The exhaust gas with solid particle goes through the riser in both particle circulating type and circulating fluidized bed type heat exchanger to recover the heat. During heat transfer, gas velocity in vertical riser decreases as viscosity of exhaust gas decreases. In this case, when the particle size is fixed, sometimes the exhaust gas happens to have lower velocity which prohibit them to go out of the riser. In this paper the particle motion in vertical Rayleigh flow was studied. The behavior of heat transfer was investigated by means of velocity and temperature distribution. The result from numerical analysis was validated by the experimental results. Fortran code was used to analyze the particle motion in vertical Rayleigh flow.

Recently the fluidized bed type heat exchanger systems become attractive among the energy managers and researchers mainly, because of their nature of increase in heat transfer rates, reduction or elimination of fouling and corrosion resistance. As the particles become 'sticky' when they are wet, some kinds of countermeasure should be provided for the successful operation, especially in the start-up period. Careful attention needs to be paid to the rate of particle ingestion as well. In this study, in order to overcome these operational challenges an automatic control system of particle in a fluidized bed heat exchanger was established. This control system has the operation modes such as three steps, that is, a start-up, steady operation and closing process. All control valves for the three steps operate in an automatic way.

The latest cars give much importance in the role of HVAC system that controls the environment of the area for passengers more than just basic capability. In this study, we drew the automobile interior as three dimension and arranged a method of numerical analysis on HVAC environment in the automobile interior displaying air current distribution and temperature distribution through simulation of the automobile interior on the ventilation volume and outlet area. The aim of this study is to develop the estimated method for HVAC environment in the automobile interior. Results of numerical analysis, to cool automobile interior needs more considerations if thinking cheerful surroundings of automobile interior air but the more magnitude of outlet is small, the more cooling capability is excellent and realistic countermeasures about a realistic geometry and boundary condition.

A Series of experiments are performed to investigate the heat transfer characteristics of sintered metal wick heat pipe especially focusing on the operational limit of maximum allowable thermal loads and the effect of inclination slope. Tested heat pipes are composed of copper tube with pure water as a working fluid. The outer diameter of the heat pipe is 6mm and the total length is 300mm, which covers the evaporator section(50mm), adiabatic section(100mm) and condenser section(150mm). respectively. Experimental data of wall temperature distribution along the axial locations are obtained to evaluate the performance of the heat pipe at different slopes. Each test is performed by changing the input thermal loads ranging from 5W to 30W.

본 연구는 여러 가지 문화재 보존영역 중 개방된 고분의 장기보존을 위한 최적 공기 조화 시스템의 개발을 목표로 하여 수행되었다. 고분의 장기보존을 위해서는 고분 내 공기조성, 온ㆍ습도 및 기류환경을 모니터하여 고분내 자연 실내환경의 기초자료를 확보한 수 고분의 주 구성요소인 석재 및 전재의 보조측면에서 문제점을 검토하여 최적 유지환경조건을 정의하고, 이상의 요구조건을 실현할 수 있는 공조시스템의 적용이 필요하다. 본 논문은 이 중 모형고분에 적용된 공조시스템의 동계운전성능에 대하여 소개한다.

In recent years the importance of the preservation of cultural artifacts like ancient tombs has been widely accepted domestically and internationally as the quality of life improves. However, not much attention has been paid for the facilities and systems to preserve those artifacts. Researchers have recently begun addressing the above issue and developing suitable system for the tomb conservation in Republic of Korea. In the present study, an duct-type HVAC system for a tomb (D×W×H=1.3m×3.0m×1.2m) was installed to maintain suitable indoor conditions for conservation of tomb. The temperature, humidity and condensed water inside the tomb are measured to estimate the dehumidification loads while the temperature and the humidity inside the tombs were maintained during the rainy season.

Although the importance of good conservation of historic sites including ancient royal tombs is well aware, still not much attention has been paid for the facilities and systems to preserve those historic sites, which includes precious artifacts as wall paints and carved works, etc. Even the general understanding about the environment of the underground space of tombs is not satisfactory. In Korea, researchers have recently begun addressing the above issue and are making efforts to develop suitable HVAC(heating, ventilating and air-conditioning) systems for conservation of tombs. An experimental investigation was carried out to study the behavior of the HVAC system installed for a tomb. This tomb resembles in size and shape the original stone built tomb of Baek-je Dynasty, which dates back to 6th Century in southwest part of Korean peninsula. In this study, an HVAC system for a tomb(D×W×H=1.3m×3.0m×1.2m) was installed to maintain sui표 indoor conditions for conservation of tomb. The temperature and humidity inside the tomb were measured different of the setting. Finally, performance of the HVAC system is presented and discussed.

문화재적 가치를 지닌 고분의 장기보존을 위하여 고분보존용 공조시스템을 개발할 목적으로 공조시스템을 적용한 고분내부의 실내환경 자료를 확보하고자 공조시스템을 적용한 실물고분을 제작하고, 온·습도 및 공조기의 실내기에 의한 진동수준을 측정하고 검토하였다. 외기의 상대습도가 그다지 높지않은 4월중의 온·습도 측정결과 고분 내부의 온·습도변화는 희망제어조건(온도 22±1oC와 상대습도 55±3%)을 다소 초과하는 것으로 나타났다. 운전중 실내기에 의한 진동측정 결과 교통 혹은 기계진동에 의한 문화재 및 기타 진동예민구조물에 대한 스위스 규정보다는 크게 낮은 결과를 얻었으나, 취약건물/문화재 등 주요구조물에 관한 독일규격(DIN4150)에 정하는 무진동 상태를 만족시키지는 못하는 것으로 나타났다.
