        오버레이 멀티캐스트에서의 트래픽 에이전트에 관한 고찰

        최근 멀티미디어 데이터를 효율적으로 전송하기 위한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 이 중에서 인터넷 방송은 다양한 멀티미디어 데이터를 인터넷을 통해 동시에 많은 고객들에 전송하는 기술이다. 인터넷 방송과 같은 대용량의 멀티미디어 데이터를 전송하기 위해서는 효율적인 데이터 전송방법이 필요하다. 일대일 전송방법인 유니캐스트 방식의 단점을 극복하고 멀티캐스트 방식의 대안으로 응용계층 멀티캐스트 애플리케이션(application)인 오버레이 멀티캐스트(overlay multicast) 방식에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다.본 논문에서는 인터넷의 망 환경이나 물리적인 개선의 필요 없이 응용 프로그램만으로 구현이 가능한 오버레이 멀티캐스트에서의 트래픽 에이전트 시스템에 관해 분류하고 고찰하였다. Recently, studies for effective multimedia data delivery have been widely performed. Among those researches, internet broadcasting is a technology to transmit various multimedia contents to variety of costumers on the internet simultaneously. To deliver large scale multimedia data such as internet broadcasting, efficient data delivery method is required. Therefore, technologies based on the overlay multicast of application layer multicast application are actively studied as an alternative for multicast overcoming shortcoming of uni-cast based technologies, which are one to one transmission methods. In this paper, we classify and study on the overlay multicasting for internet broadcasting, which can be implemented by application programs without modification in physical layer of the internet.

        Numerical Simulation of Cement Kiln Combined with Thermal Plasma for SF6 Pyrolysis

        Although SF6 gas has been used as insulation in electric power and transmission equipment, it is a very harmful greenhouse gas. SF6 can be injected inside the cement kiln, for pyrolysis and safe conversion, during cement production. As the temperature distribution inside a kiln is not uniform, the pyrolysis and conversion efficiency of SF6 are low. In this study, a kiln reactor combined with thermal plasma torches was applied to develop a high pyrolysis rate for SF6. A numerical analysis was conducted to investigate the variation of heat flow that thermal plasma causes inside the cement kiln. The simulations were conducted for kilns that did and did not include a thermal plasma torch. The results showed that the average temperature inside the kiln with thermal plasma was relatively low due to the gas-mixing effect of the latter; however, the peripheral temperature was stabilized. In addition, the temperature of the near kiln inlet increased. As a result, it is expected that the internal temperature of a kiln combined with thermal plasma technology will become uniform due to the gas-mixing effect of thermal plasma, and the SF6 pyrolysis efficiency will increase as the temperature of the local region rises.

        Simultaneous preaxillary mound correction using liposuction through a breast augmentation incision

        The preaxillary mound (PAM) is an aesthetic unit that is often overlooked in breast surgery, although it is intimately associated with the outcomes of breast augmentation. Over 18 months, a series of 76 patients who underwent simultaneous PAM correction using liposuction through a breast augmentation incision were reviewed retrospectively to evaluate the effectiveness of this approach. The mean follow-up was 9 months. In total, 150 PAMs were treated with suction alone. The inframammary approach was used in 72 cases, and the periareolar approach was used in four cases. Satisfactory results were achieved in 99% of cases. One patient presented postoperatively with remaining tissue. The use of a breast augmentation incision to treat PAM is an effective and safe technique that eliminates the need for an additional suction cannula incision.

        The reverse lip design: a design for safe and effective abdominoplasty

        Conventional abdominoplasty includes the removal of an ellipse-shaped section of abdominal tissue between the umbilicus and mons pubis. However, this method can result in tension of the undermined flap, especially in the midline. To address this problem, we present reverse lip design as a modified method that also has aesthetic advantages. The reverse lip design entails a longer lower flap edge while preserving the triangular tissue in the vascularly stable pubis area. These markings create an image of a reverse lip shape with a cleft at the bottom of the lower markings. After typical lipoabdominoplasty is performed, redundant waist tissues can easily be pulled inward and downward. The reverse lip design abdominoplasty demonstrated no complications and required no further revisions after the procedure. Patients were generally satisfied with the aesthetic improvements in their body shape. They were also able to return to their routine activities approximately 1 week after the operation while wearing a supporting undergarment. This modified abdominoplasty using the reverse lip design reduces low midline tension of the undermined abdominal flap while enhancing body aesthetics with a slimmer waistline, leading to higher patient satisfaction.

        티베트 요거트에서 분리한 유산균의 병원성 세균 항균 효과 연구

        Yogurt is produced by bacterial fermentation of milk and contains lactic acid bacteria (LAB), which produce various metabolites such as organic acid, hydrogen peroxide, and bacteriocin. This study aimed to investigate cell-free supernatants (CFS) of LAB isolated from Tibetan yogurt. CFS (TY1, TY2, TY3, TY4, TY5, TY6, and TY7) from selected strains of LAB were co-incubated with four different foodborne pathogenic bacteria, namely E. coli O157:H7, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella typhimurium, and Staphylococcus aureus. Inhibition of foodborne pathogenic bacterial growth was not affected in the presence of CFS (pH 6.5). In contrast, CFS without neutralization completely inhibited the growth of the bacteria. Furthermore, when the concentration of CFS (without neutralization) was changed to 1:4 and 1:8, a difference in inhibition was observed between Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. CFS more effectively inhibited the growth of Gram-negative E. coli O157:H7 and S. Typhimurium than Gram-positive L. monocytogenes and S. aureus. These results suggest that organic acids in LAB may inhibit the growth of foodborne pathogenic bacteria, particularly Gram-negative bacteria

        포항시 여남동 마이오세 두호층에서 산출된 가자미목 화석의 기재와 의의

        Four entities of the Cenozoic fish fossils were discovered in the Miocene Duho Formation, Pohang, Korea. these fossils were identified as the first Pleuronectiformes in Korea based on the following-the presence of postcleithrum, the elongation of the first proximal pterygiophore of the anal fin ray, almost consistent presence of two proximal pterygiophore of the anal fin rays between the two adjacent hemal spines, the fusion of the first and second hypurals, the fusion of the third and fourth hypurals and the first preural centrum, the presence of well-developed anteriormost platelike neural spine, the presence of the urohyal like fish-hook and its elongated sciatic part, and the division of the parahypural from the first preural centrum. On the other hand, geological studies about the Duho Formation consistently claimed that shallow-sea creatures were washed away by meteorological events such as a great flood and deposited at the bottom of deep-sea by the turbidity current. However, in Duho Formation, only shallow-sea ones have been discovered thus far. This study reported that Flat fish, deep-sea creature, was discovered in Duho Formation for the first time in Korea. 신생대 어류 화석 4개체가 포항의 마이오세 두호층에서 발견되었다. 본 화석은 뒷지느러미의 앞쪽 담기골(pterygiophore)이 연장되어 있고, 후의쇄골(postcleithrum)이 존재하며, 두 개의 인접한 혈관극 사이에 뒷지느러미 담기골 두개가 거의 일정하게 존재한다. 그리고 첫 번째와 두 번째 하미축골(hypurals)이 융합되었고, 세 번째와 네 번째 하미축골과 첫 번째 전미추체(preural centrum)가 융합되어 있다. 그리고 두부인근의 잘 발달된 판상 신경극과 낚시바늘모양의 미설골(urohyal)이 존재하고, 그 좌골부(sciatic part)가 꺾여있다. 그리고 준하미골(parahypural)이 첫 번째 전미추체로부터 분리되어 있다. 이를 근거로 볼 때, 이 화석은 국내 최초의 가지미목으로 동정되었다. 그간의 두호층 지질학적 연구는 천해환경의 생물들이 육상의 큰 홍수와 같은 사건으로 떠내려가 저탁류에 의해 심해환경에서 퇴적되었다고 주장해 왔다. 하지만 여태껏 천해환경 생물들만 발견되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 두호층에서 최초로 심해생물인 가자미류가 보고되었다.
