The synthesis and binding integrity of an ErbB2-binding modified DNA aptamer (E2Ap) with 5-naphtyl-2′-deoxyuridine is confirmed by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry and by a32P dot blotting experiment. E2Ap degradation in a conventional Cu(I)-catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) condition is efficiently prevented by using tris(3-hydroxypropyltriazolylmethyl)amine (THPTA). The immobilization of E2Ap on a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) chip is performed by azido-functionalization and THPTA-assisted CuAAC reaction. The folding, target binding, regeneration, and nonspecific interaction of E2Ap on the SPR chip are verified by both classical and kinetic titration experiments.

Since in vitro neural recording and imaging applications based on a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) technique have expanded dramatically in recent years, cytotoxicity assessment to ensure the biosafety and biocompatibility for those applications is crucial. Here, we report the cytotoxicity of the SPR substrate incorporating a flint glass whose refractive index is larger than that of a conventional crown glass. A high refractive index glass substrate is essential in neural signal detection due to the advantages such as high sensitivity and wide dynamic range. From experimental data using primary hippocampal neurons, it is found that a lead-based flint glass is not appropriate as a neural recording template although the neuron cells are not directly attached to the toxic glass. We also demonstrate that the adhesion layer between the glass substrate and the gold film plays an important role in achieving the substrate stability and the cell viability.

Persistent Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia is frequently defined as bacteremia persisting for ≥7 days despite proper antibiotic therapy. Its treatment includes removal of all infection foci and proper antibiotic therapy. Vancomycin remains the antibiotic of choice in MRSA bacteremia. Alternative agents, linezolid or daptomycin, are available, but a consensus regarding management of persistent MRSA bacteremia on vancomycin failure is still lacking. We report a case of a 60-year-old male who received thoracoabdominal aorta replacement operation due to dissecting aneurysm of the ascending and descending aorta. Surgical site infection and bacteremia caused by MRSA occured, and wound debridement operations were performed. The patient was treated with vancomycin in therapeutic doses but MRSA bacteremia persisted for 168 days in a row. Although the inserted aortic graft was the most probable source of persistent bacteremia, surgical removal was impossible. Linezolid was administered as an alternative antibiotic but had to be discontinued from time to time due to thrombocytopenia induced by this agent. In the end, MRSA bacteremia was successfully managed by alternating vancomycin-linezolid therapy.
1960년대 라디오의 역할과 김수영 문학에 나타난 라디오에 대한 인식과 태도

본고는 1960년대 대표적인 대중매체였던 라디오의 역할을 검토하고 김수영의 문학작품에 나타난 라디오에 대한 인식과 태도를 일고찰 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 1960년대 근대화의 산물이었던 라디오는 대중들의 오락과 유희를 견인하는 역할도 있었지만, 국가 통제장치로서의 수단으로 작용하여 정치권력 집단의 욕망이 담긴 매체이기도 하였다. 라디오에 관련된 한국문학작품은 의외로 있는 편인데, 그중에서도 특히 라디오는 1960년대 김수영 문학에서 매우 두드러지게 나타나며, 중요한 지점을 표상한다. 김수영 문학에서 라디오는 창작의 동기이자 시상을 이끄는 매개체로 작용하며 라디오에 대한 그의기본적인 인식과 태도는 다분히 부정적이고 비판적이다. 그러나 생활인으로서의 김수영은 라디오에 대한 이중적이고 양가적인 인식과 태도를 취하고 있다는 점이 특이하다고 하겠다

This paper proposes a simple numerical method to simulate ductile failure behaviors. The method is based on finite element analysis with a simple damage theory. To validate the proposed method, simulated results are compared with experimental data. Despite its simplicity, the proposed method well predicts experimental results systematic analyses are also performed to investigate the effect of the element size.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the creative foundation of『Baekdusan』as Jo Gi-cheon's long epic poetry, which is evaluated as a work of showing the canon of anti-Japanese revolution literature in North Korean literature. Jo Gi-Cheon's literary activity, the particularity of the Soviet Korean literary circles which depicted legendary heros of the anti-Japanese rev- olution and the influences of Soviet literature had a great influence on the creative foundation of『Baekdusan』. In addition, 『Hong Beom-do』 , which embodies the legendary hero of anti-Japanese revolution has a strong re- semblance to 『Baekdusan』in many aspects. Epic or long epic poetry poem which was popular and prevalent during the days when Jo Gi-Cheon developed literary activity in the Soviet Union, and ‘Poema' in combination with Mayakovsky's poetry exerted an influence on the creative foundation of『Baekdusan』. In Spite of an undeniable fact that the style of Mayakovsky's poetry and prosody affected the creative foundation of 『Baekdusan』, 『Baekdusan』was to be recreated in national formation with Jo Gi-Cheon independently accepting and modifying Mayakovsky's poetry. 본고는 북한문학에서 항일혁명문학의 전범을 보여준 작품으로 평가된 조기천의 장편서사시『白頭山』의 창작토대를 밝히는 데 목적을 두었다. 『백두산』창작토대에는 趙基天의 문학 활동, 항일혁명의 영웅적 활약상을 형상화했던 재소 고려인문단의 특수성, 소련문학의 영향 등이 작용하였다. 항일혁명의 전설적인 영웅을 형상화했던『홍범도』 는 실제『백두산』작품과 여러 면에서 매우 유사했다. 그리고 조기천이 소련에서 문학 활동을 전개하던 시절 유행하고 성행했던 서사시나 장편서사시, ‘뽀에마’ 등은 마야코프스키 시와 결합하여『백두산』이 창작된 토대로 작용하였다. 『백두산』의 창작토대에 마야코프스키의 시풍과 작시법이 작용한 것은 부인할 수 없는 사실이나, 조기천은 마야코프스키 시를 주체적으로 수용하고 변용, 변주하여 민족적인 형식으로 재창조한 작품이라 할 수 있다.
