The concrete structures are hardly ever built under ideal conditions, So many defects may occur for a various reasons such as unsuitable and defective materials, construction methods, poor workmanship, particular structural form and prevailing weather conditions. Some structural form can greatly increase the risk of occurrence of defects. Therefore we investigated the actual condition of the deterioration factors for reinforced concrete apartment, which was composed of 85 apartments with various building ages in different regions regions with five evaluation items. It is the aim of this study to analyze and evaluate the deterioration factors of apartment building to establish the overall evaluation system of deterioration degree for reinforced concrete apartment in Korea.

The external ornamentation-wall is beloved for various colors, modeling pattern, and convenience of maintenance until now, especially in school structures. But there is much to be desired for the safety and condition evaluation of the external ornamentation-wal1 in our country. So this study is to suggest the fundamental data for diagnosis and cause assumption of deterioration by introducing the diagnosis example and adjusting deterioration cause for the external ornamentation-wall.

Concrete structures are damaged by the corrosion of reinforcing bars due to chlorides in concrete, when sea sand is used in concrete, or when concrete structure is located at near by the coastline. Therefore, it is the aim of this study to develop the technic of using coating type corrosion inhibitor to improve durability of salt damaged concrete and to fix this repair method in our country.

It is difficult to estimate for deterioration of exterior wall by infrared thermography, because of amount of infrared-ray radiation effected by environmental factors such as temperature properties of materials, the outside air and the amount of solar radiation. Therefore we measured the distribution of temperature by times in the same reinforced-concrete structure in order to reduce problems, occasioned by environmental factors, then we analyzed physical influence factors of the infrared thermography. It is the aim of this study to suggest basic data with regard to development of evaluation-system for deterioration of exterior wall in reinforced-concrete structures.

Until now, the policy of house has become careless in keeping and management according to being inclined to construction and supply. Because the data of keeping and management for apartments are few, the judgement of deterioration trend for apartments in domestic environmental is difficult. Therefore we investigated the actual condition of the deterioration factors for reinforced concrete apartments, and evaluated deterioration degree, which was established according to reference, for those. It is the aim of this study to analyze and evaluate the deterioration factors of apartment building to establish the overall evaluation system of deterioration degree for reinforced concrete apartment.
기존 철근콘크리트조 아파트의 노早도 평가에 의한 내구성 및 내구수명 검토에 관한 연구

The results of the prediction on remaining life by using cover depth and carbonation velocity and the application to evaluation system of deterioration by using non-destructive method and destructive method intended for the exiting reinforced concrete apartment which has been built for 18 years in Tae-Jeon are as follow. - It is found out that the formula of carbonation velocity is X=0.319√t in outdoor, X=0.574√t in indoor, X=0.323√t in basement. Therefore, the carbonation velocity of indoor is faster than that of Kishitani, which is X=0.372√t(w=0.6, R=1), but the carbonation velocity in outdoor and basement is similar to that in Kishitani. - As the result of the remaining-life investigation on the reinforced concrete apartment, the probability of reinforcing-steel corrosion is over 15% in indoor, outdoor and basement when it have been about 50 years therefore the remaining life of the examined apartment is semipermanent.

With the infrared thermography, the defect such as void and honeycomb of exteria wall can be shown easily. Especially by selecting the weathering condition, it becomes easier to identify defect than with original image. It is the aim of this study to suggest foundation data for application enlargement of infrared thermography as introducing investigation results and problems for building finished with tile by infrared thermography.

The reinforced concrete structures were once belived to have permanent durability. However, it is now spoiled by durability failure caused by the corrosion of embeded steel reinforcement, salt, a1ka11-aggregate reaction and carbonation attack recently, carbonation has been also spreading. Therefore, it is the aim of this study to introduce the repair system with impregnating alkalization agent for the concrete structure by durability failure caused carbonation and fire, and to fix this repair system in our country according to showing the example of application.

The concrete structures are spoiled by durability failure caused by the corrosion of embeded steel reinforcement, salt, alkali-aggregate reaction and carbonation attack. It is the aim of this study to introduce the repair and reinforcement system to improve durability of the concrete structure by durability failure caused carbonation and tire, to examine efficieny on alkalizing penetrants and corrosion inhibitor in using materias of repair.

The Reinforced concrete structure is deteriorated rapidly by the salt damage, carbonation, frost action, alkali-silica reaction, chemical attack and etc. Since numerous physical and chemical causes of deterioration are simultaneously and complexly at work, so, it is the most important to cut off the mechanisms of deterioration in order to prevent serious deterioration in reinforced concrete structure. But in case of chemical attack, they appear not to occur frequently. So there is not so much investigation about chemical attack and repair system. Therefore, it is the aim of this study to suggest elementary data for the reinforced concrete structure deteriorated by the chemical attack.
