As the society changes more to the aging society in future, many healthcare product are developed and distributed more on the market. The digital wrist band tye blood pressure device for home use are popular already in the market. It is useful for checking blood pressure level at home and control of hypertension. Especially, It is very essential home device to check the health condition of blood circulation disease. Nowadays many product types are available. But the measurement accuracy of blood pressure is not enough compared to the mechanical type. It needs to be upgraded to assure the precise health data enough to use in the hospital. The structure, feature and output signal of capacitor type pressure sensors are analyzed. An improved design fo capacitor sensor is suggested. It shows more precise health data after use on a wrist band type health unit. They can be applied for remote u-health medical service.
A Low Cost ZugBee-based Air Monitoring System for Subway Station Using Multi-Hop Mesh Networking

Subway air pollution is very harmful to passengers, employees and the shop owners who are staying in underground of subway stations. The air in subway has high density of dust particles and chemical components that may be critically harm to health. Subway management organizations expect a stable, real time and remote type of air monitoring system. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) allow a stable data transfer from sensor nodes to the main server. WSNs have been widely applied to a wide range of fields such as environmental monitoring, infrastructure management, medical, home, military and so on. The WSN technology was applied to an air pollution monitoring system in a subway station. The system is installed with ZigBee devices for making up wireless network. The existing specified facilities that measure PM10, CO2, CO, NOX, NO, VOCs temperature, humidity respectively have very large structure. They are also too expensive. So it is difficult that such conventional equipments are applied to air pollution monitoring in such fields. In this paper the ZigBee device for air pollution monitoring was newly designed and tested. It is small-size and inexpensive. It employs sensors with enough precision and ZigBee chip. It is expected that this system protects passengers and workers health and the managers can use the reliable ubiquitous environment monitoring system. In addition, the capability of each sensor node and networks were tested to prove efficient telecommunication and this paper proposes future challenges.
멀티홉 트리 라우팅 알고리듬을 적용한 무선 통합 공기질 측정 센서노드에 관한 연구

기존의 지그비 기반의 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크 기술을 적용한 각종 모니터링 어플리케이션들은 노드 수가 증가함에 따라 라우팅 오버헤드 및 종단간의 지연 등 네트워크 성능에 부정적인 영향을 주는 네트워크 효율성에 대한 문제점을 많이 보이고 있다. 본 논문에서 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위해 지그비 기술을 이용하여 멀티흡을 지원하는 트리 라우팅 알고리듬을 적용한 유비쿼터스 지하철역 공기질 모니터링을 위한 무선 통합 공기질 측정 센서노드를 설계하고 실제 지하철역 현장에서 성능평가를 수행하였다. 본 연구결과는 지하 환경에서 신뢰성있는 센서 네트워크를 구축하고 차후 광대역 통합 네트워크망과 연동을 통해 다양한 서비스 사업의 기반이 될 것으로 판단된다.
ZigBee를 이용한 실시간 임베디드 리눅스 기반의 저전력형 U-Health 시스템 구현

As the sensors and communication technology get advance, the remote health diagnosis for patients and senior persons at home are possible now without visiting doctors in hospitals. A low-power ubiquitous health check device was developed adapting Real-Time Embedded Linux is developed. This ubiquitous device is consisted of three sensors. The wrist type health checking' terminal acquires periodically the health data by using a blood pressure sensor, a pulse sensor and a body temperature sensor. It transmits the health data to the access point located at the home center through the ZigBee wireless communication modem. This health data collector or access point device sends the data again to the main server operated in a hospital or health care organization. The health server control continuously the input data and sends an alarm signal to the assigned doctor and responsible persons using cellular SMS when any dangerous events occur. This wrist type health check device has an embedded linux OS using Intel PAX255 MPU. The developed U-Health system is applicable for checking patients health in remote at home. And their family or related persons in remote site can check the patients health status at any time. They can be assured by receiving SMS record and alarm of emergency case which is transmitted from the health server.

Wireless Sensor Networking is state of the art technology that has a wide range of potential applications. Sensor network generally consists of a large number of distributed nodes that organize themselves into a multi-hop wireless network. Each node has one or more sensors, embedded processors and low-power radios, and is normally battery operated because of small size. In this paper wireless sensor networking technology applies to the environment monitoring system in the underground. This system can monitor a pollution level of the underground in realtime for keeping up a comfortable environment.
