It has been reported that caudate to right lobe ratio is useful for diagnosis of liver cirrhosis by noninvasive imaging modalities such as computed tomography and ultrasonography. CRL ratio wsmeasured by computed tomography in 66 Koreans, who have had no evidence of hepatic pathology both clinically and radiologically. RESULTS : 1. The mean value of CRL ratio of 66 healthy Korean liver is 0.45$\pm$0.07. 2. There is nostatistically significant difference of CRL ratio between men and women. 3. There is no statistically significant correlation between CRL ratio and age.
개인별 운동처방에 의한 12주간의 Treadmill 운동이 만성 피로자의 기능적 유산소능력 회복에 미치는 효과

The purpose of this study was to investigate physiological factor changes with treadmill exercise program by personally prescriptive exercise to rehabilitate from functional aerobic impairment in people with chronic fatigue. 8 female and 8 male subjects with mean ageing 43.1-49.3 years were participated exercise progam at 5 days/week during the 12 weeks. The treadmill walking program consisted of continuous walking speed for 20 min/day the first and second wee, Exercise intensity was increased progressively 2 week intervals respectively requiring 40-60% of VO_2 max. Major findings and conclusion are as follows: 1. Predictive values of VO_2 max by ageing was significantly higher than directly measured values. 2. Percent body fat determined by using impedances technique was a greater extent than desirable weight and denoted obesity. 3. Directly measured VO_2max revealed 20% decrease more than levels of predictive equation used in women and 10% in men and to be perceived fatigue even sadentary life-style. 4. The VO_2 max to foster recuperation was 21-25% in men and 11-17% in women through the 12 week walking exercise program.
연속 교반반응기에서 폴리카보네이트 용융중합 공정의 반응전환율 수치모사

중요한 엔지니어링 플라스틱의 하나인 폴리카보네이트를 용융중합 공정을 채택하여 연속반응 방식으로 중합생산하는 다단계 반응시스템에 대하여 초기단계에 사용되는 교반반응기의 정상상태 및 동적변화 거동을 연속 교반반응기 모델링 및 그의 수치모사를 통하여 살펴보았다. 이러한 수치모사 결과는 폴리카보네이트의 품종변화를 위한 중합공정 설계 및 반응기 공정제어 방식 등의 설계에 매우 중요한 정보를 제공한다. 반응온도, 촉매량, Bisphenol-A (BPA)와 Diphenyl Carbonate (DPC)의 원료몰비 및 반응기 체류시간 등의 반응조건에 따라 결정되는 정상상태 BPA 반응전환율을 조사하였다. 첫 번째 반응기에서 정상상태 조업조건 하에서 얻을 수 있는 BPA 반응전환율의 최대치와 최적의 반응기 체류시간이 예측되었으며 생성 유출되는 반응액은 dimer 수준의 oligomer 이었다. 교반반응기의 반응조건을 순간적으로 계단변화를 일으킬 때 반응기 성능은 반응시간이 경과함에 따라서 어떻게 변화하는지를 살펴보았으며 이를 통하여 반응기가 새로운 정상상태를 갖는데 얼마나 시간이 필요한지를 예측하였다. Reactor modeling and numerical simulation results have been reported for the continuous stirred reactor system of multistage Polycarbonate melt polymerization process. The steady state reactor performance and the reactor transients to a step change in some reaction operating conditions have been estimated and these simulation results are necessary and important data in the polymerization process design for the polymer grade change and in the polymerization reactor control design. It has been estimated the steady state Bisphenol-A (BPA) reaction conversion corresponding to the variation of the reaction temperature, the feed catalyst amount, the feed molar ratio of Diphenyl Carbonate (DPC) and BPA, and the reactor residence time. The obtainable maximum BPA reaction conversion and the optimum reactor residence time in the first stirred reactor have been numerically predicted. The Polycarbonate oligomers of dimer have been produced in the first reactor. It has been studied the reactor performance change with the reaction time corresponding to the step change of the reaction conditions introduced into the first reactor. The simulation results showed how it takes to reach to the new steady state reactor condition.
