The concept of E-GAS monitoring is mainly applied to ensure the functional stability of the electronic controller relative to the torque of the vehicle. In general, at level 2 of the E-GAS monitoring concept, allowable torque calculations require formula-based modeling that simplifies the behavior of real vehicles and complex calibration to complement them. In addition, this does not sufficiently reflect various driving situations of the vehicle. Therefore, in this study, an algorithm for calculating allowable torque using machine learning at level 2 of the E-GAS monitoring concept was presented and verified with actual vehicle driving data to confirm its utility.
