Considering the domestic construction investment reduction since 2009 and forecasting continuous decrease of the construction investment from the economic growth, gradual downturn of the domestic construction investment can be expected near future. Thus, it is a critical period to invigorate the construction industry with government, industry, institution, and university. If OECD is applied, the construction investment compared to GDP appears a gradual decreasing trend with the economic growth. For countries with greater than $30,000 GDP per person, percentage of the construction investment is reported as approximately 11 percent of GDP. Since Korea is in a similar statement, the construction industry system from a exemplary advanced country should be carefully considered. Especially in the construction sector that strive for an invigoration of the construction industry, a cooperation from government, industrial world, academic field, and research institute is required to achieve the establishment of the virtuous circle, improvement of techniques and productivity with ICT and the integration of building techniques, advancing to the international construction market, and securing the competitiveness with the perceptible R&D technical development investment. Therefore, government’s proactive R&D investment can be a turning point of the invigoration of the construction industry.
Rapid environmental changes and continuous economic growth made the nation to focus on conserving the global environment and improving the quality of life. Moreover, Korea challenged to create the turning point for becoming the center of world. Based on the sympathy and understanding from the nation, securing the national competitiveness of the constant technology development in the global market will be the foundation of developing the creative economy. For this purpose, devoted interest and effort is required from government, university, research facility, and company. In the high value market, independence of the domestic architectural technology (design, engineering and construction) will perform the centric role on the nationwide development in the science technology and production of profits. Especially, through the fusion technology development of the traditional smaller business, revolutionary improvement on productivity may be achieved. Low payment of the global market competitiveness in the least developed country can be recovered. Also, through preoccupancy of creative ICT (Information and Communications Technology) fusion advanced technology, can secure the technology competitiveness in the field of highly valued technology. Moreover, based on the productivity and technical skills of smaller architectural business, significant increase of employment can be performed with practical characteristics of smaller architectural business since the opportunity to reach out worldwide market has increased. Therefore, fusion technology development of the architecture field and wellestablished Korean ICT in global market will secure future global competitiveness and be the significant source of the development for becoming the advanced country.
