        Today s portable digital products are characterized by their wide range of applications and smaller sizes, which have increased their integration and portability further. Thus the shapes of such products or design have become one of the critical keywords in the knowledge industry in today s digital age. There are several elements required for portable digital products: first, there should be the needs of the users; second, they should be highly portable; third, they should have spontaneity; fourth, their appearance should be beautiful; fifth, they must have great durability; sixth, they should allow for continuous operations; and finally they should have fun features. The next generation portable digital products must have the perfect convergence with all the functions integrated as one based on the relational aspects with the users such as design and interface. That is, a focus should be placed on human-oriented design to put people first before anything else.

        증례 : Simvastatin 복용 중인 환자에서 Clopidogrel 병합요법 후 발생한 횡문근 융해증 1예

        Simvastatin은 HMG-CoA reductase 억제제로 혈중 지질을 개선해서 관상동맥 질환의 예방에 효과적이지만, 횡문근 융해증이란 중요한 합병증이 일어날 수 있다. 저자들은 simvastatin과 clopidogrel 병합 요법 후 횡문근 융해증이 발생하였고, 약물 중단 후 호전된 1예를 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하며, simvastatin과 clopidogrel 병합 요법시 횡문근 융해증 발생에 대한 주의를 권유한다. Simvastatin, the 3-hydroxy-3methylglutaryl coenzyme (HMG-CoA) reductase inhibitor is effective in reduction the risk of coronary event and are generally well tolerated. Rhabdomyolysis is uncommon complication of this drug. We describe a case of rhabdomyolysis associated with concomitant use of simvastatin and clopidogrel. Rhabdomyolysis occurred 30 days after clopidogrel added to a chronic stable dose of simvastatin, and resolved after discontinuation of simvastatin and clopidogrel. We recommend careful monitoring when clopidogrel is given to patients receiving simvastatin. (Korean J Med 69:S906-S909, 2005)

        Proximity-Scan ALD (PS-ALD) 에 의한 Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>와 HfO<sub>2</sub> 박막증착 기술 및 박막의 전기적 특성

        A new cost-effective atomic layer deposition (ALD) technique, known as Proximity-Scan ALD (PS-ALD) was developed and its benefits were demonstrated by depositing $Al_2O_3$ and $HfO_2$ thin films using TMA and TEMAHf, respectively, as precursors. The system is consisted of two separate injectors for precursors and reactants that are placed near a heated substrate at a proximity of less than 1 cm. The bell-shaped injector chamber separated but close to the substrate forms a local chamber, maintaining higher pressure compared to the rest of chamber. Therefore, a system configuration with a rotating substrate gives the typical sequential deposition process of ALD under a continuous source flow without the need for gas switching. As the pressure required for the deposition is achieved in a small local volume, the need for an expensive metal organic (MO) source is reduced by a factor of approximately 100 concerning the volume ratio of local to total chambers. Under an optimized deposition condition, the deposition rates of $Al_2O_3$ and $HfO_2$ were $1.3\;{\AA}/cycle$ and $0.75\;{\AA}/cycle$, respectively, with dielectric constants of 9.4 and 23. A relatively short cycle time ($5{\sim}10\;sec$) due to the lack of the time-consuming "purging and pumping" process and the capability of multi-wafer processing of the proposed technology offer a very high through-put in addition to a lower cost.

        The root of Heracleum moellendorffii was extracted with methanol and extract was fractionated with n-hexane, CHCl3 and n-BuOH. Repaeated column chromatography of silica gel, sephadex LH 20 and ODS led to the isolation of ten compounds from n-hexane fraction and n-BuOH fraction. On the basis of spectroscopic evidences, the structures of isolated compounds were identified as isobergapten, psoralen, angelicin, sphondin, xanthotoxin, skimmin, cichorim, heratomol-6-0-beta-D- glucopyranoside, scopolin and apterin.

        무기체계 연구개발 요구사항 검증에 관한 연구

        The requirement verification is the integral part of the weapon system R&D to reduce cost and schedule. And, a systems engineering is an interdisciplinary engineering management process that evolves and verifies an integrated, life-cycle balanced set of system solutions that satisfy customer needs. Therefore, this study analyzes the national defense need and acquisition management process, investigates the systems engineering verification activity. Through the requirement verification example in terms of technical evaluation this study presented the requirement verification approach in the weapon system R&D.

        북한 탄도미사일의 기술 분석 및 평가

        본 논문은 기술 분석 및 평가를 통해 세계 안보와 평화에 위협이 되고 있는 북한 탄도미사일 능력을 밝히고자 한다. 이를 위해 북한 미사일의 개발과정을 고찰하고 체계관점에서 핵심기술을 분석 평가했다. 그리고 탄도미사일 비행궤적 특성 모델의 시뮬레이션 결과를 기반으로 위협을 제시하였다. 북한은 최대 3.000~4,000km(노동-B)까지 다양한 사거리의 탄도미사일을 전력화하여 운용 중이다. 대부분의 관련기술은 이미 성숙되었으며, 국제사회의 제재에도 불구하고 장거리미사일 능력은 지난 20년 동안 실험과 경험을 통해 향상되었다. 특히, 지난 2012년 12월의 대포동-3호 로켓발사를 통해 장거리 로켓의 핵심 기술인 추진체, 클러스터링, 단분리, 유도 기술 등 대부분 분야에서 상당한 수준을 보였다. 아직 미흡한 분야인 핵탄두 소형화와 재진입체를 포함하는 일부 기술적 문제와 신뢰성만 해결한다면, 10,000km급의 ICBM 개발이 바로 앞까지 왔다고 판단된다 This paper is to reveal the missile capabilities through technical analysis and assessment of North Korean ballistic missiles threaten world peace and security. To do this, it is considered a process of developing the missile. The analysis and assessment of the core technology are conducted in the system viewpoint. Also the threats based on simulation results using characteristics model of the ballistic missile`s flight trajectories are presented. North Korea has operated various missiles of range up to 3,000~4,000km. Most of the related technology has already matured. Despite sanctions by the international community, the capability of their long-range missiles has enhanced through the experimentation and experience over past 20 years. In particular, the core technologies such as propulsion system, clustering, stage separation, guidance have showed a significant level through taepodong-3 long-range rocket launch on last December 2012. If some technical problems including reliability, nuclear warhead miniaturization and reentry vehicle are solved, we assess that development of 10,000km range ICBM comes up straight.

        국방획득사업에서 ACTD 접근방법 적용

        ACTDs exploit mature technologies to solve important military problems. A reducing budget, significant changes in threats, and an accelerated pace of technology development have challenged our ability to adequately respond to rapidly evolving military needs. This work describes ACTD management and its program applications. It is presented a prospective and applications of domestic defense acquisition programs.

        특집-결핵 : 비결핵 항산균 폐질환의 진단과 치료

        The incidence of chronic pulmonary disease caused by nontuberculus mycobacteria (NTM) in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-negative patients has been increasing worldwide. In Korea, the common etiologic pathogens for this disease are Mycobacterium avium complex and Mycobacterium abscessus. Most NTM pulmonary diseases present one of two forms such as fibrocavitary or nodular bronchiectatic disease according to their radiographic features. However they also present hypersensitivity like diseases and solitary pulmonary nodules. NTM pulmonary disease has specific diagnostic criteria including repeated isolations of organisms because they are ubiquitous environmental organisms and NTM isolation can be a result of specimen contamination. However diagnosing NTM pulmonary disease does not mean the need for immediate treatment. Also since it needs multiple antibiotics for a long time, treatment is expensive and has significant side effects. Therefore treating NTM lung diseases can be extremely difficult and factors such as patient`s age, comorbid conditions, and progression rates of symptoms and disease should be considered in the decision of treatment.         Public Employees` Perceived Effectiveness of Performance Management System in Korean Government

        본 연구는 11개 정부기관의 공무원 828명을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 토대로 성과관리시스템에 대한 효과성 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하였다. 자료의 분석결과, 성과관리시스템에 대한 신뢰가 공무원의 성과관리에 대한 효과성에 가장 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 파악되었다. 또한, 인적자원관리와의 통합, 정보시스템의 수준, 조직 및 관리자의 지원, 비계층적인 조직문화가 성과관리 효과성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 파악되었다. 반면에, 성과관리제도유형의 다양성은 성과관리제도의 효과성에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 파악되었다. Based on a field survey of 828 Korean central government employees in eleven agencies, this study explores the factors that influence public employees` perceived benefits of performance management system (PMS). Trust of performance management systems is revealed as the most consistent positive influence on public employees` perceived effectiveness of PMS. Human resource management (HRM) integration, information systems, support of leaders and the organization, and non-hierarchical culture are consistently positive influences on the perceived effectiveness of PMS. The empirical analysis also reveals that different types of PMS do not influence the perceived effectiveness of PMS.
