There have been a lot of study to improve the performance of membrane filters as the removal of particulate matter has been of great interest due to the negative effects. Among the membrane fabrication techniques, the electrospinning technique is the most promising because it can produce uniform fibers ranging from nano to micrometer size. The electrospun membranes will greatly improve the filtration performance due to the high ratio of surface area to volume and the high porosity. In the present study, polystyrene (PS) and cellulose acetate (CA) polymers were used to produce the membranes with carbon nanotube (CNT), showing the filtration performances were improved with the optimal amounts of CNT.

Purpose: This study aimed to confirm the prevalence of depression among college students as a result of the aftereffects of COVID-19, and to examine the influence of interpersonal competence, positive psychological capital, resilience, and family support on depression. Methods: A survey was conducted involving 238 college students aged 20 or older who had tested positive for COVID-19. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed using the SPSS/WIN 27.0 Program, and odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals were calculated. Results: Among the students diagnosed with COVID-19 in this study, those who received an allowance (OR=1.23, p=.035), engaged in alcohol consumption (OR=1.84, p=.027), and played online games (OR=2.17, p<.001) were found to have higher levels of depression as a result of the aftereffects of COVID-19. Additionally, a lack of interpersonal competence (OR=2.12, p<.001), positive psychological capital (OR=2.43, p=.037), and family support (OR=1.56, p=.038) had a greater impact on depression among students experiencing the aftereffects of COVID-19. Conclusion: Active interest and intervention from colleges and relevant organizations are necessary to address the various challenges faced by college students in the aftermath of COVID-19, and to meet their diverse needs in stressful situations.

Purpose: We aimed to elucidate the relationship between the knowledge, nursing performance, and stress of delirium in cancer hospital nurses. The results might help provide better and appropriate nursing care to patients with delirium. Methods: As a descriptive study, 143 nurses who had worked for over one year at one cancer hospital in S city were included in this study. The data collection period was from February 1 to 15, 2021. Results: It was found that cancer hospital nurses with delirium-related nursing education had a high knowledge of delirium. Cancer hospital nurses who were married and had an educational background above graduate school showed relatively high nursing performance against delirium. Also, cancer hospital nurses had relatively high stress levels. Conclusion: Therefore, an opportunity to develop and participate in a systematic education program is necessary to raise cancer hospital nurses’ knowledge levels of delirium and improve nursing performance for delirium. Furthermore, it is necessary to have a stress management program for delirium for cancer hospital nurses.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the factors affecting the self-care of older adults living alone in a community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: Data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 160 older adults living alone in Seoul, Gyeong-gi, and Chung-cheong province using self-care, health conservation, psychological well-being, and self-esteem scales. Data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficients, t-test, analysis of variance ANOVA, and Hierarchial stepwise multiple regression with the SPSS/Windows version 25.0 program. Results: The greatest variables affecting the self-care for older adults living alone were compliance with COVID-19 quarantine rules (β=-.04, p=.054), interactions with the neighborhood (β=-.06, p=.029), economic status (β=.10, p=.008), health conservation (β=.29, p<.001), psychological well-being (β=.18, p=.008), and self-esteem (β=.35, p<.001). The explanatory power of these variables was 70.0% (F=18.45, p<.001). Conclusion: Regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, these factors were highly mutually related to older adults living alone, so it is necessary for older adults living alone to actively participate in self-care programs using direct and indirect community resources.
