현실가상 : 도자예술에서 상상력의 물질화와 감각적 경험의 융합

본 논문은 도자예술을 통해 구현된 '현실가상(Reality Imagination)' 개념을 중심으로, 물질성과 비물질성의 융합을 통한 감각적 경험의 재구성을 탐구한다. 현실가상은 가상현실(Virtual Reality)과 대조되는 개념으로, 물질성을 강조하며 상상력을 현실 세계에 구체화하는 방식에 중점을 둔다. 디지털 가상현실이 제공하는 비물질적 경험이 물질적 충만함을 대체하지 못하는 한계를 보완하기 위해 등장한 현실가상은 도자기와 같은 원초적 재료를 통해 상상력을 실현하고 감각적 경험을 강화한다. 오타니 워크샵의 물질적 가상성 구현과 자넷 카디프의 비물질적 가상성 구현을 사례로, 본 연구는 물질과 비물질이 상호작용하는 예술적 접근을 분석하였다. 이를 통해 현실가상이 단순한 물질성과 비물질성의 융합을 넘어, 예술적 경험의 다층적 구조와 철학적 의미를 재구성하는 새로운 패러다임을 제시함을 논의하였다. 본 논문은 도자예술이 상상력의 물질적 구현을 통해 어떻게 새로운 예술적 가능성을 창출할 수 있는지를 제시하고, 도자예술의 경계를 확장하는 데 기여하고자 한다. This paper explores the concept of "Reality Imagination" as implemented through ceramic art, focusing on the reconstruction of sensory experience through the convergence of materiality and immateriality. As a concept contrasting with virtual reality, "Reality Imagination" emphasizes materiality and concentrates on embodying imagination in the physical world. Developed to address the limitations of the immaterial experiences offered by digital virtual reality, "Reality Imagination" realizes imagination and enhances sensory experience through primary materials like ceramics. By analyzing the implementation of material virtuality in Otani Workshop's works and immaterial virtuality in Janet Cardiff's works, this study examines the artistic approach in which material and immaterial elements interact. The discussion presents "Reality Imagination" as a new paradigm that goes beyond the mere fusion of materiality and immateriality, restructuring the multi-layered structure and philosophical meaning of artistic experience. This paper aims to demonstrate how ceramic art can create new artistic possibilities through the materialization of imagination, contributing to the expansion of the boundaries of ceramic art.

Postappendectomy bleeding is a rare and occasionally catastrophic phenomenon. Bleed-ing in the gastrointestinal tract may occur early or late. The cause of late bleeding included ulceration, vascular malformation or granuloma. We experienced a case of delayed appendiceal stump ulceration and bleeding who underwent an appendectomy 1 year ago. The patient was admitted due to melena. A colonoscopy showed a well-circumscribed deep ulcer containing of silk suture material at the base of appendiceal stump. Biopsy revealed only granulation tissue with nonspecific inflammation. The silk was removed by biopsy forcep and sulfasalazine was tried. A repeat colonoscopy showed the complete ulcer healing 3 months later. We report this case with a review of literatures.
