Venture Capital Activities and Financing of High-tech Ventures in Korea: Lessons from Foreign Experiences

한국의 벤처캐피탈은 투자규모가 세계적인 수준이나 창업초기단계 벤처기업에 대한 투자가 미흡하고 첨단기술 분야 및 수도권에 투자가 집중된 데다 신규상장 및 M&A 시장의 높은 진입장벽 등으로 벤처캐피탈의 투자자금 회수 등이 어려운 상황이다. 첨단기술 벤처기업의 경우 투자자와 벤처기업간 정보의 비대칭성으로 투자자금 조달에 어려움을 겪을 수 있으나 벤처금융 선진국은 정부 자금지원시 시장과 민간투자자와의 연계, 해외 저명 벤처캐피탈사와의 공동투자 유도 등 다양한 유인설계(incentive mechanism design)를 통해 동 문제를 해결하고 있다. 이러한 점들을 감안하여 우리 정부 및 지자체는 민간부문과의 공동펀드 확대, 지역별로 특화된 매칭펀드 조성, M&A 등 벤처캐피탈사의 출구경로 다양화 등을 통해 창업벤처생태계를 개선하는 데 주력할 필요가 있으며, 벤처캐피탈사도 외국 벤처캐피탈사와의 공동투자 등을 통해 투자대상 기업선정 및 가치증대 활동에 노력을 경주할 필요가 있다. Though South Korea has world-class volume of Venture Capital Investment, as a share of GDP, early stage venture investments are still short, and investments are concentrated in high technology area and Capital area. Because of the high barriers to entry of the new IPO and M&A market, the venture capital companies undergo difficulties in profit. High-tech ventures face difficulties in raising money from outside investors due to information asymmetry between venture investors and venture companies. To resolve these problems, developed countries's government make a co-funding investment scheme with private sectors and design incentive mechanism such as receiving knowledge of the reputable investors' joint venture. Korean central and local government can benchmark those of things. For example, the expansion of the investment volume with private sector, region-specific matching fund and venture capital's exit path diversification such as M&A through the establishment of a business venture eco-system. At the same time, venture companies are to make an efforts to enhance the ability of screening for venture companies and the value for investment activities through a joint venture investments.

부정 내적 공간에서의$H^\infty$ 필터의 일반화를 통한 분산 $H^\infty$ 필터의 설계

We design the robust and inherently fault tolerant decetralized$$H^infty$$ filter for the multisensor state estimation problem when there are insufficient priori informations on the statistical properties of external disturbances. For developing the proposed algorithm, an alternative form of suboptimal$$H^infty$$ filter equations are formulated by applying an alternative form of Kalman filter equations to the indefinite inner product space state model of suboptimal$$H^infty$$ filtering problems. The decentralized$$H^infty$$ filter that consists of local and central fusion filters can be designed effciently using the proposed alternative$$H^infty$$ filiter gain equations. The proposed decentralized$$H^infty$$ filter is robust against un-known external disturbances since it bounds the maximum energy gain from the external disturbances to the estimation errors under the prescribed level$$r^2$$ in both local and central fusion filters and is also fault tolerant due to its inherent redundancy. In addition, the central fusion equations between the global and local data can reduce the unnecessary calculation burden effectively. Computer simulations are made to ceritfy the robustness and fault tolerance of the proposed algorithm.

뇌 손상 정도 및 전두엽 손상 유무에 따른 외상성 뇌 손상 환자의 주관적 정신병리

외상성 뇌손상(traumatic brain injury;이하 TBI)환자에서 외상의 심각도와 전두엽 손상 여부에 따른 정신과적 증상에 대해 알아보기 위해 1998년 7월부터 2008년 10월까지 TBI 환자 110명을 대상으로 연구를 시행하였다. 이들을 손상의 심각도에 따라 경도 뇌손상군(mild TBI, 이하 MTBI)과 중등도 뇌손상군(moderate TBI, 이하 MOTBI)으로 나누고, 이를 전두엽 손상 유무에 따라 각각 전두엽 손상군(frontal lobe injury, 이하 FLI)과 비전두엽 손상군(non-frontal lobe injury, 이하 NFLI)으로 구분하였다. 각 군에 대해 병록지 자료 수집 및 SCL-90-R과 MMPI를 시행하였다. SCL-90-R에서 뇌 손상이 심한 경우 정신증 척도가 높고 증상을 더 많이 호소하는 경향을 보였으나 전두엽 손상 유무에 따라서는 차이가 없었다. MMPI의 경우에는 경조증 척도가 뇌손상의 심각도와 전두엽 손상 여부 간의 상호작용이 나타났다. 따라서 뇌손상의 정도가 증가하는 경우 인지기능의 저하에 따른 경조증 증상에 대한 주의가 필요하다. Objectives:The objective of this study was to investigate the subjective psychopathology in patients with traumatic brain injury according to their severity and existent of frontal lobe injury. Methods:S110 patients with traumatic brain injury were selected for study. After classifying patients into mild traumatic brain injury(MTBI) group and moderate traumatic brain injury(MOTBI) group with Glasgow Coma Scale score, each group was subdivided into frontal lobe injury(FLI) group and non frontal lobe injury(NFLI) group. Psychological tests were administered using Korean Wechsler adult intelligence scale(K-WAIS), Symptom checklist 90 revised (SCL-90-R) and Minnesota multiphasic personality inventory(MMPI). Results:Psychoticism score and positive symptom distress level in SCL-90-R was higher in MOTBI group than MTBI group. There was significant interaction between injury severity and existent of frontal lobe injury in hypomanic scale score of MMPI. Conclusion:Careful evaluation of psychotic and affective symptoms are warranted for TBI patients with increasing severity and existent of frontal lobe injury.

신용카드 빅데이터를 활용한 지역별 소비 유출입 특성 연구

국가 및 지역 경제에서 민간소비의 역할이 중요해짐에 따라 지역별 소비 유출입 특성에 대한 연구의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 그런데 지역별 민간소비 상황은 신용카드 빅데이터를 활용할 경우 지역별 업종별 소비 유출입 특성에 관한 신속·정확한 파악이 가능하다. 특히 신용카드는 지역별·업종별 편제가 가능하므로 전체적인 지역별 소비상황뿐 아니라 순역외소비 규모, 업종 별 특정지역(서울)에 대한 의존도 등을 종합적으로 살펴볼 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 그러나 지금까지 지역별 소비 유출입에 대한 체계적인 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 본고에서는 소비 대리변수로서의 신용카드 빅데이터를 활용하여 지역별·업종별 역외소비율, 소비유입률 등의 지수를 시산하여 추적조사하고 수도권을 제외한 지방을 중심으로 역외소비가 지역경제에 미치는 생산 및 고용에의 효과에 대해 지역산업연관표를 활용하여 분석해 보았다. 분석결과 역외소비가 과도하게 늘어날 경우 GRDP 감소, 고용 부진 등의 부작용이 우려된다. 지방(수도권 제외)의 경우 역외소비율이 상승하면서 2014년 GRDP증가율(명목)을 0.16%p 내외 하락시키고 실업률은 0.19%p 상승시킨 것으로 추정되었다. 이에 지자체 등 경제정책 기관들은 관광 인프라 등 지역 서비스 산업의 경쟁력을 제고하고 온라인 쇼핑업체를 육성함과 아울러 인근 지자체와의 협력을 강화하는 등 정책적 노력이 긴요할 것으로 판단된다. 이처럼 신용카드 빅데이터가 국내 및 지역 소비 유출입을 파악하는 데 유용한 정보를 주는 만큼 향후 지속적인 추적 조사를 통해 지자체의 해당 업종에 대한 인프라 개선, 성장산업 선정 및 개발 등에 활용할 필요가 있다. 다만 향후 신용카드 통계를 활용한 합성지수 개발, 기초 시·군·구 단위 지역간 소비유출입 패턴 분석 등 추가적인 연구가 필요할 것으로 보인다. This paper tries to analyze the regional consumption characteristics from the statistics of credit card usage. We investigated how much regional consumptions are depending on a special region, Seoul Metropolitan city, in terms of private consumption and an empirical analysis of GRDP or employment inducement effect from regional Input-Output table. The policy implication from the results of the analyses is that excessive consumpiton dependency of other city can cause a decrease in GRDP or increase in the unemployment rate and so on. So it is recommended that the credit card information can be utilized so as to establish regional economic policies when bilateral data of sales and purchases in a region are available.

The personal freedom in Rousseau’s thought consists of natural freedom and moral freedom. Natural freedom means not the liberty of the primitive but of the person in society who lives without contact of the others. It requires the constraint of one’s passions and indifference to the others’ regards or opinions. Moral freedom means the obedience to one’s own moral standards. It requires also the constraint of one’s passions and the subjection to the commands of the conscience. Rousseau’s theory of freedom differs from the modern liberalism in that natural freedom includes the liberation from the inner obstacles such as the vanity(amour-prepre) which the liberalists often ignore and in that his moral freedom include moral duties such as conscience which they exclude from their theory of liberty.

두 개의 이중 모드 공진기를 이용한 소형 이중 대역 통과 필터

본 논문에서는 두 개의 이중 모드 공진기를 이용하여 이중 대역 통과 필터를 구현하였다. 단락 스터브를 이용한 이중 모드 공진기는 inter-digital 커패시터와 계단형 임피던스를 이용하여 소형화 되었다. 두 개의 이중 모드 공진기는 각 통과 대역의 중심 주파수에서 동작하도록 설계되었다. 전송 영점이 통과 대역의 상측이나 하측에 위치하여 차단 특성을 향상시킬 수 있다. 이중 대역 동작을 위해 이중 급전 구조를 이용하였다. 제안된 구조는 WLAN 대역인 2.45/5.25 ㎓에서 동작하도록 설계?제작되었다. 제안된 이중 대역 통과 필터의 크기는 10.83 ㎜×5.3 ㎜이다. In this paper, the design and the fabrication of dual-band bandpass filter using two dual-mode resonators is presented. Dual-mode resonator using a short stub is miniaturized by inter-digital capacitor and stepped impedance. Two dual mode resonators are designed to have different resonant frequencies, one for the lower passband and the other for the upper passband. Transmission zero is positioned at low or high rejection bands with a sharp skirt characteristic. Dual-band operation can be achieved using dual feeding structure. For WLAN, the proposed filter at 2.45/5.25 ㎓ is designed and fabricated. The size of the filter is as compact as 10.83 ㎜×5.3 ㎜.

내러티브 표현특성을 적용한 디자인 호텔에 관한 연구

Recent trend shows that the modern society puts emphasis on the quality of life while experiencing changes in value with the economic and cultural prosperity. Our world has become globalized with the development of transportation and telecommunication and elevated the living standard of men. Furthermore, tendency toward consumption became a lot more diversified with the broader and easier access to experience. People are now emerging themselves in the field of design and service while emphasizing the emotional aspect at the same time. Such trend is boosting the growth of tourism culture including travelling and leisurely activities. This caused the establishment of new boom in hotel construction which is a key facility in tourism industry. In the midst of globalization, hotels are now regarded as a standard that determines the level of a country. With the constant increase in the number of foreigners visiting Korea, hotels are acting an important role in the tourism industry. However, hotels are not displaying unique spatial identity from the lack of personalized or customized space structure. Moreover, the changes in the living standard and the values are increasing the demands on the provision of special and meaningful space to the clients. Thus, the study is willing to create a space that embraces a whole new experience and joy, differentiated design and diversified values at the same time. Therefore, the study is planning to examine the interactive spatial characteristics of design hotels and narrative designs by applying the narrative expression characteristics to the designs at hotel space based on the concept of design hotel. After that, the study will design a whole new space dedicated for experience and value.
