黃浿江 단국대학교 인문대학 국어국문학과 1967 國文學論集 Vol.1 No.-
The Journal of Mi-am, by Hui-Choon Yu(Mi-am being his pseudonym), scholar of the King, Sun-jo’s period in Yi dynasty, is a diary written in the Chinese character, which recorded the personal and public facts through ten years. There is only one series of song in Korean language in the voluminous diary written in eleven volumes. Mi-am wrote the song moved by the memorandum about his loyalty as a subject ordered to be kept by the King, Sun-jo, on the day when Mi-am had completed with month-long striving Heun-Kun-Rok(Record, worthy no more than paraley, addressed to the King) and presented it to the King. On that day he, who was deadly drunken at the gate, Kyung-Hoe-Nam-Moon, with the wine, which the king had condescended to give him, came to be out of the palace aided by men and now the song. Kam-Sang-Eun-Ga, is the very song he sang impromptu on horseback leaving the palace. Until now, the only one song in Korean language ascribed to the work of Hui-Choon Yu has been the short poem, “song on presenting parsley to the king”(Heun-Kun-Ga). Kam-Sang-Eun-Ga found in the Journal of Mi-am is another short poem, extant vividly in the author’s handwriting, which has been buried among the heaps of the works in the Chinese character and consequently unknown to the world. Now we can add one more “shi-jo” of the King Sun-jo’s period before Im-ran(conflict) to the history of “shi-jo” literature. Mi-am suffered the painful exile, found guilty in consequence of being involved in the accident of the mural writing in the King, Myungjong’s period, but finally was released after the accession of the King, Sun-jo. He was in lots of favour from Sun-jo and, keeping the favour in his inward mind, expressed the loyalty to the king figuratively in terms of lovers’ affections.
