        Arthroscopic Control for Safe and Secure Seating of Suspensory Devices for Femoral Fixation in Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction Using Three Different Techniques

        purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of our technique that allows direct visualization of seating of suspensory devices in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Materials and Methods: Three different suspensory devices (TightRope RT, RetroButton, and EndoButton) were used in ACL reconstruction using 3 different techniques (outside-in, anteromedial [AM] portal, and transtibial techniques). Positioning of a guiding material and seating pattern of the suspensory devices were evaluated according to the surgical technique and suspensory device used.results: On the transtibial technique, 21 of total 26 cases (81%) of single bundle reconstructions and 22 of total 22 cases (100%) of double bundle reconstructions required superolateral capsulotomy where buttons were found in 21 of total 21 cases (100%) and 17 of 22 cases (77%), respectively. On the AM portal technique, all patients required capsulotomy and the button was found in only 18 of total 32 cases (56%) even after capsulotomy. On the outside-in technique, all patients required capsulotomy and the button was found in 86 of total 86 cases (100%).conclusions: Our technique for direct visualization of seating of the suspensory devices was more effective in outside-in and single bundle transtibial ACL reconstruction. However, it was less effective in double bundle transtibial and AM portal ACL reconstructions.

        The increasing price and shortage of Petroleum Pointed out a need for a cheaper and readily available substitute fuel for curing tobaccos. This experiment was aimed to develop a new curing system which will employ chaff, instead of Petroleum, as fuel. For this purpose, a new curing system has been developed and tested at 3 locations of Suweon, Eumseong, and Daegu Tobacco Experiment Station. The quality of cured leaves by chaff-used barn did not differ from that of Petroleum- used barn. The fuel cost for chaff-used barn was as little as 17-18% of that in the other barn with petroleum.

      • 잎담배의 적심시기와 정도에 따른 엽중 비휘발성유기산 및 지방산의 함량변화

        This study was conducted to investigate the influence of the topping time and height on the nonvolatile organic and higher fatty acid contents and the correlation among acid contents of tobacco plants. Within the topping time, the flowering (normal) stage of topping was the lowest in total analyzed acid (TAA), total nonvolatile organic acid (TNOA) and magic acid contents of NC2326, however, the highest in those of Burley 21 on 30 days after budding. Total higher fatty acid (THFA) and linoleic acid contents tended to be low with normal stage of topping. The lower the topping height, the lower the TAA, THFA and linoleic acid contents in middle and upper leaves (or NC2326 and Burley 21 were observed. On the other hand, the lower the topping height, the lower the TNOA and malic acid contents in middle and upper leaves for Burley 21 and upper leaves for NC2326 were found. There was a significant positive correlation between magic acid and TNOA contents. Similarly, TAA content showed a significant positive correlation with TNOA, oxalic acid and citric acid contents. But there was a negative correlation between malic acid and THFA contents. There were highly positive correlations among oleic acid, linoleic acid and THFA contents, respectively.

        The metabolic enzymes, nitrate reductase, amylase and peroxidase and the Photorespiratory enzyme, Slycolate oxidise in Nicotiana tabacum varieties were studied at various growth stages. The enzyme activities of young leaves with rapid growth were different from those of old ones with stationary growth. In young leaves, activity of nitrate reductase was higher than that in mature ones and amylase activity was fairly constant in all stages. Activities of glycolate oxidise and peroxidase were found to be significantly lower in young leaves than in mature ones. Activity of glycolate oxidase in mature middle leaves was 2.45 times higher than that of young ones and inhibited by 36% when the enzyme was treated with 0.16 mM isonicotinic hydrazide.

        우리나라 담배 세균성마름병균(입고병균 : Pseudomonas solanacearum)의 Race와 Biochemical Type

        [ 1980-1981 ]년 사이에 전국의 14개 주요 담배 재배지역으로부터 채집, 분리한 담배 세균성마름병균(Pseudomonas solanacearum)의 가지, 토마토, 고추, 감자 및 담배에 대한 병원성반응을 조사한 결과, race 1 및 race 2에 속하였으며 또한 이 균주들의 생리적 특성 15종을 조사한 결과 biochemical type 1과 4로 판명되었다. Fourteen isolates of Pseudomonas solanarearum virulent to tobacco cultivars were selected among isolates obtained from tobacco plants shelving wilt symptoms throughout the country during . The fourteen isolates were classified into two races based on reactions in eggplant, tomato, red pepper, potato and tobacco, and also classified into biochemical type 1 and type 4 according to physiological characteristics.

        잎담배 세균성마름병(立枯病)의 防除體系에 關한 研究

        [ 1982-1983 ]년 사이에 한국인삼연초연구소 음성시험장의 세균성마름병 상습발병포지에서 이 병의 방제체계 확립을 위해 시험한 결과 1. 세균성마름병은 세균증식에 적합한 온도와 토양습도가 주어진 7월하순8월하순에 가장 큰 피해를 나타냈으며 토양훈증제처리구 및 저항성품종재배구에서는 병발생이 적고 느리게 나타낮다. 2. 세균성마름병의 방제효과는 감수성품종인 NC23 26에 비하여 저항성품종인 NC82의 무처리재배의 경우 의 방제효과를 보았으며 토양훈증제처리에 저항성품종인 NC82를 재배 할 경우 의 방제효과를 보았다. 경종적처리에서는 무처리재배에 비하여 로 낮게 나타났으며 저항성품종이나 토양훈증제를 함께 사용 할 경우 그 상승효과는 거의 인정되지 않았다. 3. 세균성마름병의 종합적인 방제체계확립은 경종적처리(춘추경, 잔간근제거, 조기이식, 피복물제거)에 토양훈증(Cylon)를 10a당 40l 토양관주한 후 저항성 품종(NC82)을 재배할 때 이상의 방제효과를 거둘 수 있었다. This experiment was carried out to investigate control efficacy by cultural practice and fumigation of tacterial wilt caused by Pseudomonas solancearum in resistant tobacco line NC82 at the Korea Ginseng and Tobacco Research Institute, Eumseong Experiment Station in 1982 and 1983. The bacterial wilt of tobacco occurred severely from mid-July to last August in applicable temperature and soil humidity for increasing bacteria. Disease severity appeared low and slowly at fumigation and resistant variety treatment. Incidence of bacterial wilt in tobacco line NC82 was being compared with susceptible variety, NC2326 and when resistant variety, NC32 was cultivated with soil fumigation treatment. Control efficacy of cultural practices appeared low with and was not different from resistant variety and fumigation treatment. Control system against bacterial wilt in flue-cured tobacco was accomplished by control efficacy over when resistant variety(NC82) was cultured after treatment of cultural practices (Tillering after harvest and before transplanting, stalk and root destruction, early transplanting early removal of the mulching film) and soil fumigation(Cylon).
