본 연구에서는 식품 안전성을 검사하기 위해 식품 내 미생물 농도를 계산하는 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 생물학적 방법을 보완하여 영상 분석에 기반한 자동화 방법으로 빠르고 보다 정확한 방법을 제안한다. 현미경으로 확대한 시료의 영상을 자동으로 분석하여 영상 내의 미생물의 수를 측정하면 여러 영상에 대한 결과를 통계적으로 분석하여 식품 내 미생물 농도를 보다 정확히 측정할 수 있다. 영상 처리 과정을 통해 영상으로부터 미생물군을 찾아내고, 해당 미생물군을 모양에 따라 세 가지 종류-간균, 구균, 효모로 분류하고 계수한다. 제안하는 시스템의 성능을 실험으로 보였다. 영상 내에서 측정된 미생물의 수와 실제 미생물의 수의 비를 검토해 본 바, 본 시스템이 실용적임을 보였다.
방화구획을 관통하는 덕트 풍도주위의 스프링클러설비 설치기준에 관한 연구

최근 K공단 전자부품 제조공장의 화재 발생과 관련하여 화재유형의 다양화 및 피해규모 증가로 인해 화재확산방지와 인명안전보호에 대한 소방법령 및 소방관계법령의 기준검토 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이와 관련하여 건축법법령에서는 전자부품 제조공장에 국한하여 방화구획 벽체를 관통하는 배기덕트는 내부에 스프링클러헤드를 적용함으로써 방화댐퍼(FD) 설치를 완화해주고 있다. 하지만 해당조항은 대체 적용가능 여부만 제시하고 설치기준에 대해서는 전무하여 소방법과 건축법간의 상충된해석이 발생하고 이로인해 업무에 큰 혼선을 빚고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 특수한 공정을 갖고있는 전자부품 제조공장의건축법령으로 소방시설의 문제점을 3가지로 검토·분석하였다. 또한, 화염확산 방지에 적합한 건축법으로 소방시설의 성능기준과 점검·유지관리기준을 제시하였다. The need for a standard review of fire prevention and related statutes and human safety protection against fire spread has emerged owing to the recent diversification of fire types and the increase in the scale of damage in the K-industrial complex s electronic parts manufacturing plant. The building law mitigates the installation of fire dampers (FDs) by fixing sprinkler heads to the inside of the exhaust duct that penetrates the fire compartment wall in the electronic components manufacturing plant. However, the clause presents only alternative applicability and does not present any installation criteria. This results in conflicting interpretations between the Fire Protection Act and the Building Act, causing major confusion in the work. Therefore, in this study, three problems of building legal fire-fighting facilities in electronic parts manufacturing plants with special process characteristics were reviewed and analyzed. In addition, performance standards and standards for inspection and maintenance of building-legal firefighting facilities suitable for preventing the spread of flames were presented.

Drawing on recent empathy studies, this essay aims to rethink the vexed relation between empathy and literature, so as to find a more solid basis of ethical potential for literature than the humanist defence of literary imagination as a key enhancer of empathy. Amy Coplan and Peter Goldie’s stricter definition of empathy is noteworthy in this regard, as they distinguish a set of similar emotional states such as emotional contagion, identification, perspective-taking, and sympathy from empathy proper. Referencing their view, I examine Doris Lessing’s The Golden Notebook and highlight the double workings of empathic connection and dissociation. The novel explores negative effects of feminine hyper-empathy along with ideological implications of narrative empathy. Further, its meta-fictional aspects demonstrate the literariness of empathy; as an emotive-cognitive process, it takes place when the subject aptly characterizes the object and takes his or her perspective, while keeping intact the self-other boundary, thereby performing an act of genuine understanding. I relate this dimension to Judith Jordan’s notion of retrospective self-empathy. Anna’s fictional doubles function as the experiencing self, the authorial Anna playing the role of the observing self. This leads to a higher plane of self-empathy and empathic understanding of the other.
전자부품 제조공장의 살수장애 스프링클러헤드 적용에 관한 연구

최근 전자부품 제조공장의 내부는 과거와는 다르게 규모가 대형화되고 복잡한 배기 덕트와 다발 배관의 혼합배열로 인해 천정 스프링클러헤드의 살수패턴에 영향을 주는 현상이 두드러지게 나타나고 있다. 따라서 추가 의무적으로 장애물 하부살수장애 구간에 스프링클러헤드가 설치되지만, 상세 설치기준의 부재와 재실자동선 및 장비반입동선의 간섭으로 인해 헤드파손 우려와 함께 추가설치에 따른 공사비 증가 등 인명안전과 경제적 이윤을 우선하는 건설현장에 큰 혼란을 야기하는 등 효율적인 설치방안이 필요한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 전자부품 제조공장의 시공변화에 따라 적절하게 대응하지 못하는 스프링클러설비 운영 실태를 평가하고, 문제점을 도출하여 문제점 극복에 필요한 효율적인 설치방안을 제시하는데 있다. 이에 따라 향후 살수장애 스프링클러 헤드 설치 시 유지관리 및 소화성능을 함께 고려한 설치계획이 검토되어야 하며, 관련 체크리스트와 함께 제도적으로 이를 뒷받침하기 위한 노력이 지속되어야 할 것이다. Semiconductor factories are significantly affected by the spray pattern of ceiling sprinkler heads owing to the large scale and complex mix of organic/exhaust ducts and multiple pipes. Therefore, sprinkler heads are installed in the spray disorder section of the lower barrier. However, more efficient installation measures are needed to mitigate the absence of detailed installation standards and interference with human and equipment transport lines. Currently, installation causes major confusion at construction sites and increases construction costs. The purpose of this research is to overcome these challenges by evaluating the operation status of sprinkler facilities in semiconductor factories, identify problems, and suggest more efficient installation measures. An installation plan that considers maintenance and fire extinguishing performance together is reviewed, and supported systematically with a relevant checklist.
전자부품 제조공장 방화구획내 방화댐퍼를 제외한 건축법의 소방학적 연구

Flammable exhaust ducts (such as natural exhausts and organic exhausts) of semiconductor factories are excluded from installing fire dampers by installing sprinklers around the wind tunnel to prevent fire spread in the penetration. This is based on the mitigation provisions set forth in paragraph 2 of article 14 of the regulation on the criteria for evacuation, fire protection, and other activities. However, though sprinkler facilities are applied as specified in the Building Act, not as the legal standard, they are classified as self-contained facilities and are excluded from the liability limit. Therefore, the installation and construction standards are ambiguous, and institutional supplementation is urgently needed as large and diverse ducts are required at semiconductor factories. To this end, the problems are identified, and improvements are proposed in the application of set-up fire and sprinkler facilities as defined in the Building Act, and variable insurance rate. 전자부품 제조공장의 가연성 재질 배기덕트(자연배기, 기계배기 등)가 방화구획 관통시, 관통부분의 화재확산 방지용으로 풍도 주위에 스프링클러를 설치하여 방화댐퍼 설치를 제외 받고 있다. 이는 건축물의 피난·방화구조등의 기준에 관한 규칙 제14조제2항에 명기된 완화조항을 기반으로 규정되어 있다. 하지만, 소방법령 기준이 아닌 건축법에 명시되어 스프링클러설비를 적용하고 있으나 소방시설 완공검사(소방사용승인)시 법적감리업무에서 벗어나 자진설비로 분류되고 책임한계성에서도 배제되고 있다. 따라서 대형화되고 다양한 규모의 덕트가 전자부품 제조공장에 요구되어짐에 따른 설치 및 시공기준이 모호하고 제도적 보완이 절실히 필요하다. 이에 건축법에서 규정되고 반도체 사업장에 Set-up된 소방시설인 스프링클러설비에 대한 상호 법적으로 상충하는 사항과 책임한계성 그리고 가변적인 보험요율 적용에 대해 문제점과 개선사항을 제안하고자 한다.
역병의 시대에 읽는 E. M. 포스터의 「기계가 멈추다」

While E. M. Forster’s “The Machine Stops” has long been read as an expression of liberal humanist technophobia, it has gained extraordinary topical significance in the aftermath of the global pandemic. Connected to a worldwide telecommunication network, people in Forster’s story shun physical contact and shy away from intimacy in general. They rarely leave their rooms, spending most of their time communicating with others online. The Machine that provides housing, food, clothing, and entertainment to humans has become their master and substituted God. Illustrating human life completely subordinated to machines, “The Machine Stops” explores what implications the loss of corporeality may have for humanity, nature, and the machine. Such disembodiment further resonates with the production and dissemination of knowledge as mere “ideas.” People function as information nodes within a “mega-algorithm,” and scholarly work becomes meaningless circulation of ideas; consequently, truth no longer holds value. “The Machine Stops” thereby urges readers to question the major premises of technological utopianism.

In light of recent developments of trauma studies, this essay delves into some significant connections between trauma narrative and metafictional experiment in Doris Lessing`s The Golden Notebook. My focus will be on conjoined literary and sexual dimensions of the novel`s trauma narrative. Anna`s mental state of paralysis explicitly bears on her failed sexual relations and the demise of communism as a viable political belief system, along with the imminent threat of nuclear war. More subtly, it demonstrates the tendency, as Dominick LaCapra has noted, to conflate the absence and the loss of an object or state, as well as the structural and the historical trauma. This essay suggests how the novel taps on trauma`s unique role in linking private realms of emotional life, sexuality, personal relations with realities of contemporary history. Trauma in that way creates a differential mode of knowing by achieving a certain totality from the connections between past and present, on one side, and integrating apparently disparate realms of identity and existence, on the other. Lessing posits the acting-out of trauma throughout the four notebooks, embodying the process of working-through in the inner golden notebook. Further, metafictional experiments in the novel allow her to explore the trans-individual, trans-subjective experience of trauma in her contemporary world that verges on what Raymond Williams terms as the structure of feeling.
Effect of Enzyme Replacement Therapy on Growth in Korean Patients with Mucopolysaccharidosis Type I

Purpose: Mucopolysaccharidosis type I (MPS I) is a lysosomal storage disorder caused by deficiency of the enzyme ${\alpha}$-L-iduronidase, which leads to a broad spectrum of multisystemic manifestations. Short stature and decreased growth velocity are prominent features of MPS I. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) on growth of Korean MPS I patients from a single center. Methods: Height data were obtained by retrospective chart review of 10 Korean patients with MPS I who had received ERT for a minimum of 3 years. Height was expressed as standard deviation scores (SDS) based on normative data. Annual growth rates were calculated before and during ERT. A piecewise regression model was used to analyze height z-scores before and after treatment. Individual analysis was performed for impact of phenotype [(severe (Hurler) versus attenuated (Hurler-Scheie, Scheie)] on growth. Results: Annual growth was 3.3 cm (z-score= -0.21) in the year before ERT and 6.2 cm (z-score= 0.17), 5.8 cm (z-score= 0.07), and 3.8 cm (z-score= -0.4) in the first, second, and third years of ERT, respectively. Regression analysis showed improvement in the slope after ERT (difference= 0.04; P=0.022). Estimated slope differences between severe and attenuated phenotypes were statistically significant before (P=0.001) and after treatment (P<0.0001), although no significant difference was noted when stratified by phenotype. Conclusion: ERT with aldurazyme appears to have a positive impact on linear growth in patients with MPS I.

휴대 전화와 PDA의 급속한 보급과 더불어, 휴대용 장치에서의 간단한 텍스트 입력 방식 연구의 중요성도 나날이 증대되고 있다. 현재 다양한 방식의 입력 방법들이 존재하나, 한글의 특성을 반영하지 않아 한글 입력에 적용하기 어려운 단점들이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 2차원 평면상의 연속적인 제스처와 언어 모델을 이용하고, 한글의 특성을 고려한 새로운 한글 입력 방식을 제안한다.
