Purpose: In Korea, KoKo dosimetry and Aerosol Provocation System (APS) are used in the methacholine provocation test (MBPT). In this study, three protocols of the MBPT were compared. Methods: In patients showing a positive MBPT using short 2-concentration methods for APS with cumulative provocative doses of methacholine which results in a 20% fall in forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV<sub>1</sub>) (PD<sub>20</sub>) ≤ 962.81, the MBPT was repeated, using 14-breaths methods for APS. In them, PD<sub>20</sub> of those 2 protocols were compared to each other. Provocative concentration of methacholine which results in a 20% fall in FEV<sub>1</sub> (PC<sub>20</sub>) in 14-breaths methods was also compared with that of 5-breaths methods in other patients showing a positive MBPT with KoKo dosimettry during the study period. Results: The positive rate in short 2-concentration methods was 18.1% (43 of 238), while that in 5-breaths methods was 14.0% (6 of 43). They were not different from each other (P=0.342). In 7 patients who underwent the MBPT twice, using short 2-concentration and subsequent 14-breaths methods. The median of PD<sub>20</sub> with a positive MBPT using short 2-concentration methods was 573.8 ㎍ with interquartile range (IQR) of 147.8-682.3 ㎍, whereas that in repeated MBPT using 14-breaths methods was 526.4 ㎍ (IQR, 95.0-907.1 ㎍). They did not differ from each other (P=0.735). The median of PC<sub>20</sub> in MBPT using 14-breaths methods was 4.76 mg/mL (IQR, 0.066-10.3 mg/mL) tended to be higher than that in other 6 patients who showed a positive MBPT using 5-breaths methods, 1.95 mg/mL (IQR, 0.42-4.85 mg/mL), but it was not significant (P=0.534). Conclusion: Bronchial hyperresponsiveness was not different in 3 protocols of MBPT.

Toxocariasis is an infection in a human host caused by Toxocara canis. Most human infections occur in younger persons who eat dirt containing embryonated eggs or larvae in raw or uncooked foods, particularly raw liver. Toxocariasis can produce various clinical manifestations associated with hypereosinophila and eosinophilic infiltration into the internal organs in the form of abscess or granuloma. We report the case of a 63-year-old man with hypereosinophilia caused by Toxocara infection, who had a history to eat raw ostrich liver 6 months before. He had general weakness and weight loss after ingestion of raw ostrich liver and was then referred to our hospital for the evaluation of hematologic malignancies because he had hypereosinophilia, anemia and a reversed albumin-globulin (A/G) ratio. Toxocara infection was confirmed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for Toxocara canis. He was treated with albendazole for 2 weeks and was discharged from the hospital without any complications. At the 4 month and 1 year follow-up visits, his clinical symptoms improved, the total eosinophil counts were markedly reduced, and the A/G ratio. The recent game products enjoyable with exercise are a good response from consumers. In this paper, arcade-type game is designed and implemented by utilizing the tangible game technologies. Firstly, 3D modeled virtual environment constructed by using 3D Max is introduced to the game space, and game program is made in order to execute through characters point of view. Secondly, by using these kinds of 3D model, game are implemented based on Unity 3D game engine, and synchronization system for detecting display position is designed using infrared sensor. Based on the game scenario, the prototype is completed and the level check of the game is also performed. Finally the finished game prototype is produced.
국내 성인 알레르겐 감작률과 Geographic Information System 기반 공간분석을 활용한 지역별 감작률 연구

Purpose: To evaluate allergen sensitization in Koreans and assess regional differences in it using Geographic Information System (GIS)-based modeling techniques. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed multiple allergen simultaneous test (MAST) results collected from 2,017 clinics and hospitals nationwide between 2018 and 2020. The AdvanSureTM AlloScreen (LG Chem, Seoul, Korea) was used to test for 47 allergens. Then, we created maps to visualize the sensitization prediction rate by using the ordinary kriging method. Results: The total number of participants were 196,419; 104,371 (53.1%) were sensitized to one or more allergens. The most frequent allergen causing sensitization was Dermatophagoides farinae (34.0%), followed by Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (32.3%), house dust (26.2%), cat dander (13.6%), Acarus siro (12.5%), rye grass pollen (8.8%), and birch tree pollen (8.2%), respectively. Perennial allergens, such as mites and cat dander, were more common than seasonal allergens. Sensitization rates to grasses were generally higher than those to tree and weed allergens. The sensitization rates to Hymenoptera venoms were 4.8% in honey bee and 2.2% in yellow jacket. The sensitization prediction rate against Dermatophagoides farinae calculated by GIS-based mapping showed geographical differences even within the same administrative district. Conclusion: Dermatophagoides farinae and Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus were found to be the most prevalent sensitizing allergens throughout Korea. GIS-based spatial pattern analysis using MAST revealed different sensitization patterns between geographic areas and at the subdistrict level. These data could assist in prevention and management of allergic diseases and provide valuable evidence for environmental and public health policymakers. (Allergy Asthma Respir Dis 2023;11:135-143)

Allergen-specific immunotherapy (AIT) can alter the natural course of an allergic disease. It is widely held that the efficacy of a given therapeutic modality should be proven by well-designed double-blind placebo-controlled randomized clinical trials and meta-analyses. In this article, the therapeutic efficacy of AIT for allergic respiratory diseases, such as allergic rhinitis and asthma, is reviewed. In addition, potential clinical and experimental predictors of the treatment response are reviewed for AITs requiring long-term treatment, and for some allergic rhinitis and asthma patients who show no response to AIT. In general, various types of contents which are producted by Flash are usually formed of two dimension. Although Flash is not originally a program for producing a game, many kinds of methods are released owing to add the powerful action script. And research for producing a 3D products are on going to the future. But, now, this approach is new as well as initial stage, there are some technical problems bring in the fields of 3D game and animation. Consequently, in order to overcome this problems, by using 3D MAX tool, an effective 3D representation method which is better than Flash-based is proposed in this paper.

This is a basic study to analysis the accomplishment of North Korea`s academic after the division of Korean peninsula and it aims to investigate the characteristics and system of academic classification. The system of academic classification is changeable by the situation of the times and it has the national distinctiveness. Because of these features, the system of academic classification is not standardized and it does not have a unity. Therefore, this study analyses the actual condition of classification by education and studying for investigating the system of academic classification. That is, the model of the system of academic classification which is suggested in this study is the result of investigating the actual condition of the classification by dept. of Univ. and research institutes, the lexical concept of document classification and types of academic degree, and the classification by evaluating the accomplishment of academic. As a result of examining logicality of the model and drawing the characteristics, first, the system of academic classification of North Korea divides science into natural science and social science and it regards human sciences as a part of social science. Second, it classifies social science into 14 groups; Juche philosophy, revolution history, philosophy, the historical science, archeology, folklore, the ethno classics, economics, law, politics, linguistics, the science of literature, pedagogy, military science. Third, it has an academic approach to the problem of ideology and leader. Fourth, it does not have various academic fields and its own academic field in many parts. In short, the character of the regime is reflected in the system of academic classification of North Korea.
