When examining the military tactics appearing in the novel 《Romance of Three Kingdom》, it is confirmed that there are more than 50 type. These military tactics were evenly distributed from the first to 120 episodes of the novel 《Romance of Three Kingdom》. But among them, they are concentrated around a great battle, such as Battle of Guandu, Red Cliffs, and Liu Chu Qi Shan. In particular, there are more than 16 kind of military tactics in Red Cliffs. As we investigate the root and origin of the military tactics, there are many cited in the military tactics style such as the 《The Art of War》. But, the story involved idioms style military tactics derived from history, literature, and philosophy is the mainstream. In addition, when analyzing the name and type of the military tactics in the novel 《Romance of Three Kingdom》, it was unusually highly related to the military tactics manual 《Thirty-Six Stratagems》. In other words, considering that all 36 of the 54 military tactics from 《Thirty-Six Stratagems》 appear in the novel 《Romance of Three Kingdom》. It is believed that 《Thirty-Six Stratagems》 was influenced each other a lot in the compilation process of the novel 《Romance of Three Kingdom》.

“Romance of Three Kingdoms” analysis of fiction and truth is accessible from two perspectives. One is fiction and truth from a historical point of view, the other is the composition and description techniques. From a historical point of view, the key point of fiction and truth is that reconstructing content from the perspective of ‘蜀漢正統論’ and ‘擁劉貶曹’. However, ‘擁劉貶曹’ in “Romance of Three Kingdoms” was not represented in a way that only advocates liu-bei and derogates Cao-Cao. Zhuge-Liang and Guan-Yu, the follower groups of liu-bei, as well as zhang-fei and zhao-zi-long all got incidental benefits. Apart from ‘擁劉貶曹’, the literary value of “Romance of Three Kingdoms” has been sublimated into an artistic level by adding the fiction of the novel. Furthermore, the reconstruction of the fiction that takes commerciality into account, it has become one of the best sellers in East Asia as well as in China today. Other compositional and descriptive fiction and truth problems have caused problems such as content composition and descriptive technical errors, and contradictions. The type is roughly classified into five types. In other words, various contradictions emerged, including literary anachronisms, contradictions in logic and composition, errors in expression and description techniques, human and character relations, public posts and names. Most of these technical errors have been appeared in the limitations of the author’s knowledge or in temporary mistakes in the work process.

This research is one of the studies about how Chinese classic novels are named and how sobriquet novels have emerged in many ways and causes. In Chinese classical novels, naming novels appeared mainly in connection with the contents of the novel. In the case of bai-wha tong-su(白話通俗) novels, names are closely connected with commercial purposes. Naming principle is based on the case of a novels symbolic image, name of the main character and whether it’s published in series. Sometimes particular place or background of a novel becomes its title. The reason why sobriquet novels have emerged is to easily shorten novels title, or to differentiate one’s new publishing book with the old ones, or to get commercial profit, or to make people notice that the incomplete novel has completed, or to differentiate novel of the same title. In rare case, some novels were published in foreign countries and became sobriquet novels.
