The robust design technology which can determine design variables getting best performance function with insensitivity to the environment noise, is an important method for improving the performance of products at low cost. Applying the robust design technology in ship design, Koh et al[10] introduced the planing hull design. This paper reports the application this technology to a 150K bulk carrier which has many design variables and shows that the robust design technology is superior to optimization technique in practical use.
연안 소형선박내의 소음 및 진동에 기초한 선상근무 환경의 평가

연안 경비함정의 선상근무 환경은 육상근무 환경에 비하여 매우 열악하여 선상근무 기피와 선원 고령화의 원인이 되고 있다. 특히 선박내 소음은 난청과 같은 직업병을 유발시키는 원인이 된다. 따라서 안락한 선상근무 환경 및 거주 환경의 확보를 통하여 선상근무 피로도를 경감시키는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 선박내 소음 및 진동의 실선 계측을 통하여 선상근무 환경을 체계적으로 평가한다. 그리고 선상근무 환경의 평가 결과에 기초하여 선상근무 피로도 경감대책을 제안한다. The shipboard working environment of coastal patrol ship is very inferior to the ground working environment and it causes the avoidance of shipboard working and the aging of crew. Especially the noise in ships causes an occupational disease such as hardness of hearing. Hence to reduce the shipboard working fatigue is necessary by the security of the comfortable shipboard working environment and residence environment. In this paper, firstly we evaluate the shipboard working environment by using the measurement results of the shipboard noise and vibration in the sea. And we propose the measures to reduce the shipboard working fatigue which is based or, the evaluation results of the shipboard working environment.

Robust design developed by G.Taguchi is an efficient and systematic methodology that applies statistical experimental design for improving product and manufacturing process design. This paper describes the robust design using genetic algorithms instead of orthogonal array. Also, we apply the robust design methodology to a high-speed planing hull and verify usefullness of this methodology by comparing the results of optimal technique and this methodology.
환경비용을 고려한 수출입컨테이너 화물의 운송경로 선택에 관한 연구

본 논문에서는 운송시간과 운송비용으로 구성된 희생량 모델과 운송경로의 환경비용을 이용한 수출입 컨테이너화물의 운송경로 선택에 관하여 고찰한다. 먼저 희생량 모델, 운송의 환경비용, 수출입 컨테이너화물의 물동량과 운송경로별 분담율에 대하여 간단히 살펴본다. 그리고 부산항의 수출입 컨테이너화물을 서울로 운송하는 경우를 가정하고 운송시간과 운송비용, 화물의 운송에 의하여 발생하는 환경비용에 대하여 고찰한다. 또한 환경비용을 고려한 희생량 모델을 이용하여 각 운송경로별 희생량을 계산한다. 마지막으로 계산된 운송경로의 희생량에 기초하여 수출입컨테이너 화물의 운송경로를 결정한다. 본 연구의 결과, 운송의 환경비용을 고려하는 경우 수출입컨테이너의 육상운송 분담율이 감소하며 연안운송 분담율이 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. In this paper, we investigate the selection of transport route for import-export container cargo based on the sacrifice model and em ironmental cost of transport route. At first, the sacrifice model, environmental cost of transport, the volumes and the transport share of import-export container cargo are investigated briefly. And next, the transport time and cost, the environmental cost which is caused by cargo transport are investigated for the transport of import-export container cargo from Busan Port to Seoul. And also we calculate the sacrifice of each route by using the sacrifice model including the environmental cost. Finally we decide the transport route of import-export container cargo by using the sacrifice of each transport route. From the research results, we confirm that the road transport share decreases and the coastal transport share increases when the environmental coast of transport is considered.

The technology of small and medium sized shipbuilding companies is lower relatively to major shipbuilding companies, and should be up-graded from the viewpoint of national economic development. In spite that hull form design is one of the most important elements with respect to shipbuilding technology, small and medium sized shipbuilding companies are incapable of developing hull form.<br/> In order to support technically such companies hull form development was carried out for G/T 999ton class tanker and D/W 4990ton class tanker which are the typical vessels operating in coastal area. The operating efficiency for the developed hull forms are improved by 30% for G/T 999ton class tanker and 24% for D/W 4990 ton class tanker respectively. The results of hull form development including ship model test and performance analysis are presented in this paper.
