        Re´sume´ The United Nations forces are classfied into two forms; one is the combat and coercive, the other is non-combat and non-coercive. The former is the one which has been prescribed in the Charter of the United Nations. On the other hand, the latter is newly emerged pragmatic device the practice of which no one could envisage in 1945 when the Charter was written with the expectation that the great powers would themselves furnish forces to the Security Council according to the collective security system. An important event in recent years was that the nature of the United Nations forces had been shifted to the non-combat, non-coercive one, that is, non-great powers were not only the best available under the critical circumstances but also a potentially indispensable addition to the arts of peace-keeping. This contemporary invention of a new form of military presence the non-fighting U. N. forces contributed by the smaller powers-poses a hast of questions such as the potential factors for the creation of U. N. forces, the foreign policy and strategy of the member states of the United Nations. In this thesis, therefore, (1) how this U. N. venture in peace-keeping come about? (2) what peatures does this have when compared with the original form in the Charter? (3) what progress could be achieved and what difficulties resuol-ved? and (4) what possibility and lessons does this contain for the future U. N. peace-k eeping operations? these are the major questions which are examined through the analytical and inductive approach. As a conclusion, it will be pointed that the potential factors in the U.N. forces will be shifting because of the variable power relations and attitudes of states, and that the function of the forces will be restricted in efficiency thereby Neverthless, the validity and efficiency of the forces as a useful means for the peaceful settlement of international disputes will not be reduced.

        Analyzing The Effect Of Firm Specific On-The-Job Training On Labor Income Using Hierarchical Linear Models(HLM) - Centered On The Manufacturing Industries -

        The study aims to make a comparison between an analysis of a wage worker who underwent firm specific on-the-job training and one who underwent general on-the-job training, which are types of firm on-the-job training in the form of human resource development. The object of this study is 301 manufacturing industries and 9,390 wage workers who are some of the samples from the Human Capital Corporate Panel(HCCP) in 2005, providing the proper information necessary for this study to be carried out. The hierarchical linear model (HLM) was applied to analyze the structure of the multilevel data. The results of this study show that the wage of a wage worker who underwent firm specific on-the-job training is slightly higher than the wage of the one who underwent general on-the-job training. Based on the results of this study, a proposal for a following study is discussed, as is the theoretical conclusion and the validity of the actual firm on-the-job training.

        일본학 : 일본 방위산업 경쟁력 분석 -포터의 다이아몬드 모델 적용-

        The purpose of this study is to explain what constitutes sources of competitiveness of Japan`s defense industry. This study adopts Porter`s Diamond Model as a theoretical framework to evaluate competitiveness of the defense industry in a more comprehensive and strategic way. Japan`s defense industry has operated in a noncompetitive market environment, with a few companies dealing with the Japanese government as the sole buyer. Coupled with this distinctive defense acquisition process, Japan`s arms export ban policy has brought the industry to a standstill. Those companies in the market, blessed with the small but stable demand at home, continue to receive defense contract awards from the Ministry of Defense. In such an environment, Japanese defense companies with vested rights do not have to compete with one another or with foreign suppliers in the overseas market. In addition, the Japanese defense market does not attract newcomers because of the country`s static defense industrial structure and the legal restraints on arms exports. Japanese defense industry has the technological edge on sea-based subsystems, albeit more for defensive and searching systems than offensive systems. This analysis suggests that the revise of three principles of arms exports is likely to change the characteristics of Japanese defense industry significantly but not sufficiently to constitute a fundamental transformation of that industry.

        일본 자동차 유통계열 구조에 변화의 조짐이 일어나고 있다. 가전 부문의 유통계열이 신유통업태의 정장이라는 외부적 요인에 의해 변화되었다면, 자동차 유통계열은 내적ㆍ외적 요인의 상호작용에 의해 그 문제점이 노정되고 있다. 내적인 요인으로는 메이커의 경직적인 도매가격 운용을 들 수 있는데, 이는 딜러 경영을 압박할 뿐만 아니라 메이커-딜러간 갈등을 야기하는 주된 요인이 되고있다. 한편 급속한 정보화는 딜러의 할인판매 경쟁만 가속시킬 뿐 유통계열의 개선에는 유용성이 없는 것으로 분석된다. 장기적으로는 자동차 유통계열의 내부적 모순이 점차 가시화되고 정보화가 확산됨으로써 정차 변화할 것으로 예상된다. 한국 국자동차기업은 이러한 유통계열의 약점을 전략적으로 이용하면서 차별화된 제품으로 승부하는 전략을 구사하는 것이 바람직할 것이다.

        한일 자동차산업의 물류시스템 비교- 도요타와 현대자동차의 완성차 물류를 중심으로 -

        In the automobile industry, the drastic reduction of the logistics cost is becoming essential to cope with the customer satisfaction and infinite competition. The purpose of this paper is to examine the outbound logistics in automobile industry. Many of logistics-related research in automobile industry has focused on inbound logistics and procurement. Research into outbound logistics is relatively few. In the case of Toyota, outbound logistics from the vehicle assembly plant to the dealership directly contributes to the responsiveness of the overall vehicle supply system by representing the lead-time from factory to customers. Since 1980's, Toyota has reformed logistics system in terms of build-to-order, considering how to adapt production schedules to the demand changes in the marketplace. In examining the efficiency of outbound logistics system, different production and distribution structure should be considered. Meanwhile, with regards to the build-to-order transition, the case of Toyota suggest an alternative of future outbound logistics system for Korean automobile company, where there exist strong integration of among production and distribution.

        Ageing induces huge dramatic change of society and economy rather than simple change of population structure. Ageing causes the decrease of working age population and production capable population, thus this brings growth slowness and long-term stagnation. In addition, progress in ageing decreases saving rate, consequently low saving rate brings about the decrease of country-wide investment resources. This ageing problem which is progressive rapidly needs core competence and implementation of human resource professionals to overcome this kind of environment change. First of all, it needs turnover in thinking way toward talents. Secondly, we need innovation one team to pursue innovation and creativity. Thirdly, it should be considered in a new way with the number of workers and efficiency of personnel expenses. Fourthly, employees should make effort for self-advancement. Under the environment with newly change human resource personnels' function and role should be emphasized to maintain sustainable growth and overcome the change of management environment. Therefore, human resources should be emphasized to become competitive personnel and organization with leading the change master and creating the value of the organization.
