        The preparation and electrical or optical characteristics of blue-green emitting powder type electroluminescent device(P-ELD) are described. In V-I and Y-L characteristics, current and luminance are increased with increasing frequency and voltage. Luminance was shown 840 cd/$\textrm{m}^2$ at operating condition of 20 kHz, 150 V It can be explained by eqivalent circuit of P-ELD.

      • 분산형 전계발광 소자의 발광 특성

        Powder type electroluminescent device(P-ELD) in this study was prepared by printing method. P-ELDs were basically composed of phosphor, insulator and transparent conducting layer. The phosphor powder was prepared by sintering the mixture of ZnS as a host, Cu as an activator, and NaCl as a flux for co-activator and enhancement of growth of the phosphor particles. The phosphor layer was made by printing the paste of the cyanoethylpullan as a binder and the ZnS system phosphor powder. In order to evaluate the luminescence characteristics of ZnS P-ELD, applied voltage - luminance(V-L), frequency-luminance(f-L), and relative luminance spectra(L- .lambda.) characteristics were measured. The experimental results show that luminance increased with increasing the applied voltage and frequency. It can be explained in terms of the potential barrier formed between ZnS and CuS. Two emission peaks in luminance-wavelength spectra measured at applied voltage of 100 $V_{rms}$ were observed at 500nm as a primary peak and 460nm as a secondary peak, respectively.y.

        대한치과기공사협회의 대표자회원과 일반회원의 연도별 현황 및 비율 조사 연구 - 1990년부터 2004년까지 -

        This study is to investigate the increasing membership rate against the previous year among the members registered as representative members and general members of the Korea Dental Technician Association from 1990 to 2004. With this study, we aim to provide more systematic data about the current status of each members in the KDTA and reconsider the needs for the practical and distinguishing management of the members. Results of the study are as follows; 1. The increasing rate from 1990 to 2004: whole members; 2.14, representative members; 2.22, general members; 2.11. Average of increasing rate against the previous year: general members; 6.10%, whole members; 5.94%, representative members; 5.91%. 2. The increasing rate in the city branch from 1990 to 2004: whole members; 2.12, representative members; 2.03, general members; 2.15. Average of increasing rate against the previous year: general members; 6.63%, whole members; 6.05%, representative members; 5.23% 3. The increasing rate in the province branch from 1990 to 2004: whole members; 2.21, representative members; 2.74, general members; 2.01. Average of increasing rate against the previous year: representative members; 7.58%, whole members; 5.99%, whole members; 5.35%. 4. Mean ratio between representative members and general members from 1990 to 2004: 1:2.6 against the whole members, 1:2.8 in the city branch, 1:2.3 in the province branch. The ratio between representative members and general members in the year 2004: 1:3.1 in Kyoungnam province, 1:3.0 in Inchon, 1:2.9 in Kwangju that indicates a high ratio between two members and in the case of Chongbuk, the ratio between two members is rather low as shown in 1:1.1.

      • 훌륭한 휘도 균일도를 갖는 LCD 후면 광원용 평판 형광램프

        본 논문은 가스의 방전 현상으로부터 발생되는 자외선을 이용하는 평판 형광 램프의 주파수 특성에 대하여 연구하였다. 램프는 절연층, 형광층, 가스층으로 구성된다. 램프의 특성에서 불꽃 전압과 휘도 균일 전압은 주파수의 증가에 따라 감소하였다. 이것은 가스 갭내에서의 공간 전하 효과로 설명이 가능하였다. FFL의 휘도는 700Vrms, 80 kHz의 구동 조건에서 2700cd/$m^2$ 을 얻었으며, 최대 휘도 효율은 5 lm/W를 보였다. In this paper, the frequency characteristics of flat fluorescent lamp(FFL) using ultraviolet generated from gas discharge are studied. The lamp is a simple structure with insulator layer, phosphor layer, and gas gap(1.1mm). The firing voltage and uniform voltage was decreased with increasing the frequency. It was considered that this tendency was resulted from the space charge effect due to Xe and Ar positive ions trapped in gas gap. Luminance in FFL using Xe as discharge gas was shown 2700 cd/$m^2$ in operation (700 Vrms, 80 kHz). Hence, the maximum luminous efficiency was 5 lm/W.

        Updates on cancer epidemiology in Korea, 2018

        Cancer is a major cause of morbidity and the most common cause of death in Korea. There are currently approximately 200,000 incident cancer cases and 78,000 individuals die from cancer every year. The factors directly related to cancer incidence, including aging, smoking, obesity, and Westernized dietary habits, have been increasing during the past several decades. Since 1999, trends toward increased incidence have been observed for thyroid, breast (in women), colorectal, and prostate cancer. Currently, these trends have changed direction, and the incidence of stomach and liver cancer in both sexes, and cervical cancer in women have continually declined. Although the number of cancer deaths increased by a factor of 2.7 from 1983 to 2016, the age-standardized mortality associated with cancer has been decreasing by 3% every year. The 5-year relative survival rate (RSR) has also improved over the past several decades, especially for stomach, prostate, and breast cancer, which had 5-year RSRs greater than 90% in the most recent report.

        Heat transfer characteristics in a rotating heat pipe with evaporator of the rotating disc and the condenser of the screwed groove is investigated by numerical method for various dimensionless film thicknesses, Re, C_{p}{\Delta}T/h_{fg}$, rotational speed and working fluids. The temperature difference between evaporator wall and vapor increases a little, but the temperature difference between condenser wall and vapor decreases rapidly as Re increases. As the dimensionless film thickness decreases, the temperature difference of evaporator and condenser decreases. As the rotational speed increases, the temperature difference between evaporator wall and vapor increases but the temperature difference between condenser wall and vapor decreases. The Nusselt number can be shown as a function of dimensionless film thickness and Re, that is $Nu=0.963\cdot(\delta^{-1}(\omega/\vpsilon)^{-1/2}{\cdot}Re^{0.5025})$.

        대면적 LCD 후면 광원용 무수은 평판형광램프

        In this paper, a 15 inch mercury-free flat discharge lamp with insulated electrodes has been studied for large-area TV LCD backlighting. The lamp is flat type with a pairs of phosphor layer laminated into the discharge vessel filled by discharge gas and needle type electrodes layer insulated by insulation materials on the rear glass substrate. An active area is 304×228 mm, and the gap of the discharge space is 3 mm. When the drive pulse voltage conditions were set properly, a uniform discharge generates over entires emitting surface. The maximum luminance of 7,200 [cd/m2] was obtained from the drive conditions of gas pressure 100 [Torr], frequency 30 [kHz], pulse width 2 [㎲]. 본 연구에서는 대면적 LCD TV 후면 광원을 위한 15인치 무수은 평판형광램프에 대하여 연구하였다. 램프는 후면 기판위에 절연된 한쌍의 침상 구조의 전극층과 방전공간내에 한쌍의 형광층을 갖는 평판형이다. 발광면적은 304×228 mm이고, 상부 및 하부 사이의 갭은 3 mm이다. 균일한 발광은 구동 조건이 일치하면 발광면 전체에 걸쳐서 발생한다. 100 Torr의 가스 압력, 30 kHz의 주파수, 펄스폭 2㎲의 조건에서 7,200 cd/m2의 최대 휘도를 얻었다.

        강원도내치과기공소인력수급을위한기초조사연구

        The aim of this study is to propose effective measures for shortage of manpower of dental technologylaboratory in Gangwon province by means of examining not only the history of Gangwon association,present condition of transference of members of Gangwon association from 1990, of missing members andannual rate of participation in repair education with setting object of study into Gangwon association underthe influence of the Korean Dental Technology Association but also the present condition of opening andclosing laboratory, amount of business connection and condition of shortage of manpower and its field withsetting object of study into 28 dental technology laboratories.Results from this study are like followings : First, Gagnwon association was established in 1984 as the eleventh in the line of the board,reorganization of board is conducted 8 times up to the eighth in the line of the board in 2001. board iscomposed of 16 persons including president and operated its term as 3 years.Second, a number of representative and ordinary member of Gangwon association has increasedgradually from 1992 to 2001. in aspect of annual rate of participation in repair education, representative's ismore higher than ordinary member's overall. the worst rate of whole members' is shown as 47.9% and theits best rate is shown as 92.0%. in addition, 70~80% rate of participation into repair education is shownmost frequently as 8 times of whole 20 times from 1992 to 2001. hird, 29 authorized dental technology laboratories have registered in Gangwon association until march2002 within 9 cities and counties. in consideration of establishment location. Gangneung city has mostamount as 7 laboratories(24.1%), Wonju city has 5(17.2%), Samcheok city and Sokcho city, each has4(13.8%), Chuncheon city has 3(10.3%), Donghae city and Taeback city, each has 2(6.9%) and Yangyangand Yongwol county, each has 1(3.4%)Fourth, amount of work personnel of laboratory in Gangwon province is 1~10 persons as the maximumvalue. 23 laboratories(82.1%) have their own work personnel as amount of 5 and below. in aspect of mainbusiness, most of laboratories focus on the Porcelain and Crown. and 16 laboratories(57.1%) have theirown expensive equipments such as Milling. its also suggests that 16 laboratories(57.1%) suffer theirshortage of working personnel. specifically, 6 laboratories(21.4%) suffer the highest shortage especially inDenture field, Fifth, whole number of Gangwon association is up to 101 members (28 representatives and 73 ordinarymembers) until December 31th 2001. amount of immune from repair education of Gangwon associationuntil October 2001 is up to 10 persons, and missing members from 1997 is up to 18 persons, suspension ofbusiness is up to 4 persons. in aspect of transference from 1990, transfer-in is up to 21 persons and transfer-out is up to 16 persons.
