파라핀 왁스에 열에너지를 저장하기 위해 열전달 기구로 원판형 핀이 달린 열싸이폰을 사용하였다. 실험은 4, 6, 8개의 핀에 대해 수행되었으며 각각의 경우 왁스의 초기 온도와 주입열량을 변화시키면서 실험을 반복하였다. 실험을 통하여 특히 잠열 축열계의 전열경로의 주요지점에서의 열전달 특성을 규명하고자 하였으며 주요 결론은 다음과 같다.<br/> (1) 열싸이폰의 열관류율과 총합열관류율은 핀의 수가 증가함에 따라 커지나 핀과 왁스사이의 열전달계수는 감소하였다.<br/> (2) 핀에 의해 열전달이 촉진됨으로서 핀이 없는 열싸이폰에서 일어나는 dry-out 현상이 제거되었다.<br/> (3) 수평형의 핀은 왁스의 큰 규모의 대류를 억제하며 핀의 수가 증가함에 따라 핀 사이에서의 국소대류도 더욱 억제되었다. A two-phase closed thermosyphon with circular fins was used as the heat transfer device for storing the thermal energy in paraffin wax. Experiments were carried out for 4, 6 and 8 fins and for various initial temperatures of the wax and power inputs. Heat transfer characteristics along the heat flow path were investigated as well as the overall performance of the system.<br/> Some of the important results are as follows: (1) The thermosyphon heat transfer coefficient and the overall heat transfer coefficient increased with the number of fins, whereas the heat transfer coefficient between the fin and the wax decreased; (2) Facilitation of heat transfer by the fins seemed to alleviate the dry-out phenomenon that had been reported to occur in case of bare thermosyphon; and (3) The horizontal fins had adverse effect of subduing a full scale convection in the wax, and the increase of the number of fins delayed the onset of local convection between the fins.

본 논문에서는 초경량 항공기의 엔진 마운트 구조물에 대한 유한요소 해석을 수행하였으며, 구조의 안전성 확보에 중요한 영향을 주는 부분인 복합재료 동체와 엔진 마운트 간의 연결 부위에 대한 해석을 위해 유한요소 프로그램을 작성하였다. 본 연구에 의해 작성된 유한요소 프로그램의 신뢰성을 확인하기 위해 실제로 시편 제작 실험을 실시하여 실험치와 해석치를 비교 검토하였다. The finite element analysis was performed on the ULM's engine mount to verify the structural safety Result showed that proposed engine mount structure has a large margine of safety. Strains and stresses in the vicinity of the joint between a composite fuselage and a metallic engine mount were calculated by the finite element analysis program. Numerical results from the model were compared with the test results. Good agreement was found between experiment and model results.
가정용 공조기의 응축기 적용 알루미늄 열교환기의 성능 평가

The evaluation of aluminum flat tube and louver fin heat exchangers for a condenser in residential air-conditioning applications has been conducted. A series of tests for two-different brazed aluminum heat exchangers was performed and the results were compared with conventional fin and tube heat exchangers for residential air-conditioning system. Refrigerant charge amount for a window-system air-conditioner with the brazed aluminum condenser is decreased by 35% and the volume and material of heat exchanger can be reduced by 50% compared to the conventional fin and tube heat exchangers.
R407C 및 R410B 적용 창문형 에어컨의 성능에 관한 실험적 연구

This study presents test results of a residential window system air-conditioner using R22 and two potential alternative refrigerants, R407C and R410B. A series of performance tests was performed for the basic and liquid-suction heat exchange cycle in a psychrometric calorimeter test facility. For R407C, the same rotary compressor was used as in the R22 system. However, compressor for the R410B system was modified to provide the similar cooling capacity. The evaporator circuit was changed to get a counter-cross flow heat exchanger to take advantage of zeotropic mixture's temperature glide, and liquid-line suction-line heat exchange cycle was also considered to improve the performance of the system. Test results were compared to those for the basic R22 system.
