A wireless intraocular (IOP) pressuresensor based on micro electro mechanical system(MEMS) technology is proposed. The proposed IOPsensor uses variable inductance according to theexternal pressure. The proposed sensor is composedof two flexible membranes: a ferrite bottom part, aninductor, and a capacitor. The inductance of thesensor varies according to the external pressure. Theresonance frequency of the sensor is also varied, andthis frequency is detected using an external coil. Theexternal coil is designed with an FR-4 printed circuitboard. The feasibility of the proposed sensor structureusing variable inductance to detect the externalpressure is successfully demonstrated.

One of the key issues in the era of localization in Korea is how to establish economic development plan and how to implement established economic development plan to cope with unlimited competitive era which has been developed through 1990s. Four years have passed since local autonomy was initiated in Korea, but not many things were changed compared with the centralizing government system. The aim of this paper is to build up a model of regional economic development for local governments in the era of localization through informationization. There should be some differences in desirable regional economic development policies for each local government, but a very basic model was built in this paper. Three strategies such as enhancement of competetive power for the local industries, informationization of the local economic entities, and fostering of small and medium sized industries were suggested as factors for inner economic structure and one outer factor such as governmental supporting and implementing system, which makes economy going smooth, was recommended in this paper.

Science and research parks are major tools around the world in regional development for those areas which have excellent engineering schools or research institutes or good quality of life. This paper aims to establish development models for science and research parks. Establishing development models for science and research parks means to find out ways which have high probability of success in building and operating science and research parks. Three types of development models were established in this paper such as model for new parks, model for unvitalized parks and model for converted science and research parks from traditional industrial parks. Five development strategies were suggested for new science and research parks. Desirable types of site development, operating organization type, and key points were suggested in each development strategy for new parks. In case of unvitalized parks, four strategies were suggested based on solving the major problems each park has. A few roles were proposed to be located in converted science and research parks.

Recently, several breast surgeons have reported a new method for sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) by using indocyanine green (ICG) with infrared camera. This study aimed to determine whether the lymph nodes (LNs) with ICG uptake are true SLNs and to assess the reliability of using only ICG for SLNB. Data were prospectively collected between April and September 2021. All palpable LNs were fat-trimmed and ordered from high to low signal of the gamma detector. The degree of radioisotope uptake and brightness of ICG staining of the axillary LNs detected with a fluorescent camera were compared and associated factors were analyzed. Discordance was defined as sentinel LNs (SLNs) showing a single uptake of radioisotope or fluorescence of ICG only, or when the orders of uptake and intensity degree were different between the 2 materials. A total of 79 SLNBs were performed on 78 patients with breast cancer. The breast cancer was classified as cTis-2N0-1. The discordance rate was 14/79 (17.7%) overall and 45/270 (16.7%) of the total retrieved axillary LNs. The first SLNs showed the lowest discordance rate of 6.3%, whereas the second and third SLNs showed higher discordance rates of 27.6% and 60.0%, respectively. There were no associated clinicopathologic factors that affected the discordance between uptake of radioisotope and fluorescence intensity of ICG. The use of ICG alone for SLNB may be insufficient because of the high discordance rates between radioisotopes and ICG uptake. However, the first SLN could be cautiously regarded as a true SLN.

본 논문은 한국에서의 지방분권 및 분산화 현상을 지방재정과 지역 경제의 관점에서 분석되었다. 지방자치 실시를 위해 지방세 체계의 조정과 지방조정재원 제도의 개선으로 중앙정부와 지방정부간의 수직적 불평등과 지방자치 단체간의 수평적 불평등은 다소 감소되었으나 아직도 매우 미흡한 상태에 있다. 지역경제의 활성화를 통하여 서울의 인구를 지방으로 분산하기 위하여 지방에 입지하는 제조업체에 대해서는 공장부지의 조성, 사회간접 시설의 제공, 조세감면 등의 정착이 실시되었으며, 그 결과 동남 해안지역과 서울 주변 지역으로 다수의 제조업체가 입지하게 되었다. 개략적으로 보면 지방재정은 미흡하지만 상당한 정도 분권화가 추진되었으나 지역경제는 행정·경영의 중추기능이 여전히 서울에 있고 지역은 자금·기술 등에서 영세하기 때문에 지방분산이 효과적으로 발생하지 못하고 있다 하겠다.
