양전자방출전산화단층촬영 검사에서 유방 질환 환자를 검사하기 위해 유리섬유강화플라스틱을 이용한 유방 틀의 제작 및 유용성

유방검사에서 영상의 진단 가치를 높일 수 있는 유방틀을 제작하여 유용성을 평가하고자 한다. 유리섬유강화플라스틱을 이용해서 유방틀을 제작하였다. 그리고 방사능계수율과 획득된 영상을 비교하였다. 유방틀의 평가에서 왼쪽과 오른쪽이 1 μCi 당 counts가 각각 185 counts, 189 counts이다. 그리고 복와위 자세에서 획득된 영상은 원형에 가깝게 나타났다. 유방틀을 이용함으로써 진단 가치를 높일 수 있어 유방촬영 검사를 하는데 있어 유용할 것으로 사료된다. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the breast tool to improve the diagnostic value of the image in the breast examination. Breast tool was made of using FRP. And then it was compared by radioactivity counting rate and image. In the evaluation of the Breast tool, the left and right counts per 1 μCi are 185 counts and 189 counts, respectively. The image obtained in the prone position was close to the circle. To increase diagnostic value of image, it is considered to use Breast-tool in the breast examination.

Depending on the location of the lung tumor, the choice of treatment technique should be considered when treating the Cyberknife. The 4DCT images of 18 lung cancer patients were analyzed, and location error values were extracted through application program. The evaluation result was lower than the average position error only in the upper and the inner. These results suggest that the Vertebral tracking technique is effective when it is close to the pulmonary attachment or near the vertebral body, and the Synchrony technique is effective at other positions. In the future, we would like to study cyber knife treatment technique according to the position of the tumor as well as the volume of the lung and the respiratory cycle.

Purpose: Laparoscopic surgery for gastric cancer was introduced in the past decade because it was considered less invasive than open surgery, and this results in less postoperative pain, faster recovery and an improved quality of life. Several studies have demonstrated the safety and feasibility of this procedure. We examined the outcome of performing laparoscopic surgery for gastric cancer over the last two year. Materials and Methods: From April 2004 to December 2006, 329 patients with gastric adenocarcinoma underwent a laparoscopy-assisted distal gastrectomy with lymph node dissection. The data was retrospectively reviewed in terms of the clinicopathologic findings, the perioperative outcomes and the complications. Results: The total patient group was comprised 196 men (59.6%) and 133 women (40.4%). The mean BMI was 23.6 and the mean tumor size was 2.7 cm. The mean number of harvested lymph node was 22.7, and this was 18.6 before 30 cases and 23.1 after 30 cases, and the difference was significant (P=0.02). The mean operation time was 180.9 min, and this was than 287.9 min before 30 cases and 170.2 min after 30 cases. After 30 cases, there was a significant improvement of the operation time (P<0.01). The mean incision length after 30 cases was shorter than that before 30 cases (P<0.01). Postoperative complications occurred in 24 (7.3%) of 329 patients and there was no conversion to open surgery. Conclusion: Even though the LADG was accompanied by a difficult learning curve, we successfully performed 329 LADG procedures over the past 2 years and we believe that LADG is a safe, feasible operation for treating most early gastric cancers (EGC).

Kimura's disease is uncommon and chronic inflammatory disease of unknown etiology. It manifests as solitary or multiple subcutaneous nodule, primarily located on the cervical area with local adenopathies and salivary gland hypertrophy. Its clinical course is benign nature. Histologic findings are hyperplastic lymphoid tissue, inflammatory infiltrates rich in eosinophils and proliferations of capillary venules. Treatment options are steroid therapy, radiation therapy and surgical excision. We report two cases of Kimura's disease on medial aspect of upper arm.

Purpose: We evaluated the results of surgical treatment for metastatic pathologic or impending pathologic fractures. Materials and Methods: From January 2004 to December 2007, 18 patients 19 cases were included. Male were 6 and female were 12. The mean age was 65.1. Mean follow up period was 15.2 months. Pathologic fractures were 14 and impending pathologic fractures were 5. MSTS score, periodic radiologic follow up and postoperative complications were evaluated. Results: The primary malignancies were 6 cases of multiple myeloma, 4 cases of renal cell carcinoma, 2 cases of cholangiocarcinoma, 2 cases of colon cancer, 2 cases of breast cancer and 2 cases of leiomyosarcoma. Metastatic lesions were 10 cases of femur, 4 cases of clavicle, 2 cases of humerus, 2 cases of tibia and 1 case of radius. Surgical options were curettage, cementation, internal fixation and arthroplasty. Mean MSTS score was 15.9. Postoperative complications were 1 case of infection, 1 case of local recurrence and 1 case of implant loosening. Ten patients were alive with disease, 8 patients died of disease. Conclusion: Surgical treatment of metastatic skeletal lesions allowed early ambulation and improving dexterity. It improved pain and emotional acceptance. Surgery is necessary for improving qualities of remaining lives.
지오폴리머 시멘트를 이용한 콘크리트 표면의 패각 분말 코팅

Geopolymer materials are attractive as inorganic binders due to their superior mechanical and eco-friendly properties. In the current study, geopolymer-based cement was prepared using aluminosilicate minerals from fly-ash with KOH as an alkaline-activator and $Na_2SiO_3$ as liquid glass. Then, calcium carbonate powder from a clam shell was mixed with the geopolymer and the mixture was coated on a concrete surface to provide points of attachment for environmental organisms to grow on the geopolymers. We investigated the effect of the shell powder grain size on the microstructure and bonding property of the geopolymers. A homogeneous geopolymer layer coated well on the concrete surface via aluminosilicate bonding, but the adhesiveness of the shell powder on the geopolymer cement was dependent on the grain size of the shell powder. Superior adhesive characteristics were shown in the shell powder of large grain size due to the deep penetration into the geopolymer by their large weight. This kind of coating can be applied to the adhesiveness of eco-materials on the surface of seaside or riverside blocks.
