        In this paper, the synthesis procedufe of impedance matching network is presented for broad-band microwave amplifier design, whereby amplifier operating in the octave bandwidth is designed and fabricated in detail. The transfer function of the matching netowrks is synthesized by chebyshev approximation and element values for the networks of specified topology are calculatd for various MILs and ripples. After the transistor is modeled by negative-image device model, the synthesis procedure for matching networks is applied to broad-band amplifier design which has electrical performance of about 12dB gain in 4 to 8GHz range. Experimental results obtained from the fabricated amplifier are shown to approach the electrical performance designed in the given frequency range. Construction of the impedance matching networks by transfer function synthesis is very useful method for the design of broad-band microwave amplifiers.

      • Coupling and nitration study of azole compounds

        High energy density materials (HEDMs) on the base nitroazoles are widely used for not only military purposes but also civilian applications. It has been reported that polynitroazoles have high heat of formation, density, and low sensitivity toward friction, impact and thermal shock. Therefore they are expected to be backbones of HEDMs and 3,4,5-trinitropyrazole( TNP) derivatives are representatives which have been actively studied recently. The bridged polynitroazole compounds are promising structures to improve the explosive performances because they are expected to have high density and positive oxygen balance. However N-N’-alkyl-bridged nitroazoles are rarely studied except for N-N’-ethyl-bridged azoles. Our group has been studied synthesis methods of N-N’-alkyl-bridged nitroazole compounds and their further nitrated derivatives as basic skeletons for potential HEDMs. Herein, we demonstrate a synthesis of N-N’-alkyl-bridged nitroazoles and their nitration experiment results.

      • Process development for the one-step synthesis of laurolactam as a monomer for PA-12

        Thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) is known to have both elastomeric and thermoplastic properties. Among these TPEs, the global demand for polyamide based thermoplastic elastomers (TPAEs) is continuously increasing in recent years because of their excellent properties like chemical and hydrolytic resistance, thermal stability, elastic recovery and so on. Polyamide-12 (PA-12) elastomers are widely used hard segments of TPAEs and laurolactam is a representative monomer for the PA-12. In this work, we have developed an efficient one-step process for the synthesis of laurolactam from a commercially available cyclododecanone via Beckmann rearrangement reaction. A convenient purification method, recrystallization is also studied for the application in the industry.

        사회대중당의 성립과 노선

        본 연구는 4 ․ 19혁명 이후 창단한 사회대중당을 다루고 있다. 이승만 정권이 퇴진하였고, 그것에만 그친 것이 아니라 광복 이후, 6 ․ 25 이후 보수적 정치사회경제 흐름에 새로운 시대적 요구를 하였다. 혁신세력은 정치조직화를 이루려 노력하였다. 그중 사회대중당이 가장 행동통일이 이루어졌고, 이들은 7 ․ 29 선거를 대비한 정당을 결당하고 혁신세력을 규합하였다. 사회대중당은 1960년 6월 17일 ‘사회대중당 결당준비대회’을 열어 그 선언문에서 ‘사회대중당의 사상적 기초나 이론적 지도 원리가 최고 형태의 민주주의, 즉 민주적 사회주의이다’라고 주장하고, ‘우리의 민주적 사회주의는 그 국제적 공통적 성격과 아울러 그 한국적 성격의 일면을 가지지 않을 수 없음이 분명하다’ 고하였다. 사회대중당은 결당준비대회를 마치고 의욕적으로 7 ․ 29선거에 예비후보를 세웠으나 극히 일부만이 당선되고 참패하였다. 총선 이후 리더쉽에 대한 불신과 갈등, 진보당계와 비진보계의 불화로 인하여 소모적인 분열 양상을 보였다. 결국 1차, 2차등의 분열이 일어나 껍질만 남게 된 사회대중당은 5 ․ 16 군사 쿠데타 직후인 1961년 5월 22일 <포고령> 제6조에 의하여 해산되었다. 사회대중당은 당시 강력한 반공정권을 원했던 미국의 입장과 민중이 반공이데올로기에서 벗어나지 못하고 있었다는 것을 정확히 인지하지 못하였다. 내부적으로 조직의 구심점을 이룰 만한 인물이 없었고, 그로 인해 크고 작은 갈등으로 선거이후 여러 갈래로 나뉘게 되었다. 이러한 점들은 분명 사회대중당, 그리고 당시 혁신세력이 가지고 있는 한계점 이라고 할 수 있다. 하지만 4 ․ 19 이후에 있었던 사회적 요구, 즉 혁명완수와 민족자주적 평화통일, 계획경제와 자립경제를 합리적으로 혼합한 계획성 있는 경제체제확립을 주장하며 활동한 사회대중당은 한국현대사에서 사회민주주의 정당으로서 그 의미가 있다고 하겠다. April 19th Revolution became a new turning point to the then Korean society which had been politically and socially dominated by the anti­communist conservatism. Not only was the Rhee Seongman Regime removed, but also new needs of the time surfaced against the conservative political, social, economic flow that had existed since Independence and the June 25th Korean Civil War. The crusading forces tried political systematization, and among those forces, sahoe­daejoong party had the most systematized activities, formed a political party to prepare for the July 29th Election, and gathered the crusading forces. It held ‘sahoe­daejoong party­Forming Preparatory Convention’ on June 17th 1960, whose proclamation insisted that ‘sahoe­daejoong party’s ideological basis and theoretical guiding principle be democracy in its supreme form, that is, democratic socialism.’ and announced ‘Our democratic socialism should inevitably bear both its internationally common characteristic and its Korean characteristics.’ After its preparatory convention, the party nominated candidates for the July 29th Election, where only a small number got elected, ending up with a miserable defeat. After the election, the party underwent consumptively divisive phase due to distrust in leadership, friction, and disharmony between the liberalists and non­liberalists. After all, division took place once and again, leaving the party empty­shelled, and got compulsorily dissolved on May 22nd 1961 by Clause 6 of <Edict> right after May 16th Military Coup. sahoe­daejoong party was not precisely aware that the USA needed a strong anti­communist regime, and people still lingered in the frame of anti­communist ideology. It also lacked a figure, around whom the organization could unite, owing to which, small and big frictions tore the party into many pieces. All these can be said to have been the limitations the then crusading forces as well as the party had. However, sahoe­daejoong party bears its meaning as a socialist democratic party in Korean contemporary history in that it insisted on building a well­planned economic system reasonably containing the post April 19th Revolution requests such as completion of the Revolution, nation’s autonomous peaceful unification, mixture of planned economy with independent economy.

      • 운동중인 등방성 플라즈마 층으로 덮인 평면도체 슬랏 안테나의 복사특성 해석

        The radiation characteristics of a slot antenna in a plane conductor covered with a miving isotropic plasma layer are analyzed. The radiation null which causes distortion in radiation pattern is explainted by the zero of integrand in an asymptotic integral for radiation fields as a function of the plasma parameter and the plasma velocity. Numerical resutls for a radiation null calculated from various plasma and velocity parameters correspond to the results of two-dimensional problem.

      • Nitration study of azole compounds

        High-nitrogen content compounds have been widely investigated as the high energy materials (HEMs). It was reported that these materials have high-energy-density and low sensitivity toward friction, impact and thermal shock. Moreover, they possess a large amount of C-N, N-N bonds and therefore can have high heat of formation. Azole compounds are known to stable chemical properties, so they are expected to be the backbones of a novel High-nitrogen energetic materials. Especially, polynitroazole compounds that combine a high nitrogen content with high heats of formation and good stabilities are promising high-nitrogen energy materials. Recently our group have studied an effective synthesis method of polynitroazole compounds using various nitration method. Herein we demonstrate the nitration study about azole compounds.
