Recent technological advances in ultrasound instrumentation have resulted in equipment that will image in "real-time" slices of the human brain similar in quality to computerized tomography(CT). Multiple authors have attested to its usefulness in location, characterizing, and facilitating in the biopsy or removal, or both, of intracerebral masses. In this study, the author has examined the efficacy of intraoperative neurosurgical ultrasound in 18 patients who were admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery. Kyung Hee University Hospital. The results were as follows, 1) It can provide critical assistance in precise localization of subcortical masses, since in many instances the overlying surface of brain provides no clue for localization 2) This technique is very useful for the identificantion of deep lesions, providing information about their solid and cystic components and about the shortest route of access to tumor. 3) It provides precise information to help guide biopsy needles into deep lesions, and to confirm their presence within the lesion itself. 4) The system is highly accurate in visualizing ventricular catheters during and after their placement. 5) The system is inherently safe for the patient and the operating room personnel since there is no radiation exposure.

Cerebral cysticercosis is relatively common disease in Korea. But spinal intramedullary cysticercosis is very rare. We have recently experienced a case of thoracic intramedullary cysticercosis which was misdiagnosed as intramedullary tumor. We performed CT myelography and MRI, and they showed a cystic mass, suggesting intramedullary tumor. Laminectomy was performed and cystic mass was removed. Pathological diagnosis of specimen was cysticercosis.

Although Park Jang-hyun lived for a short time, he stood out in the field of Confucianism and history and left many related writings. In the midst of the loss of his country, he thought about the role of intellectuals and diagnosed that his country was annexed to Japan because previous Confucian scholars did not understand the reality properly, but he saw that it was not a matter of Confucianism itself. Confucianism was not a study to be discarded, but rather an object to be restored. The problem was the attitude or interpretation of Confucian Classics. He saw that although Confucian Classics emphasizes universal truths, on the other hand, its interpretation and application should vary depending on reality and the situation of the times. Representative sentences on the study of Park Jang-hyun's Confucian Classics abroad include "Gyeonghakdogbon" and "Samgyeongsurok". The three Confucian Classics mentioned in “Samgyeongsurok” are “The Book of Songs”, “The Book of History” and “The Book of Changes”. These are included in the sentences of “Doksisugi”, “Doksiseogi”and “Juyeokhokmun”. Through the analysis of these three sentences, this paper attempts to analyze Park Jang-hyun's views on Confucian Classics and its interpretation. 박장현은 짧은 세월을 살았지만 유학(儒學)과 역사 분야에서 두각을 나타내고 관련 저술을 많이 남겼다. 조국을 빼앗긴 시대적 상황 속에서 그는 지식인이 가져야 할 역할에 대해 고민하여 이전의 유학자들이 현실을 제대로 파악하지 못했기 때문에 조국이 일본에 병탄되는 사태가 발생했다고 진단하였지만, 그것은 유학 자체의 문제가 아니라고 보았다. 유학은 폐기되어야 할 학문이 아니라 오히려 회복하여야 할 대상이었다. 문제는 경전을 대하는 태도나 해석이 문제라고 보았다. 그는 경전이 보편적인 진리를 강론하기는 하지만 다른 한편으로 그 해석과 적용(適用)은 현실과 시대 상황에 따라 달라져야 한다고 보았다. 박장현의 유학 경전에 관한 문장 중 대표적인 것으로는 「경학독본(經學讀本)」과 「삼경수록(三經隨錄)」이 있다. 「삼경수록」에서 말하는 세 가지 경전은 바로 시경(詩經)・서경(書經)・역경(易經)이다. 이들은 각각 「독시수기(讀詩隨記)」・「독서수기(讀書隨記)」・「주역혹문(周易或問)」의 문장 속에서 수록되어 있다. 본 논문은 이 세 편의 분석을 통하여 박장현의 경전과 경전해석에 대한 관점들에 대해 분석하려 한다.

주파수 응답함수 (FRF)를 이용하여 평판 구조물에 존재하는 손상을 규명하기 위한 새로운 구조손상 규명기법을 소개하였다. 본 연구의 구조손상 규명기법은 손상된 평판의 운동방정식으로부터 유도되었으며 손상 분포함수를 이용하여 손상의 특성을 나타내었다. 본 연구의 구조손상 규명기법의 주요 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 손상된 구조물에 대한 모드 데이터를 요구하지 않으며, 둘째, 가진주파수와 측정점을 적절히 다수 선택함으로써 손상규명에 요구되는 관계식을 확보하는데 보다 유리하다. 몇몇 수치모의실험을 통하여 본 연구에서 제안한 구조손상 규명기법의 적용 가능성을 검증하였다. In this study, an FRF-based structural damage identification method (SDM) is proposed for plate structures. The present SDM is derived from the partial differential equation of motion of the damaged plate, in which damages are characterized by using a damage distribution function. The appealing features of the present SDM include the following. First, the modal data of the damaged structure are not required. Secondly, a sufficient number of information can be generated from the measured FRFs by simply varying excitation frequencies and response measurement points. The feasibility of the present SDIM is verified through some numerically simulated damage identification tests.
