A cheaper energy monitoring system, which is an essential component of the energy management system, is absolutely necessary for households or small and medium-sized buildings. This study examines a method of reducing the number of sensors used for an energy monitoring system. In the conventional power monitoring system, each electrical equipment needs its own sensor. However, if power consumption characteristics of each electrical equipment are utilized, multiple sensors can be replaced by a single one installed on a power bus to which multiple electrical equipment are connected. This paper proposes phase noise and current patterns in a transient state where each electrical equipment is turned on by its own power characteristics. A current pattern in a transient state is measured by time axis, while phase noise is converted to frequency axis by Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). Even when each electrical equipment is distant from the measurement point of a sensor, the identification method using phase noise obtained from frequency axis is still more useful since it is resistant to noise in an electrical cable.

The author have studied the relationship between the maximum puberal growth stage in body height and the appearance of the adductor sesamoid of the thumb with wrist x-ray films. In addition to this, it has been investigated the age at which pubic hair appeared in boys, and the age at menarche in girls. The results were as follows: 1) The ossification of the adductor sesamoid of the thumb occured at 13-years-o-month in boys and 10-years-8-months in girls. 2) There was a close association between the age at maximum puberal growth in body height and the age when ossification of the adductor sesamoid of the thumb occured, and also in girls, the age at the menarche. 3) Appearance of the adductor sesamoid of the thumb indicated that maximum puberal growth in body height is imminent or has been reached. 4) The maximum puberal growth in body height occured 23 months earlier in girls than in boys, and ossification of the adductor sesamoid of the thumb 28 months earlier in girls. 5) Appearance of the pubic hair in boys was of no value for prediction of maximum puberal growth in body height. 6) Menarche is a reliable indication that the maximum puberal growth in body height has been reached or passed.

The paper describes a Implementation of space vector pulse-width modulation (SVPWM) voltage source Inverter using Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) for a induction motor control system The Implemented chip IS Included logic Circuits for SVPWM, dead time compensation and speed detection using Quick Logic, QL16X24B. The maximum operating frequency and delay time can be set to llOMHz and 6 nsec. The designed FPG A for SVPWM can be Incorporated with a digital signal processing to provide a Simple and effective solution for high performance voltage source inverter drives. Simulation and Implementation results are shown to verify the usefulness of FPG A as a Application Specific Integrated Circuit(ASIC) in power electronics applications

The implemented chip is included logic circuits for SVPWM, dead time compensation and speed detection using Quick Logic, QLl6X24B. The maximum operating frequency and delay time can be set to I10MHz and 6 nsec. The designed Application Specific Integrated Circuit(ASIC) for SVPWM can be incorporated with a digital signal processing to provide a simple and effective solution for high performance induction motor drives with a voltage source inverter. Simulation and implementation results are shown to verify the usefulness of ASIC in a motor drive system and power electronics applications<br/> <br/>
