, 금산 자연관찰로로 하였다. 3곳의 자연관찰로는 전체 295문장 중에서 복문이 253문장을 차지하여 대부분 복문으로 해설판 문장이 구성된 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 해설판 문장의 구조가 복잡하다는 것을 의미하며, 문장의 해석 수준이 낮은 어린이의 경우 해설판의 이해에 어려움을 겪을 것으로 예상되었다. 따라서 해설판의 이독성을 높이기 위해 복문의 비율을 더 낮출 필요가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 자연관찰로 해설판의 텍스트 구조에서 문장의 관계 유형을 분석한 결과, 3곳의 자연관찰로 모두 나열관계가 가장 많았으며 그다음으로 핵술관계, 인과관계, 대응관계, 문해관계 순으로 나타났다. 나열관계로 텍스트가 구성되어 있다는 것은 다양하고 많은 내용이 각각의 해설판에 담겨 있다는 것을 의미한다. 문장의 관계유형을 바탕으로 텍스트성을 분석한 결과에서는 원적골 자연관찰로의 T의 지수가 가장 높은 것을 볼 때 구조성과 응집성이 가장 높은 것으로 분석되었다.

        증산작용 과학 영재수업에서 나타난 초․중학교 과학영재들의 선개념과 탐구 수행 능력 비교 분석

        This research comparatively analyzed science-gifted primary and middle schoolers’ preconception types and process skills by utilizing the inquiry theme of transpiration that is commonly included in the science educations of primary and middle schools. The research led to the following conclusions: First, regarding their preconceptions on transpiration, both of the science-gifted primary and middle schoolers proved to have alternative concepts on the place where transpiration occurs and the principle by which pores open and close. In particular, those middle schoolers showed the sounder level of understanding than those primary schoolers did due to their various experiences of learning, but still many gifted students showed the basic level of understanding despite their completed learning at the level of primary education. Second, as regards their process skills, science-gifted middle schoolers showed the higher levels of hypothesis formulation and experiment design than those primary schoolers did, but there were no significant differences between both groups in the skills of data analysis and conclusion deduction. Particularly, about the element of data analysis, they showed difficulty in the skill of drawing graphs. As the research subjects were the science-gifted students, they might be considered to have completed the basic understanding on integrated process skill; but as a result of this research, many students who had received the education for the gifted could be proved not to have sufficient understandings of the integrated process skill. 본 연구에서는 초등학교와 중학교 과학에서 공통적으로 다루어지고 있는 증산작용 탐구 주제를 과학 영재수업에 활용하여 초등 과학영재들과 중학교 과학영재들의 선개념의 유형과 탐구 수행 능력을 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결론은 첫째, 증산작용 관련 선개념 분석에서는 증산작용이 일어나는 장소와 기공이 열리고 닫히는 원리에 대해 초․중등 영재 모두 대안적 개념이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 중학교 과학영재들은 다양한 학습경험으로 초등 과학영재들보다는 정통한 이해 수준을 나타냈으나, 여전히 많은 영재들이 초등 교육과정에서 학습이 이루어졌음에도 불구하고 증산작용에 대해 기초적인 이해수준을 보였다. 둘째, 탐구 수행 능력 측면에서는 중학교 과학영재들이 초등 과학영재보다 가설설정과 실험설계에서는 높은 수준을 나타냈으나 자료해석과 결론도출에서는 두 집단간에 의미 있는 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 특히, 자료해석 요소에서 그래프 작성에 어려움을 보였고 이로 인하여 과학적 결론을 이끌어내지 못하는 현상이 나타났다. 본 연구는 과학영재를 대상으로 하였으므로 이들에게는 통합탐구과정에 대한 기본적 이해가 이루어진 것으로 생각될 수 있으나 본 연구의 결과 영재교육을 받은 많은 학생들이 통합탐구과정에 대한 이해가 충분하지 않은 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

        초등 과학 영재학생들의 확산에 대한 개념 구조와 이해도 분석

        본 연구에서는 교육대학교 영재교육원에 소속된 초등 6학년 80명의 과학 영재학생들를 대상으로 단어 연상 검사와 그리기 검사, 개념 이해 검사를 통하여 확산 개념과 관련된 개념 구조와 개념 이해도를 파악하는 데 연구 목적이 있었다. 초등 과학 영재학생들이 확산에 대해 진술한 문장에서 주요 단어들을 추출한 결과 99개의 단어가 확인되었으며 그중에서 ‘퍼진다’, ‘물질’, ‘이동’ 출현 빈도가 높았다. 의미연결망을 통해 시각화하였을 때에도 ‘퍼진다’가 중심에 위치하며 ‘물질’과의 연결이 가장 많이 이루어진 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 초등 과학 영재학생들이 그린 확산 그림을 분석한 결과에서는 오개념을 포함한 불완전한 그림인 3수준이 가장 높은 빈도를 보였다. 오개념을 포함한 그림에는 평형이 유지되지 않는 상태로 분자들이 일부만 이동하거나 생물에서만 확산이 일어난다고 표현하거나 빛의 분산이나 시각에서의 시야를 확산으로 이해한 경우 등이 있었다. 확산에 대한 개념 이해도 분석 결과에서도 다양한 오개념을 포함한 불완전한 개념이 많은 것으로 분석되었으며 확산 개념을 표면적으로 해석하는 경향을 보였다. 확산 개념은 생물학적 현상들을 이해하도록 돕는 주된 개념이며, 정확한 개념을 파악하려면 용해, 용해도, 분자운동과 같은 과학개념들을 알아야 하므로 영재수업에서는 별도의 프로그램을 개발하여 학습이 이루어질 할 필요가 있다. This study aimed to comprehend the conceptual structure and understanding of diffusion in science-gifted elementary school students. Thus, word association test, drawing test and conceptual understanding test were conducted on 80 gifted elementary school students in the six grade, who belonged to a gifted education center of university of education. When extracting key words from sentences they wrote on diffusion, this study confirmed 99 words, out of which, ‘Spread’, ‘Substance’ and ‘Movement’ appeared high in frequency. When visualized through semantic network, ‘Spread’ was positioned in the center, connecting with ‘Substance’ most. When analyzing their drawings of diffusion, this study found Level 3 most in frequency, which indicates an incomplete drawing with misconception included. Especially, in the drawings with misconception included, some often expressed that molecules partially moved in a state of balance not being sustained, or diffusion took place only in living organism, and others even understood diffusion as dispersion of light or visual field. When analyzing their conceptual structure of diffusion, this study discovered many of them had incomplete concepts including various misconceptions. The concept of diffusion is one of the main concepts that help students understand biological phenomena, and to have the exact concept of diffusion, students should understand other science concepts, such as dissolution, solubility and molecular motion. Therefore, it is necessary to develop additional programs and help them learn more effectively in classes for the gifted.

        국립공원 자연관찰로를 통한 생태교육적 장소정체성 형성에 대한 기호학적 해석

        This study aimed to find out the formation of ecologically educational place identity of nature trails in national parks, which elementary school students to adults can understand, by analyzing the connectivity between characteristics (signs) of nature trails and elementary science environment-related key concepts and the domain of ecological education in the course of environment and by developing a semiotic interpretation model of place identity based on Barthes's semiotic theory. When analyzing correlations between the interpretation board-focused surrounding environment of nature trails and the content system of ecological education, this study found out that it showed the highest connectivity with the domain of ‘System of Ecological Environment’. When analyzing the formation of place identity of nature trails in terms of semiotics, this study discovered that geographical locations or landscapes, artificial environments and physical elements as characteristics of surrounding environments mostly acted on the formation of placeness. Besides, it was found that both knowledge and attachment elements equally could act on the formation of a sense of place. Being likely to develop through interaction between placeness and a sense of place, place identity was mostly composed of behavioral internal stages and sympathetic internal stages. To diversify the formation of place identity, however, this study found it necessary to develop environment education projects and create surrounding environments and interpretation boards with the environmental uniqueness of nature trails reflected much more.
