a c k g r o u n d: The study of the medial antebrachial cutaneous nerve (MABCN) is an underused electrodiagnostic tool. But its use is often crucial for assessing mild lower brachial plexus or MABCN lesions, and sometimes for differentiating an ulnar mononeuropathy from a lower brachial plexopathy. This study was designed to know the difference of amplitude and velocity in a stimulation method (orthodromic vs antidromic), side of an arm and sex according by age. Method: MABCN conduction studies were performed orthodromically and antidromically in 90 subjects (42 women and 48 men, ranging from 22 to 79 years of age). We divided subjects into three groups by age (group 1: 20-39 years, group 2: 40-59 years, group 3: 60-79 years). The mean sensory nerve action potential amplitudes and sensory nerve conduction velocities in each group was compared by stimulation method, side of an arm and sex. Result: The amplitudes and velocities made a significant difference between orthodromic and antidromic method in all age groups. At comparison in amplitude and velocity by side of an arm, only amplitude was significantly higher in right arm than left by any stimulation method. The amplitudes and velocities were of no statistically differences in sex except amplitude checked orthodromically in right arm. Conclusion: This study suggests that there is the differences in conduction study of MABCN by stimulation method and side of an arm.

수근관 증후군의 임상증상정도와 감각신경전도검사와의 관계

Background: Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a common condition characterized by entrapment neuropathy of the median nerves. Clinical manifestations are the most important findings for diagnosis and assessment of therapeutic effects. But, objective indicators, such as electrophysiological findings, are also valuable supplementary tools. This study investigated the relationship between clinical grading and sensory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV) of median proper palmar digital nerve (MPPDN) in CTS patients. Method: This study was done on 90 upper limbs of 53 patients with CTS (men: 6, women: 47, age: 26~69 years, mean age; 52 years). Each SNCV of MPPDN was recorded with bar electrode using antidromic method. Each SNCV was compared with clinical grading of CTS. The clinical grades of CTS were designated as follows; group 1 is mild symptoms, 2 is moderate symptoms, and 3 is severe and longstanding symptoms. Result: In thumb, the SNCV of MPPDN was not different significantly between 3 groups (p=0.817). In the index finger, the SNCV was the fastest in the group 1, but faster in group 3 than in group 2 (p=0.001). In the middle and ring fingers, SNCV was decreased in higher clinical grading groups (middle finger: p=0.015, ring finger: p=0.044). Conclusion: SNCV of MPPDN of middle and ring finger correlated with the clinical grading of CTS. SNCV of index finger was the fastest in group 1. But SNCV of thumb did not correlate with the clinical grading of CTS.

Many researches on path planning and obstacle avoidance for the fundamentals of mobile robot have been done. Informations from various sensors can find obstacles and make path. In spite of many solutions of finding optimal path, each can be applied to only a constrained condition. This means that it is difficult to find a universal algorithm. A optimal path with a complicated computation generates a time delay which cannot avoid moving obstacles. In this paper, we propose the algorithm of path planning and obstacle avoidance for mobile robot. We call the proposed method Random Access Sequence(RAS) method. In the proposed method, a small region is set first and numbers are assigned to its neighbors, then the path is selected using these numbers. It has an advantage of fast planning and simple operation. This means that new path selection may be possible within short time and that helps a robot to avoid obstacle in any direction. When a robot meets moving obstacles, it avoids obstacles in a random direction. RAS method using obstacle information from variable sensors is useful to get minimum path length to goal. 이동로봇의 경로 설정과 장애물 회피에 관한 문제는 이동로봇을 제어하기 위한 기본적인 문제로서 지금까지 많은 연구가 진행되어 오고 있다. 다양한 센서들로부터 얻어진 정보는 로봇이 진행하기 위한 경로에 대한 결정과 장애물에 대한 정보를 제공해준다. 제한 조건이 존재하는 경우에서 그 상황에 알맞은 방법들이 대부분이며, 다른 상황을 해결하기에는 어려움이 있다. 또한, 최적화된 경로에 대한 좋은 결과를 만들기 위해서는 복잡한 계산 과정을 통해서 시간 지연이 발생하게 된다. 이와 같은 처리 방법은 움직이는 장애물의 회피와 같이 빠른 처리를 필요로 하는 상황에서 단점으로 작용한다. 본 논문에서는 장애물과 이동 가능한 경로들의 영역을 작은 영역들이 분포하는 공간으로 변형하고 이와 같이 구성된 공간에서 밀도와 연결 상태를 통해 이동 로봇이 진행 할 수 있는 최단 경로를 결정한다. 제안된 방법을 통해 작은 영역들은 자신의 번호를 가지게 되며, 주변 영역들의 개수를 통해 이동 경로를 결정하게 된다.

We propose a formation-keeping and changing methods for outdoor multiple mobile robots in chained form. Our proposed method is designed to maintain the follower to its desired distance and orientation with respect to the pole using the concept of virtual force such as potential field. The client robots use a behavior-based control to perform kinematic control to keep formation under the centralized system in our software framework. The relationship of each poles that is expressed by set of distance and angle is the description of the formation type and the type converting is performed using this set. In addition, we also examine the stability and capability in the simulation and experiments with real robots.
고령자들의 디지털 자산관리 서비스 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 특성 및 요인

The purpose of this study was to identify factors that affect the characteristics and intentions of the elderly to use digital wealth management services. The subjects of this study were 312 elderly people over 50 years old. Based on the Value-based Adoption Model(VAM), the research model added price value, social influence, and perceived risk as research variables. As a result of empirical analysis, it was found that usefulness, enjoyment, price value, and social influence all had a significant positive (+) effect on perceived value. It was found that technicality had a significant negative (-) effect. On the other hand, no significant effect relationship was tested on perceived risk. The perceived value had a significant positive (+) effect on the intention to use. This study was meaningful in the academic research that it applied a research model that reflected the characteristics of the elderly who were not treated as mainstream in the technology acceptance model for digital wealth management services. In addition, it provided practical implications for providers' marketing strategies and government/public institution policy establishment to increase the use of digital wealth management services for the elderly. 본 연구는 디지털 자산관리 서비스에 대한 고령자의 이용 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 파악하고자 한다. 연구대상은 50대 이상 고령자 312명이었다. 연구모형은 가치기반수용모델(VAM)을 바탕으로 가격 효용성, 사회적 영향, 인지된 위험을 연구 변인으로 추가하였다. 실증분석 결과 유용성, 즐거움, 가격 효용성, 그리고 사회적 영향은 인지된 가치에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 기술성은 유의한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 인지된 위험은 유의한 영향 관계가 검정되지 않았다. 인지된 가치는 이용의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 디지털 자산관리 서비스에 대하여, 기술수용모델에서 주류로 다루지 않았던 고령자를 대상으로 그 특성을 반영한 연구모형을 적용했다는 학술적 의미가 있다. 또한 고령자들의 디지털 자산관리 서비스 이용도를 높이기 위한 공급자들의 마케팅 전략 및 정부/공공기관의 정책 수립에 실무적 시사점을 제공했다.
