The major therapeutic human serum albumin was purified into three batches by cold ethanol precipitation method and albumin were studied for the stability. In storage over 39 months, the pH of albumin was slowly acidified from pH 7.0 to pH 6.8. The turbidity was not changed. However, the heme content in albumin was progressively increased with time in storage. Therefore, the color of albumin changed after 1-year of storage. The polymer and aggregates was investigated by HPLC techniques. The HPLC analysis are compared with the polymerization. The polymer form of albumin was increased during storage after the preparation. It is suggested that the denaturation of albumin is not dependent in temperature but dependent increased in fatty acids during storage. The results passed all the internal specifications at the albumin during the tentative expiration.
방사선 조사 후 생쥐(Mus musculus)귀밑샘의 형태와 젖산탈수소효소 동위효소의 변화

The morphological changes of parotid gland in mouse(Mus musculus) were identified according to the radiation amount with the time. The quantity of the apoptotic bodies was observed proportionally to the radiation amount with hematoxylin-eosin(H-E) staining. TUNEL (terminal deoxyribonucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP-digoxigenin nick end labeling) staining was shown the same results with H-E staining. The morphological changes such as the separation of the neighboring cells, condensation of nucleus, cellular budding and fragmentation were occured. After the irradiation, the protein content was decreased in th parotid glands. LDH activity was also decreased in the parotid gland after irradiation. The maximum LDH activity was detected earlier stage after 1 Gy irradiation than 3 Gy irradiation. The pattern of LDH isozyme changed after irradiation. The activity of A₄ and B₄ isozyme was slightly increased among LDH isozymes. The DNA fragmentation in parotid gland of rat was determined in 200 to 400 base pairs from 1 hour to 24 hours after irradiation. The fragmentation pattern was more clearly detected in irradiated cells by 5 Gy than by 20 Gy.
