        한국인에서 다발성 내분비선종 증후군의 초기 증상 및 임상 양상

        Purpose: Multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) syndrome is an inherited, autosomal dominant disease that presents as a combination of several endocrine tumors. Early diagnosis of this syndrome is difficult, because of the nonspecific symptoms and signs. This study analyzed early manifestations and clinical characteristics in patients with MEN syndrome. Methods: Medical records were retrospectively reviewed and telephone interviews were conducted with 35 patients diagnosed as MEN syndrome at Samsung Medical Center from December 1994 to December 2009. Results: The 35 patients had been diagnosed as MEN1 (n=14), MEN2A (n=19) and MEN2B (n=2). The early manifestations of the 14 MEN1 patients were related with hyperparathyroidism (n=5), pituitary tumor (n=3), and pancreatic endocrine tumor (n=2). There were tumors of the parathyroid gland in all 14 patients, anterior pituitary in eight patients, and pancreatic islet cells in seven patients. Four cases were incidentally detected during the screening examination. Six cases harbored a MEN1 gene mutation. The twenty-one patients diagnosed with MEN2 comprised medullary thyroid cancer (n=20), adrenal pheochromocytoma (n=15), and hyperparathyroidism (n=4). The MTC-related symptoms in the 21 MEN2 patients included neck mass or discomfort in 12 patients and pheochromocytoma-related symptoms in seven patients. Two cases were detected through familial genetic screening test. The RET gene mutationwas detected in 19 cases. Conclusion: Early manifestations of MEN syndrome were very different between the types of MEN and the types of its presenting tumor. The early diagnosis and proper management of MEN requires awareness of the clinical characteristics of each expressed tumor and is influenced by genetic screening methods.         조성 경사구조를 갖는 다공질 Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>-(t-ZrO<sub>2</sub>)/HAp 복합체의 제조 및 In-Vitro 실험

        Functionally gradient porous $Al_2O_3-(t-ZrO_2)/HAp$ composites consist of 3 layers were fabricated using the multi-pass extrusion process at the various temperatures. The continuous pores were homogeneously formed in the $2^{nd}$ passed samples and their size was about $180{\mu}m$ in diameter. In the porous composites sintered at $1200-1400^{\circ}C$, the relative density and bending strength increased with the sintering temperature. The maximum values of relative density and bending strength in the $2^{nd}$ passed $Al_2O_3-(t-ZrO_2)/HAp$ composites were 62.2% and 107.8 MPa, respectively. In order to investigate the growth behavior of osteogenic cells on the functionally gradient porous $Al_2O_3-(t-ZrO_2)/HAp$ composites, an in vitro test was performed, using human osteoblast-like MG-63 cells. The cells were well attached and grown on the rough surface of the inside of the functionally gradient porous body.

        지하공동 상부지층 보강효과에 관한 연구

        연약지반에서 지하 공동의 굴착은 지반침하로 인하여 인근 지반 및 구조물에 영향을 끼치게 되고 그 결과 도로 및 시설물의 안정성에 심각한 위험요소로 작용하고 있다. 따라서 구조물의 안정 및 지반보강을 위하여 여러 가지 공법과 주입재료들을 사용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실내 모형실험을 실시하여 연약지반에서 다양한 종류의 지하공동 굴착 시 상부 지반보강에 따른 지반침하량을 비교 분석하였으며 3차원 유한차분법에 근거한 FLAC 3D를 사용하여 지하공동 굴착에 따른 지반 침하를 수치적으로 모사했다. 모형실험에서의 결괏값과 수치해석의 결괏값이 비교적 일치하는 결과를 토대로 수치해석상에서 보강범위를 달리하여 지반 침하량을 비교 분석하였으며, 그 결과 다양한 종류의 지하공동을 굴착함에 따른 지반침하 발생 여부 및 침하량 산정을 3차원 수치해석을 통해 보다 정확하게 구현할 수 있으며, 본 연구 결과는 지반침하 방지공법의 자료로 이용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. Excavation of underground space in soft ground implicate to the structure, such as subsidence. As a result, it has been acting as a serious risk to the stability of the roads and facilities. Therefore, in order to stabilize the soil stabilization and reinforcement of the structure, we have been using a number of methods and injecting material. In this study, we compared and analyzed the amount of subsidence regarding the ground reinforcement during underground excavation in soft ground by performing model test. And three-dimensional numerical analysis was performed using FLAC 3D. The subsidence was simulated numerically according to the tunnel excavation. The subsidence results of the model tests and numerical analyzes were relatively consistent. Thus comparing the ground subsidence by varying the reinforcement area on the numerical analysis was analyzed. As a results, three-dimensional numerical simulation could be regarded to simulate better on the ground subsidence by various kinds of underground excavation and it can be used as a material of subsidence prevention methods.

        외배엽 기원 세포암에서의 Metallothionein 발현의 의의

        Background: Metallothioneins(MTs) are ubiquitous low molecular weight cytosolic proteins with high contents of cystein that xhibit a selective binding affinity for zinc, copper and other group II heavy metal ions. In additi~on to the sequestration function and detoxification action, MTs probably participate in the cellirlar protection against. ionizing radiation and alkylating agent cytotoxicity and in cellular pn:liferation. Qbject : The objective of this study was to evaIuate the expression of MTs and to clarify t.heir role in carcinogenesis and/or biological behaviour in the neoplasms of ectoderrnal origin. Methods : We performed immunohistochemical studies on the surgical specimens of rnalignant rnelanoma and squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma. The results were compared with the normal skin and mu osa and hair t,issues and raf't-on culture tissues of skin and mucosal keratinocytes. Results . 1) MTs were strongly expressed in epidermal basal cells of the normal skin and raft-on cultured artificial skin They were also rnore weakly expressed in epithelial basal cells of the normal mucosa and raft on cultured artificial mucosa and in matrix cells of the normal hair. 2) In rnalignant melanoma, MTs were meaningfully expressed, i.e., a strong expression was seen in the lesions showing a rapid vertical growth phase with fatal out,comes, but a weak expression in the cases whose precursor lesions were thought as dysplastic nevi, compared to the negative finding of norrnal melanocyt,es. The strong expression in a case of congenit.al rnelanocyt.ic nevus is considered as the activation of nevoid melanocytes. 3) MTs were weakly expressed in squarnous cell carcinoma with a diffuse aattern within the tumor mass. St,rong expression of MTs was particularly apparent in the poorl. differentiated squamous cell carcinoma and at the growing border of well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. 4) In basal cell carcinoma, MTs were rather weakly expressed in solid cireumscribed types with a diffuse pattern and in cystic type with a patchy pattern. However they were not expressed in the solid infiltrative type. Conclusion : From these resuilts, we concluded that MTs were ubiquitously present in possible stem cells of various epithelial tissues except melanocytes irrespective of normal or artificial skin and/or mucosa including norrnal hair tissues. In the neoplasms of ectodermal origin, MTs might be involved in the invasive growth of tumor cells in the malignant melanoma and squamous cell carcinoma. It was implied that the role of MTs in basal cell carcinoma might be related to early events of hasal cell carcinogeresis and its down regulating tendency could be possible in its infil trative stage.         유비쿼터스 정보화사업 평가모형 및 지표 개발에 관한 연구

        This research aims at developing and distributing models and indexes that can evaluate ubiquitous information projects in order to enhance the objectivity and validity of their evaluation. The research adopts a BSC(Balanced Score Card) concept with four views, economic, policy, social, and technical views. The research induces a model of pre-evaluation and a model of post-evaluation according to each view. In order to secure the validity of the models, they are revised and complemented by obtaining advice through interviews with five experts in related fields, and the validity and application possibility of the indexes are verified by surveying ten people working in those fields. Finally, investigating their weights according to the importance of each view and index, they are evaluated using an AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method.

      • Quadratic Residue Diffusor Microwave를 이용한 목재의 내부 온도변화에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서 사용한 QRD(Quadratic Residue Diffusor) 마이크로파는 일반적인 마이크로파와 달리 파장의 위상차를 변화시켜 균일한 살균을 유도할 수 있어 저전력으로 효과를 높일수 있는 새로운 기술로 알려져 있다. 따라서 친환경적이고 에너지 소비가 적은 QRD 마이크로파를 이용하여 목재를 소독 할 가능성에 대한 기초적인 연구를 수행하였으며 얻은 결과는 아래와 같다. 본 연구에 사용된 QRD microwave의 효율성은 E=5.75e0.32S ($R^2$=0.908)로 나타났으며 초기 수분 함수율은 일정하지 않았고 평균 수분함수율은 30.3%이었다. 자연건조 1주일 후의 수분 함수율은 22.6%로써 평균 약 8% 수분함량이 줄어들었다. 또한 마그네트론의 용량이 3 kW에서 9 kW까지 증가할수록 지수함수적인 관계로 온도 상승시간이 줄어드는 것을 알 수 있었다. 목재 강도 시험 결과에서는 QRD microwave 처리 전후로 휨강도, 압축강도, 할렬의 차이는 없었다. 따라서 QRD microwave 용량을 3, 5, 7, 9 kW로 제작하여 실험한 결과 9 kW가 가장 효율성이 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 목재 내부의 선충이나 흰개미 등의 퇴치를 위해서 QRD microwave 용량을 일정부분까지 높여 공급할수록 에너지 효율성에서 유리한 것으로 나타났다. In contrast to conventional microwaves, QRD (Quadratic Residue Diffusor) microwaves are a new energy-efficient technology that enhances the effect of sterilization based on changing the wavelength phase difference. Therefore, this study investigated the sterilization of wood using environmentally friendly and low energy consuming QRD microwaves. The results are as follows: for the QRD microwaves used in this study, the efficiency E = 5.75e0.32 S ($R^2$=0.908). Although the early water content was not constant, the average water content was 30.3% and after one week of natural drying, the water content was 22.6%, representing an average water content reduction of about 8%. When increasing the microwave level from 3 kW ~ 9 kW, the time taken for the temperature to increase was reduced. After the QRD microwave treatment, the wood samples showed no change in their flexural rigidity, compressive strength, or cleavage. The QRD microwave levels used in the experiments were 3, 5, 7, and 9 kW, where 9 kW was found to be the most efficient. Thus, for the purpose of eliminating nematodes and termites inside wood, a higher QRD microwave level was found to be more effective and energy efficient.

        소성 점토의 침탄에 따른 동결융해 저항성 및 적외선 방사특성 연구

        The Physical property changes of calcined clay by carburization were investigated studied. The carburization mechanism is the penetration of carbon which occurred during incomplete fuel combustion into crevice of clay structure. The experiments for elasticity and freeze-thaw resistance were conducted, and the results can be summarized as follows: Dynamic modulus of elasticity and also freeze-thaw resistance of calcined clay by carburization treatment increased more than 92% after testing 300 cycle, which was more improved than 88% of calcined clay. Therefore, it can decrease the possibility of winter-sowing, which is one the weakness of calcined clay. It is on the basis of the fact that the porosity of calcined clay by carburization treatment is about 12%, which indicates smaller pore spaces comparing with the 14% of porosity of calcined clay and those values were calculated by apparent porosity show and also supported by SEM images. Infrared emissivity of calcined clay by carburization treatment and calcined clay were respectively 0.92 and 0.9l at $80^{\circ}C$. However, those values were 0.91 and 0.88 at $200^{\circ}C$, which means infrared emissivity of calcined clay by carburization treatment shows 3.6% higher than the calcined clay. Moreover, within the wavelength range from 3 to $7\;{\mu}m$, while the calcined clay had low infrared emissivity, the calcined clay by carburization treatment had increased infrared emissivity. It is inferred that it was affected by carbon element that has high infrared absorptivity within this wavelength range.

      • 약용식물 추출물 및 식품첨가제가 곶감 식품학적 품질 비교

        곳감 생산 현장에 적용하기 위해 식초, 자몽추출물 등 총 6종의 추출물에 대한 배합비를 설정하였고, 그 결과 우수한 활성을 가지는 천연 복합 활성제의 최종적인 혼합비는 정향 18.18%, 계피 9.90%, 감초 9.09%, 천궁 4.55%, 자몽종자출물 4.55% 및 사과 식초 54.54%임을 확인하였다. 대조구 및 처리구의 수분 함량을 측정한 결과는 항갈변 실험과 항진균 실험, 항갈변/항진균 실험 모두에서 전체적으로 1주차에 비해 6주차에서 수분의 함량이 증가 하였으며 측정 주차 별로 control이 처리구에 비해 수분 함량이 상대적으로 낮았다. 당도 변화에서는 건조가 진행됨에 따라 전반적 곶감의 당도는 증가하였다. 항갈변/항진균 실험에서 $30{\sim}39^{\circ}brix$로 높은 당함량을 보였다. 경도를 측정한 결과에서는 control과 처리구는 거의 비슷하였으며 6주 뒤 평균적으로 0.5~0.8정도 줄어들었다. 색도변화에서는 ${\Delta}$값의 변화는 건조 기간 중감소하는 경향을 나타냈다. 천연추출물은 곶감의 건조기간 중에 나타나는 품질저하를 효과적으로 억제하고 유해성 논란이 되고 있는 유황훈증법을 대체할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. This study presents an eco-friendly persimmon drying system to satisfy consumer preferences and provide a popular food for both the domestic and international markets. The most effective antimicrobial compounds were developed from a combination of plant extracts (18.18% clove buds, 9.90% cinnamon, 9.09% licorice, 4.55% cnidium, 4.55% seed of grapefruit, and 54.54% apple vinegar). The dried persimmons were evaluated as regards their moisture and sugar content, weight, hardness, and color value. During the drying process, the overall moisture content of the persimmons increased, along with the sugar content. The hardness was almost the same for each region and decreased on an average of 0.5~0.86 after 6 weeks. As regards the chromaticity, ${\Delta}E$ decreased during the drying process, while L-value became darker and a-value showed a dark red color over time.
