해양오염에서 지속가능한 환경에너지공학으로 - KOSMEE의 발자취 -

1995년 여수 앞바다에서 발생한 씨프린스호 유조선 좌초사고는 1996년 해양수산부의 발족과 1997년 한국해양환경공학회의 창립을 가져왔다. 당시 환경에 대한 관심은 기름유출사고가 그 중심에 위치해 있었으며 환경유체라는 용어도 활발히 쓰이기 시작했다. 21세기에 접어들며 전세계적으로 지구온난화 문제가 대두되었고 저탄소, 탄소제로라는 개념이 등장하기 시작했고, 환경문제는 에너지 문제와는 때어낼 수 없는 밀접한 관계가 있음도 공감하게 되었다. 지속가능한 해양환경보전과 개발이라는 해양환경공학의 핵심개념도 자연스레 해양환경. 에너지 공학으로 확대되면서 우리 학회도 2013년 학회명을 현재의 명칭으로 바꾸게 되었다. 본 발표에서는 1998년부터 2020년까지 23년 동안의 학술발표와 학회지 논문 실적을 바탕으로 학회의 발자취를 살펴보고 미래로의 방향을 살펴보고자 한다. Sea Prince accident off the coast of Yeosu in 1995 led to the inauguration of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in 1996 and the establishment of the Korean Society for Marine Environmental Engineering (KOSMEE) in 1997. At that time, interest in the environment was at the center of the oil spill accident, and the term environmental fluid began to be actively used. In the 21st century, global warming problems emerged around the world, and the concept of low carbon and carbon-zero began to emerge, and it was also recognized that environmental problems have an inextricably close relationship with energy problems. As the core concept of marine environmental engineering, such as sustainable marine environment conservation and development, naturally expanded to marine environment and energy engineering, the name of our society was changed to its current name in 2013. In this presentation, based on the achievements of academic presentations and journal papers for 23 years from 1998 to 2020, we will look at the footsteps of the society and look into the future direction.
