BF 방법을 이용한 EX Leo의 시선속도 추정

We present the result of radial velocity observation of a W UMa type binary star EX Leo. We observed the star on February 16, 2003, using Long-Slit spectrograph of BOAO(Bohyunsan Optical Astronomical Observatory). Since the spectral lines are broad due to its fast rotation, it is difficult to distinguish two radial velocities from cross correlation function. Instead of cross correlation function, we used broadening function to develop our own code which estimate the radial velocity of the broadened line spectra. With our own code, radial velocities of primary and secondary stars are derived simultaneously. From the radial velocity curve fit, we obtained $K_1=50.24{\pm}8.29km/s$ and $K_2=254.05{\pm}20.984km/s$ respectively.

동계 및 하계전정이 남부하이부쉬 블루베리 ‘Misty’의 수체 생육과 과실의 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향

This study was conducted to determine the effects of winter and summer pruning on bush growth,yield, and fruit quality in the six-year-old southern highbush blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum L. hybrid) ‘Misty’. We compared the effects of winter pruning alone and winter + summer pruning afterharvest treatments to unpruned plant controls. The fruits were harvested at eight times during theexperiment and the fruit yield, unmarketable fruit yield [decayed berries and small size fruit (width< 10 mm)], and berry weight were recorded at each harvest. Further, fruit quality parameters forharvested fruits such as soluble solids content (SSC), titratable acidity (TA), firmness, total sugar,total phenolic content, and total anthocyanin content were measured four times after harvest. Moreover, the SPAD value was measured along the plant height; the fresh weight and the ratio ofshoot to root volume (T/R) were measured to verify the effects of pruning on vegetative growth. TheSPAD values of the lower bush leaves on unpruned blueberry bushes were significantly lower thanthose recorded from pruned blushes. The highest T/R ratio was observed in the bushes subjected towinter + summer pruning compared to the unpruned bushes. The fruit weight from six-year-oldsouthern highbush blueberry ‘Misty’ bushes decreased throughout the harvest period in both prunedand unpruned plants. The fruit yield of unpruned blueberry bushes rapidly increased after the 5thharvest; however, the average fruit weight of unpruned blueberry bushes was significantly lowercompared to that of pruned blueberry bushes. The considerably higher amount of unmarketable fruityields was recorded from unpruned blueberry bushes compared to the pruned bushes. The significantdifferences in measured fruit quality parameters were not observed in harvested fruits from blueberrybushes subjected to winter pruning or winter + summer pruning. The total sugar, phenolic, andanthocyanin content substantially decreased throughout the harvest period in both pruned andunpruned plants. 본 연구는 남부하이부쉬(Vaccinium corymbosum L. hybrid) 블루베리 ‘미스티’에 대한 동계전정 및 하계전정 처리에 따른수체 생육, 과실의 수량과 품질에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 실시하였다. 전정처리는 무전정, 동계전정(생장량의 30% 제거, 2월 25일), 동계전정 + 하계전정(8월 8일)을 실시하였다. 수체 내 투광도 비교를 위하여 SPAD 값과 수관부와 근권부의 생장 비교를 위해 T/R율을 측정하였으며, 과실 수량과 품질 조사를 위하여 8회에 걸쳐 과실을 수확하였고 비상품과[부패과, 소형과(직경<10mm)]와 각 수확시기의 수확량을 조사하였다. 과실 품질 지표로 경도, 가용성 고형물, 산, 총 페놀, 총 당 및 총 안토시아닌 함량을 조사하였다. 무전정 처리구의 수관 하부 잎에서는 유의적으로 낮은 SPAD 값을 나타내었고, T/R율은 동계전정 +하계전정 처리구에서 무전정과 동계전정 처리구보다 높게 조사되었다. 블루베리의 과중은 수확기 동안 지속적으로 감소하는경향을 보였다. 무전정 처리구의 경우 5번째 수확 시기 이후 수확량이 급증한 데 반해 개별 과실의 무게는 전정 처리구에 비해유의적으로 낮은 값을 보였다. 조사기간 동안 비상품 과실은 지속적으로 발생하였으나 특히 무전정 처리구에서 수확 말기까지발생량이 많았다. 각각의 전정처리에 따른 품질 지표 중 가용성 고형물 함량, 산 함량, 경도는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지않았지만, 총 페놀, 총 당 및 총 안토시아닌 함량은 모든 처리구에서 수확이 진행됨에 따라 지속적으로 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다.

Retroperitoneal Lymphangioma following Pyeloplasty in Child

A lymphangioma is a rare benign congenital tumor of the lymphatic system, resulting from the failure of lymphatic drainage into the venous system, which is due to atresia or the insufficiency of an efferent lymphatic channel. A lymphangioma usually occurs in the neck or axillary region. A retroperitoneal lymphangioma is very rare. Herein, a case of a retroperitoneal lymphangioma incidentally found four months after performing pyeloplasty on a child, is reported.

Primary localized amyloidosis of ureter is a rare benign condition radiologically, which is difficult to distinguish from ureteral malignancy. For this reason, although kicney-preserving technique is the best option, most reported cases were treated by nephroureterectomy. We report a case of primary localized amyloidosis of ureter that was misdiagnosed as ureteral tumor, and treated with nephroureterectomy. This patient has no problem so far during its 18 month-follow up.

日本의 牛肉等級制度와 價格形成에 관한 硏究

The purpose of this paper is to grasp characteristics of the beef grading system and the price-formation mechanism in Japan. The main conclusions are as follows. First, the beef carcass grading system in Japan can be characterized by marbling based on consumer's needs. That is, marbling is the main factor which determines carcass grades and prices. Secondly, it is shown that the price difference between grades is large for the upper grades and that the prices of beef carcasses are affected mostly by marbling. Then price-formation mechanism varies with the grade of quality (high and low). These results indicate that increase in supply of lower quality beef such as imported beef and dairy cattle causes decrease in prices of low grade beef. On the contrary, it causes in prices of high grade beef. Finally, the production of high quality beef centering around Wagyu beef in Japan is premised on this beef carcass grading system.
