      • 조경요소가 도로교통소음 인지도에 미치는 심리적인 저감효과에 대한 연구

        The influence of the visual information on the sound perception would be considerable. Furthermore, if the sound perception ranges in noisiness or annoyance beyond the loudness, it will depend much more on the shape of the visual information. This paper aims to estimate the influence of the several kinds of visual information on the perception of road traffic noise by means of the psycho-acoustic test method. The findings of present study on the influence of visual information on subjective noise perception are summarized as follows: Presenting visual images of mild and comfortable scenery reduced the noise perception reaction at the less noisy environments not exceeding 65 dB(A). At highly noisy environments exceeding 65 dB(A), however, the noise perception can be reduced by strong image of waterfall. Even eliminating the road traffic image may be helpful. Visual image of waterfall reduced the noise perception at all levels. It is inferred that the road traffic noise perception can be effectively ameliorated by presenting strong and real landscape images at any noisy environment.

        造景植物의 道路交通騷音 減衰機能에 關한 基礎硏究(I)

        Landscape plants as attenuator of vehicular noise were basically experimented with 8 kinds of trees and shrubs at the university nursery, and checked the attenuating effects by the planted distances, species and sound frequencies. The experimental results are shown and sumarized as follows ; 1. Most plants showed the considerable noise attenuating function in the sound frequencies of 63Hz and 1,000Hz. Tall trees such as Juniperus chinensis var. kaizuka and Magnolia grandiflora showed better effects than shrubs or small trees such as Gardenia jasminoides, Osmanthus fragnance, Osmanthrs heterophyllus, Rhododendron indicum, Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Tetragona Aurea' and Pinus paruiflora in 63Hz frequency, but shrubs showed better effects in 1,000Hz. 2. Trees showed 6~8dB attenuation and shrubs 4~5dB regardless an increase of distance between sound source and receiver in 63Hz. 10 meter width of tree belt could reduce 10 more dB, but 5 meter of shrub belt showed the same effect in 1,000Hz. 3. Trees having more leaves and wider crown showed constantly increase of attenuation of sound by the distance in 1,000Hz, and distinct increase of attenuation were observed in 2,000 more Hz.

        도시주거지역 도로교통소음 평가에 있어서 청감실험의 이용에 관한 연구

        This study was carried out to verificate the possibility of using the laboratory setting psycho-acoustic experiment compared with the field and to delineate the appropriate indices in evaluating the Noisiness of road traffic noise by means of psycho-acoustic method. Reviewing the typical patterns of traffic noises depending upon the shapes ad conditions of the road, the road traffic noises in several representative points in the major residential areas in Kwangju city were recorded and reproduced with the noise levels modified in various steps. With these 20 sound sources, psycho-acoustic experiments in the laboratory were performed on 11 volunteer subjects. And then, psycho-acoustic experiments in the real field were performed on 10 volunteer subjects to compare the results of the laboratory experiment, the results are summerized as follows : 1. The psycho-acoustic experiments in the laboratory elicited the data well matching with those obtained in the field, resulting in even higher corelation levels. This indicates that the field assessement of responses to the noise can be replaced by the evaluatioin in the laboratory settings which render many variables easily controlled and that the responses of the residents to the noise can be easily predicted in the laboratory by applying this method. 2. Also among the complex indices, such as Noise Pollution Level or Annoyance Index high correlations were detected. On the other hand, low corelations were noted among Traffic Noise Index. 3. Highly significant correlations were found among the direct indices such as Leq, L\sub 10\, On the other hand, low correlations were detected among L\sub 50\.

        흙집의 하절기 실내 물리적 환경 특성과 온열감에 관한 연구

        The researches on the environmental friendly buildings have carried out on the materials, environmental property, technical elements and etc., and various buildings with these green materials have built and under construction nowadays and became a new trend of the green building. And recently, new building technique which builds the wall with the soil and wood and very easy to construct (called M Earthen House) was introduced as the green building and rapidly propagated. But the research on the indoor climatic characteristics, the ability to control the environmental comfort and the influence to the human beings of these buildings are not sufficiently identified yet. In this paper, the indoor environmental characteristics and the temperature controlling ability of these buildings in summer season were measured and analysed by the Portable Indoor Air Quality Monitor(BABUC/A, LSI) measuring equipments, ana the subjective test on the thermal environment of the subjects were carried out to evaluate the thermal comfort. The results can be summarized as follows; 1) Compared to the outdoor dry bulb temp.($15.4{\sim}28.7^{\circ}C$), the indoor temp. was $19.5{\sim}26.8^{\circ}C$. It showed the temperature controlling ability of the M earthen house was outstanding. And the indoor relative humidity, compared to the outdoor($45.4{\sim}100%$), was $58.1{\sim}76.4%$, it showed the humidity controlling ability of the M earthen house was also outstanding. 2) The thermal environment was evaluated as 'comfort'(neutral-slightly warm) and the humidity was also evaluated as 'comfort'(neutral-slightly humid). So, the results of the physical and subjective evaluation on the indoor thermal comfort in summer season were 'neutral' and 'comfort' coincidently, it was confirmed that the controlling ability of the indoor temperature and humidity of the M earthen house was very excellent.

        공공장소의 음풍경 재현을 위한 가상음장현장재현시스템 개발

        The soundscape is a novel attempt to offer comfortable sound environments at the urban public spaces by adding pleasant sounds and removing unagreeable ones. Most important factors to be considered therein are to determine what kind of sounds to offer and how to adjust them to the changing circumstances. But, installing, maintaining and adjusting the soundscape system directly in the field will ensue numerous problems as well as high costs. Thus, it is essential to devise a test method to analyse and verify the outcome before the actual installation in the field takes place. This study aims at devising the instrument system that enables to control. with a great ease, numerous variables. reproduce most agreeable sound sources, and can verify the effects on the virtual simulatory settings, which is named as Virtual Acoustic Field Simulation System (VAFSS).

      • 道路交通流의 特性에 따른 道路交通騷音의 效果的인 低減方案의 提案

        도로교통류의 형태에 따른 소음의 특성 및 방음벽과 수림대에 의한 소음전달 특성과 장단점, 성능 등을 분석하여 효과적인 도로교통소음방안을 제만하고자 수행한 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. 1. 도로교통소음의 주파수특성은 도로교통류의 특성에 따라 Free flow의 경우는 1,000Hz를 정점으로 한 산형을 이루는 반면 Non flow는 63Hz의 저주파수 대역이 가장 높은 (-)기울기를 갖는 형태로 서로 크게 다른 양상을 보였다. 2. 63Hz부근의 저주파수 대역에서 높은 값을 보이는 도심지역 도로교통소음의 저감방안은 우선 소음이 발생하게 되는 도로변의 연석부분에 낮은 화단을 설치하여 관목류에 의한 1차 흡음을 기대할 수 있으며 10m이하의 근거리에서도 상당한 효과를 갖는 교목성 수종과 방음벽과의 혼용으로 상당한 효과를 얻을 수 있으리라 사료된다. 3. 고주파수 대역에서 높은 값을 보이는 고속도로변 소음을 저감시키는 방안으로는 1,000Hz부근의 주파수 대역에서 차음 및 흡음성능이 좋은 관목성 수종과 방음벽을 도로에 인접하여 혼용함으로서 상당한 효과를 얻을 수 있으리라 사료된다. The Characteristics of the road traffic noise according to the traffic flow were examined and the attenuation effects of the road traffic noise through the landscape plants and noise barriers were experimented and compared with 8 kinds of trees, shrubs and noise barriors. The results of this study can be summerized as follows; 1. The shape of the road traffic noise was much influenced by the traffic flow. In case of the free flow, it was shown as the mountain which has the peak at the 1,000Hz, but in case of the non free flow, the shape was decreased from the 63Hz. 2. In case of the non-free flow, the shrubs at the curbs can obtain the primary reduction at 63Hz, and the use of the trees and barriers would be effective at that frequencies. 3. Using the barrier and the shrubs would be more effective on the road traffic noise of the free flow which has the peak level at 1,000Hz frequency band.

      • 공항 인접지역 학교의 실내환경평가

        This paper aims to evaluate the thermal comfort in the classrooms and the sound transmission loss(T.L.) between the classrooms and outside windows in elementary school which was designed to enhance the aircraft noise insulation performance. Double glazing, small area of opening windows, relatively large area of walls and air conditioning system were employed for the insulating solutions. But it was thought that those solutions could deteriorate other indoor environments. From the field survey it was checked whether the thermal environment was proper in classrooms. And it was reviewed how to improve the thermal conditions. And the T.L. between the classrooms, between the classroom and the outer doors in case of the air conditioning was operating or rot. We hope these results to provide architectural designers with the reference data in similar situations.

        도시 환경음의 쾌적성 평가요인에 관한 연구

        The assessment of an urban site depends on the way whether it responds to multiple needs such as functionality, aesthetic and complex comfort of acoustic, thermal, lighting and air quality etc. This study aims to investigate the assessment of various urban soundscapes in the sense of acoustic amenity by the questionnaires. As a result, acoustic amenity assessment was influenced by the non-acoustic factors such as environment assessment of visual, thermal, air quality etc. In the sense of sound quality, urban environmental sound was interpreted as 3 factors of strength, evolution of time, spacial localization. So these factors would be considered in the new assessment method for acoustic amenity. And it was shown that the subjects tend to perceive the noise level less than $3{\sim}5dB\;L_{eqA}$ according to the urban landscapes under the similar noise exposure level.
