Institute Insurance Clauses of England is used over the world, and Korean Supreme Court recognized the effectiveness of the choice of law clauses in it. Therefore we must understand the law and practice of English insurance. I have given focus in English marime insurance in this theme. A total loss in insurance law is one on account of which the assured is entitled to recover from the underwriter the whole of amount of his subscription. Actual total loss was formerly called an absolute total loss. The meaning of the expression actual total loss is reasonably clear on the face of it. It is obvious that in the case of actual total loss there is no point in a notice of abandonment, whereas the notice of abandonment is a condition precedent to the right of recovery for a constructive total loss, because there is by definition nothing to abandon and accordingly an actual total loss entitles the assured to claim from the whole amount of his subscription without giving such notice.

1.8A-GeV Ar핵-원자핵건판핵 충돌에서의 파쇄현상 연구

The interaction mean free path of the 1.8A-GeV Ar in nuclear emulsion was obtained as (9±2)cm by use of the along-the-track scanning method and the average angular distributions of the secondary projectile fragments, which are compared with respect to the Kaplon's formula.

징거미새우, Macrobrachium nipponense(De Haan)의 생식소성숙 제어에 미치는 광주기와 안병의 X-organ에 관한 연구

To clarify the relations between photoperiodism and x-organ of eyestalks to the control of gonadal maturation in a freshwater prawn. Macrobrachium nipponense, the present investigation was performed with following examinations : 1) the influence of water temperature and daylength on the control of gonadal maturation, 2) the effect of eyestalk ablation on the gonadal maturation, 3) the seasonal variation of histology of MEX-organ (medulla externa X-organ) in the eyestalk. In previtellogenesis period (December∼March) and vitellogenesis period (April∼May), gonadal maturation was considerablely influenced by water temperature. In these periods, GSI increased and gonads were matured with water temperature rising without regard to photoperiod conditions (12L/12D and 15L/9D). In spawning period (June∼August), however, gonadal maturation was influenced by photoperiod condition. While high value of GSI was kept at long photoperiod regime (15L/9D), GSE was decreased at short photoperiod regime (12L/12D). In resting period (September∼November), no rematuration was occurred at all the experimental regimes combined with water temperatures (16℃, 22℃, 28℃) and photoperiod (12L/12D, 15L/9D). Effect of X-organ which inhibite the gonadal maturation was stronger in resting period than that in previtellogenesis and early spawning periods by observations on the effectiveness of eyestalk ablation on the gonadal maturation. In MEX-organ of eyestalk, the number of neurosecretory cells of which size was over 20㎛ in diameter varied according to the reproductive cycle. The number of cells increased 77±12 in resting period, and decreased 55±7 in vitellogenesis period. Volume of Bellonci's organ, however, increased in vitellogenesis period in comparison with that in resting period.

범가자미, Verasper variegatus의 생식소 발달단계에 따른 혈중 난황단백전구체 (vitellogenin)와 성 스테로이드 호르몬 변화

Annual plasma levels of vitellogenin and sex steroids were investigated in relation to the gonadal development for understanding the endocrine control of reproduction in spotted flounder, Verasper variegatus. The plasma vitellogenin level was highest, 6.36㎎/㎖, in November when vitellogenesis was most active. The level, thereafter, decreased to 3.81㎎/㎖ in December with the initiation of spawning. On the other hand, estradiol-17 β was highest, 2.7ng/㎖, in December, and rapidly decreased in January when spawning occurred. The decreased level of estradiol-17 β, around 0.2ng/㎖, remained unchanged until May. The profiles of plasma testosterone were similar to those of estradiol-17 β in the fish. The Plasma 17 α-hydroxyprogesterone level was relatively low throughout the spawning period, but increased slightly with the initiation of ovarian development. In males, the plasma testosterone and 11- ketotestosterone were highest in December when spermiation actively proceeded, but rapidly decreased during the spawning period (January).

In this article, the researching methods on nuclear emulsion of the first run of FNAL E-653 experiment are discribed. The mean free path of 800 GeV protons in nuclear emulsion is measured by means of along-the-track scanning method. The number of charged shower particles, ??, the number of heavy prongs, ??, and the angular distributions of secondary particles of the interactions are measured by the microscope, which is connected the personal computer.

テナガエビの生殖周期に關する生理學的硏究

甲殻類は魚類とならび水産上重要な位置を占め るにもかかわらず,生殖周期やその成立機構につ いて詳細に調べた報告は殆どなし、。生殖周期や生 殖機構を明らかにすることは成熟・産卵の人工制 御を目指す上で重要で、ある。そこで,テナ力、エビ (Macrobrachium niρρonense)を実験材料に用 い,まず生殖年周期を明らかにした上で,その成 立機構を明らかにした。さらに卵黄蛋自の精製を 行い,酵素免疫測定法(ELISA)による卵黄蛋白 前駆物質(ビテロジェニン)定量システムを確立 し,産卵周期における血中ビテロジェニンの経時 的変動を調べるとともに免疫組織化学的手法によ りその産生部位の同定を試みた。

A Multi-Attribute Group Decision Procedure Considering Preference Strength

This paper presents an interactive multi-attribute group decision procedure to aggregate each group member's preferences when each group member articulates his or her preference information incompletely A strength measure, an indicative for the preference strength between alternatives, is derived to support each decision maker to articulate preference information about alternatives. mathematical programing model is proposed that can establish when dominance relations preference information about utilities, attribute weights, and group member's importance weights are provided incompletely. Also, the preference relation between alternatives is to be considered in the model Considering the preference strength measure and mathematical model, we develop an interactive group decision support procedure.

생명보험에서 자살면책에 관한 연구

Life insurance contract terms provide that when the insured suicidesbeyond the free decision due to mental defection etc, the life insurer mustpay the insured money. Perhaps the chief reason why even if the suicidedefects the fortuity, the life insurer is liable for the beneficiary is theprotection of the surviving family. Life insurance practices in the mostcountries limitedly insure against the insured’s suicide similarly to Korean lifeinsurance. Recently Korean society worries about the rapid increase of the suicide,Korean suicide rate has marked the top among OECD countries. Koreangovernment has struggled to lessen the numbers of the suicide. These days Korean Insurance Research Institute has issued the researchingresult on “How the excluding period’s clause under the life insuranceimpacts on the suicide.” It concluded that the suicide rate has rapidlyincreased after the lapse of excluded period(2 years) under the life insurancecontract terms. It explains that the insureds are inclined to commit a suicideafter 2 years beginning from the concluding date of insurance contract inorder to leave insured money for surviving family. It has been widely heard that Financial Services Commission hasinternallydecided that it would prolong the excluded period from 2 years tolonger time at least. This paper aims at comparatively studying the excluded period of thesuicide, and suggesting the reform measures. The concrete suggestions are as follows. First, a plan that the scope of the suicide should be fixed to exclude thesuicide during the excluded time regardless of conscious or unconscioussuicide, can be reviewed. Second, the excluded time can be extended from current 2 years to 3years,Third, it can be researched that the suicide should be excluded all thetime. Fourth, the Korean Insurance Contract Law can be revised to explicitlyprovide the scope of the suicide. Fifth, it can be suggested that life insurance industries are able to choosethe protection scope of the suicide.
