교대근무 간호사의 정신신체사회적 문제에 대한 연구

        강범모,양창국,Kang, Beom-Mo,Yang, Chang-Kook 대한수면의학회 1999 수면·정신생리 Vol.6 No.1

Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine the impact of shift work on psychological, physical and social adjustment in nurses. Methods: Two hundred ninety-nine female nurses(179 shift worker, 120 non-shift worker) filled out a questionnaire, which consisted of fifty-six items including demographic characteristics. Subjective ratings of psychological, physical, social and sleeprelated distresses were assessed with a visual analogue scale(100mm). Results: Shift work exerted significantly negative impacts on all psychological, physical, social and sleep-related variables of the shift work nurses. The subjective perception about psychological and physical health of shift work nurses was significantly negative as compared to that of non-shift work nurses. Shift work nurses complained of more shift work related social dysfunction and limited social activity. Shift work nurses were also suffering from significant sleep difficulties as compared to non-shift work nurses. Conclusions: This study suggests that shift work can exert a negative impact on psychological and physical health of nurses as it can cause disturbances of the normal circadian rhythms of the psychophysiological functions, beginning with the sleep-wake cycle. Shift work can also cause difficulties in maintaining the usual relationships both at family and social levels. These results may suggest that we need appropriate coping strategies to overcome adverse effects of shift work.

        텍스트 맥락과 단어 의미: 잠재의미분석

        강범모(Beom-mo Kang) 사단법인 한국언어학회 2014 언어학 Vol.0 No.68

Context is a key factor in semantic interpretation for many cases, including deixis and quantification. The meaning of content words (nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs) also depend on the textual context (Firth 1957). Recently with the development of corpus linguistics some efforts have been made to realize the above idea in a concrete way. Among others, Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA) tries to calculate the meaning distance between words by means of their occurrence in context, namely paragraphs. In this paper we outline the method of LSA and apply it to the Korean Sejong Corpus. Also we get collocates of words (t-scores) and compare them with the results of LSA. It turns out that both LSA and collocation reveal cognitive semantic structures of words, but the former (with some limitations of the method) in a more direct way than the latter. Finally we touch on the issues of mental structure, semantic network, and semantic change.

통사적 사역 구문과 어휘적 사역 구문의 의미

강범모(Beom-mo Kang) 사단법인 한국언어학회 2021 언어학 Vol.- No.89

This paper examines the meanings of syntactic and lexical causative constructions in Korean. Two syntactic constructions [V-ge hada] and [V-ge mandeulda] are compared with two lexical constructions [V-{i}da] and [N-sikida]. The method is distinctive collexeme analysis, which is based on the occurrences of words in a construction. The corpus used in this study is the Sejong Korean Corpus (about 15,000,000 words). The result shows that, when compared with both [V-ge hada] and [V-ge mandeulda] constructions, the [V-{i}da] construction has the causative effects that are mainly events (verbs), not states (adjectives), In contrast, the effects of the [V-ge hada] and [V-ge mandeulda] constructions are mainly states (adjectives). Particularly, the [V-ge mandeulda] construction"s effects are usually negative. The [N-sikida] construction, compared with the syntactic causative constructions, shows that its effects are usually 1) (gradual) increase or decrease of quantity or degree, 2) instantaneous events (ie. achievements), and 3) events with one argument semantic role (intransive Vs). In contrast, the effects of the [V-ge hada] construction are mental attitudes and events of saying. The effects of the [V-ge mandeulda] are negative situations. Overall, of the lexical causative constructions, the [N-sikida] construction is more restrictive than the [V-{i}da] construction with respect to causative effects.

        남성과 여성 발화의 어휘적 차이

강범모(Beom Mo Kang) 한국어학회 2013 한국어학 Vol.58 No.-

The present paper seeks to find lexical differences of men and women in spoken utterances on the basis of a spoken Korean corpus composed of 350 thousand words. First, a new interpretation, based on formality, is given to the result of a previous experiment (Han and Kang 2009). Next, new experiments of automatically classifying a set of utterances as men`s or women`s are conducted. The success rates are as high as 80%. In the meantime, by way of chi-square statistic some characteristic words of either men or women can be listed. The list itself is an interesting linguistic observation, which are interpreted in various ways including semantic prosody. When we use only small number of words showing most prominent gender characteristics, the success rates of the discrimination experiments are not lowered compared with the case when we take all the words into account. The results show that considering only small number of gender-oriented words is enough (even better) for identifying male or female utterances.

의미론에서 "의미"와 관련된 용어들의 개념과 번역어

        강범모 ( Beom Mo Kang ) 한국언어정보학회 2011 언어와 정보 Vol.15 No.1

Some terms related to "meaning" in semantics are reviewed, particularly those used in Lyons` famous semantics book Semantics 1 and Semantics 2 (Cambridge University Press, 1977). Since Lyons` book is so comprehensive that the semantic terms used in that book cover almost every important notions/terms used in contemporary semantics. With relevant interpretation of the terms, we suggest most appropriate Korean translations, trying to give different translations for different English terms. Terms covered include: ``signify, signification; reference/refer/referent, sense; denotation/denote, connotation/connote; extension, intension; implication/imply, implicature/implicate, entailment/entail; designate, demonstrate/demonstrative``.

명사 빈도의 변화, 사회적 관심의 트렌드

        강범모(Beom-mo Kang),김홍규(Heunggyu Kim) 사단법인 한국언어학회 2011 언어학 Vol.0 No.61

Words reflect man"s current interest because man talks about things which is important to him and others around him. Words in the newspapers are more so because newspaper articles report and discuss the current (often yesterday’s) things of social interests, which constitute social trends. In this paper, we investigate nouns in the Trends 21 Corpus[2000-2009], a large collection of all the texts in the four major Korean daily newspapers published from 2000 through 2009 (size: c. 400 million words). First, we discuss the importance of nouns in newspaper texts and the meaning of usage frequencies as showing social interests and trends. Then, we analyze words of most rapid increase and words of most rapid decrease in frequencies. As research methods, we use Mann-Kendall trends tests and regression analysis. Finally, we briefly compare our approach with other recent frequency-based trend analyses including Daum Communications" and Google’s.
