          생쥐에서의 골도분촌에 의한 상응혈위

          Objective : Modern acupuncture research often utilizes the methodology of animal experiment where animal acupoints(AA) are stimulated and the results observed. There hasn't been any consensus on the AA locations yet, but it is integral for the locations to be defined in detail for any animal experiment. Methods : The review of 24 original articles published in the Journal of Korean Acupuncture and Moxibustion Society for recent one year which utilized animal experiment methodology revealed that AA are located primarily by the method of transposition from human acupoints. Only a few of those AA were defined in detail. ST-36, CV-12, GB-34, BL-23 were among the most frequently used AA. Results & Conculsion : Transpositional Ⅲ acupoint system of mouse is proposed, which includes 3 points of LU meridian, 4 of LI, 10 of ST, 8 of SP, 3 of HT, 4 of SI, 26 of BL, 2 of KI, 4 of PC, 3 of TE, I1 of GB, 6 of LR, 8 of CV and 19 of GV.

          자가면역질환의 봉독요법에 대한 Pubmed 검색을 통한 고찰

          Objective & Method : To identify current state of bee venom therapy(BVT) research as a treatment of autoimmune diseases, we reviewed the PubMed electronic database. 9 articles with clinical implications were discussed. Results : BVT is reported as effective in the treatment of such autoimmune related diseases as rheumatoid arthritis and insulin dependent diabetes mellitus in animal experiment, The lack of evidence on BVT as a treatment of multiple sclerosis deters us from reaching any determination. There also lacks firm evidences of immune response regulative or anti inflammatory mechanism of BVT. No clinicla trial was found. Conculsion : This review raises the urgent need of study to provide scientific and clinical evidences.

        • 加熱溫度에 따른 艾葉의 成分變化 및 生理活性에 關한 硏究

          Purpose : The study for changes in components and activities of Artemisiae Herba. at various processing temperature is generally regarded as a foundation in setting the optimum heat-processing temperature and for getting the maximum activities for medical usage of this herb. Methods: Therefore some experiments were performed either in vitro or in vivo and various changes were observed- the changes in the weitht of Artemisiae Herba, the changes in the relative amount. of three kinds of extracts from Artemisiae Herba ( diluted ethanol extract, water extract, ether extract), the TLC pattern of essential oil at various processing temperature, the existance of inhibitory effects both on β-Glucuronidase activities, and on heat-induced hemolysis, the effects on increased vascular permeability. The valid results derived from the experiments are as follows. Results: 1. The weight of Artemisiae Herba prominently decreased at 240℃. 2. The contents of diluted ether extract were maximum in the unprocessing condition. Those of water extract were maximum at 180℃ and at 210℃, and the changes of diluted ethanol extract at 150℃. 3. The TLC pattern of essential oil in Artemisiae Herba at various processing temperature showed that a component began to increase at Rf 0.56 and another component began to decrease at Rf 0.86. 4. The contents of Eupati1in in Artemisiae Herba at various processing temperature continued to decreased in proportion to the temperature rise, the extent of which was prominent at 21℃, and was unnoticeable at 270℃. 5. Inhibitory effects on β-Glucuronidase activities, trypsin activities and heat-induced hemolysis increased in proportion to the density of Artemisiae Herba. Inhibitory β-Glucuronidase activities and trypsin activities were relatively high at 180℃ while on the writhing syndrome and inhibitory effects on increased vascular permeability induced by acetic acid were maximum at 240℃ those on heat-induced hemolysis were relatively high at 240℃. 6. In vivo, both analgesic effects Conclusions: To maximize of the effectiveness of Artemisiae Herba, the ideal heating temperature id in the range of 180℃~240℃.

        • 中寒冷環境에서 艾灸刺戟 期間 및 形態가 CD4 T세포에 미치는 영향

          Purpose; This Study was aimed to Investigate the different effects according to the form and term of moxibustion therapy on the depression of the immune response induced by cold stress in rats. Methods, The control group and the Sample groups were also exposed to cold stress and they were redivided into 1, 2, 3, 4 day-group by total term of time exposed to cold stress. The sample group were classified into sample I (direct moxibustion therapy), sample I (Bongrae-moxibustion therapy) according to the form of moxibustion, To all of sample groups, each moxibustion therapy were peformed 2 times a day on the loci corresponding Bi-su(BL20) of Human body and Blank loci. Experimental studies frere performed for the observation of the No. of RBC, WBC and Lymphocyte in blood CD4+ T helper cell count, spleen CD4? T helper cell count, axillary lymph node CD4? T helper cell count, and Thymus CD4+T helper cell count in rats exposed to cold stress. Results ; 1. The CD4? T ce11 count in blood was increased statistically significant in all of the sample I (1, 2, 3, 4-day group) as compared with the control group. And in the sample II only 2-day group gained the statistical significance as compared with the control group. 2. The CD4? T cell count in axillyary lymph node was increased statistically significant in all of the sample I (1, 2, 3, 4-day group) compared with the control group. But all of the sample II were increased without the statistical significance compared with the control group. 3. The CD4? cell count in Spleen was increased with the statistical nonsignificance in all of the sample I (1, 2, 3, 4-day group) as compared with the control group. And in the sampleII only 1-day group gained the statistical significance as compared with the control group. all of the sample I (1, 2, 3, 4-day group) as compared with the control group. And in the sample II only 1-day group gained the statistical significance as compared with the control group. 4. The CD4? T cell count in Thymus was increased with the statistical non significance in the Conclusions ; On the depression of the immune response induced by cold stress in rats, direct moxibustion therapy is more effective than Bongrae-moxibustion therapy for the recovery of immune response.

          구안와사(口眼?斜)의 평가방법(評價方法)에 대한 고찰(考察)

          Background and Objetive : Lack of uniformity in reporting facial nerve recovery in patients with facial nerve paralysis has been a major disadvantage in comparing treatment modalities. The objective evaluation of facial nerve function is a complex procedure. The House and Brackmann grading system, the Yanagihara grading system has been recommend as a universal standard for assessing the degree of facial nerve palsy. However, clinical studies for treatment of facial palsy have rarely used this universal standard in oriental medicine. That is the reason for analysing this facial nerve grading system. Material and Method : We choose 10 scales reported from 1955 till 1995. These facial nerve grading systems may be classified as Gross system, Regional system and Specific system. Result and Conculsion : The scales of Botmann and Jonkees, May, Peitersen, and House and Brackmann are the gross facial nerve grading systems with which we grossly assess the facial motor dysfunction and the secondary defect. Among these scales, H-B scale is the most widespred The scales of Yanagihara(若杉文吉), Smith, Adour and Swanson, Jassen, FEMA are the regional facial nerve grading system in which we weight, or unweight the facial motor dysfunction and the secondary defect. For example, the scales of Yanagihara(若杉文吉) and Smith are the unweighted regional scale, the scale of Adour and Swanson, Jassen, FEMA are the weighted regional grading system. The scale of Stennert is the Specific facial nerve grading system in which we respectively assess the grade of facial dysfunction at rest, in motion and the secondary defect. For the objective evaluation of the oriental medicine treatment for facial palsy, we must use the universal standard scale, i.e. the H-B scale, the Yanagihara scale.
