Analyzing Activity for Estrus Detection in Korean Native Cattle

Existing estrus detection products operation inconvenience, due to the reliability of the device degradation problems estrus detection probability is lower. In addition, most existing studies was the study of estrus detection of milk cows in large-scale farms studies on Korean Native Cattle farms was not realized. In this paper, discerned using a 3-axis accelerometer to determine the estrus state of Korean Native Cattle. The Korea Native Cattle estrus detection system proposed in this paper consists of these, the three-axis acceleration sensor, sensor network uses Zigbee communication, a base station, field server and database servers. When there is no movement the value of the three-axis acceleration sensor is 1000 due to gravity, the acceleration sensor attached to the cattle’s neck causes a feeble change even though there is no movement of cattle. In this paper, due to the no activity of Korean Native Cattle, censed weak values of sensor are filtered out. In the experiment the sensor data acquisition activities that occur during the actual targeting Cattles at the Cattle farmer by the three-axis acceleration sensor X, Y, Z-axis values analyzed through SVM algorithm output’s one representative value and ISVM algorithm which output integral average. In addition, to determine Korean Native Cattle’s estrus time, activity data collected and compared by 3 hours, 6 hours integral. ISVM algorithm was validated by experimental results that the appropriate algorithm for the Korean Native Cattle’s activity analysis.

This study aims to survey the living spaces of the welfare facilities for the aged to get the objective relationships between the physical thermal environment and the users' subjective responses. The surveys were made twice in winter and once in summer during 2001 and 2002. An ambient temperature, relative humidity, air velocity, globe temperature were measured as physical elements of thermal environment and the ASHRAE Psychophysical Voting Scale were used as an evaluation index for subjective responses. As the results, the aged respond thermally comfortable, in spite of the differences among important factors such as thermal sensations, humidity sensations and air velocity sensations. Also the physical thermal environmental elements and the subjective responses indices exceed thermal comfort range calculated by PMV(Predicted Mean Vote) and PPD(Predicted Percentage Dissatisfied). It shows that the insulation of walls of the facilities is not enough for heating and cooling seasons, and the indoor environmental control is necessary.

The authors experienced 2 cases of medulloblastoma in which active hemorrhage occurred after external ventricular drainage(EVD). A 5 yeardd girl suffered from cerebellar fit and brain CT Scan showed severe hydrocephalus. So EVD was performed and the pressure was measured about 80cm H2O. After a gradual reduction of EVD pressure for 15 minutes, fresh blood gushed out through the EXD catheter. The other case was a 7 year-old girl whose tumor bled after intraoperative EVD, just before dural incision. Both tumors were highly vascular in operative field. The first case was ;)ed-ridden at 5 months after surgery and the second case was on postoperative chemotherapy in a good general condition with minimal neurological deficits. Previous reports in the literatures including 2 cases of hemorrhage associated with EVD in medulloblastoma were reviewed The relatively high incidence of tumor hemorrhage in medulloblastoma and its detrimental influence on the outcome are emphasized

Various problems of speech database system were discussed and a new logical structure of speech database was presented. To handle the speech data, variable length data must be processed as well as fixed length data. A new retrieval language for speech data was presented. This query style language can be used to analyze speech, and the embedded retrieval language retrieve phonemes of arbitary speech pattern. The tool was implemented using C Language on IBM-PC/386 and could be used for speech data retrieval.
