      • 高麗社會의 貴族制說과 官僚制論에 대한 檢討

        金毅圭 同德女子大學校 1985 同大論叢 Vol.15 No.1

The study of Koryo Kynasty had been emphasized from the late fifties on, being the missing link between the ancient and modern societies of Korea. Especially from the early societies on, the studies of the political institutions of Koryo Kynasty was highlighted by many historians. There had been many theories of the aristocracy and bureaucracy of the Koryo political institutions. The frequent polemics and discussions about the both institutions have contributed to the interpretations of the whole Korean history, too. I hereby compile the many studies on especially the eumsuh(蔭敍) system of Koryo society to analyze the political nature of the Koryo Dynasty. On every articles, I tried to add the significance of each article, intending to envision a new direction on those studies. This compilation is divided into seven units as follows: 1. The general overview studies of Eumjik(蔭職) system. 2. Aristocracy·Bureaucracy·Aristocratic Mandarin Society. 3. Empirical documents of Aristocracy. 4. Terminological definitions of Bureaucracy and Aristocracy. 5. Theories of non-aristocracy and the comparison of Kwago(科學) system and Mooneum(門蔭) system. 6. Rethinking the Eumsuh system. 7. New Directions: Study of Kinship. From the above consideration of the Koryo political studies, we still have several problems and perspectives. There have been many methodological innovation and problematic retrospection in those studies. But still we hae more to go in the study of the political nature of Koryo society. We have more to go (1) in finding out more concrete historical documents, (2) in theoretically rigorous refinements, and (3) along with the monographic articles, we have to launch out a general overview of Koryo political nature. We have to admot that, up to now, the theory of the aristocracy is more convincing than that of bureaucracy. But according to the accumulations of the future studies, there can happen several changes in the overview. Was the Koryo society either one of the aristocracy or of the bureaucracy? Or, was it the combination of the both avove? or, is it possible at all to differentiate the concepts of bureaucracy and aristocracy even in the light of the eastern societies in general? Up to now we have much danger in concluding in either way. Let us hope that more studies will further our way in locating the nature of Koryo Eumjik system.

        켄케디네이티드 코딩 시스템에 관한 연구

김의규 陸軍士官學校 1996 한국군사학논집 Vol.50 No.-

Channel coding on the telemetry channel plays a vial role in the rapidly growing field of space exploration and remote sensing. The concatenated coding system which consists of (255,223)Reed-Solomon outer code and an inner convolutional code is used as the standard channel coding system for deep space missions. We interduce two receiver modifications to improve performance of the conatenated coding system over very noisy channels. These are Joint source/Channel Decoding(JSCD) and the pixel correction method. The JSCD utilizes source statistics to provide improved channel error correcting capability. The pixel correction method uses the difference and ratio of adjacent pixel values as we compare rows of the image that are error-free with rows containing errors. After the two modification schemes the Reed-Solomon Decoder(RSD) is used again to get higher quality image reconstruction. By using the error correcting capability of the RSD, we can correct another 16 errors in one code word when no more than 16 errors remain after the two modification schemes. For error probability between 0.06 and 0.1, it is found that the proposed system performs better than the standard concatenated coding system.

There have been many kinds of methods of marrating Korean history. It goes without saying that no good history can be written without a clear historical view in the part of the historian. In the high time of the study of Korean history, the discussion of historical view is becoming bigger and bigger issue these days. The followings are the brief summaries of the five kinds of methods that have been attempted up to now and I add my own view of narrating Korean history in the future. First of all, the whole studies done by the historians up to the end of Yi Dynasty should be called the Confucian view of history. During this time, the Korean history had been narrated from the view of China as the center of Eastern world or the world itself. They studied the history of the rulers rather than that of Korean society as a whole, and, moreover, all historical facts were viewed from the standpoint of Confucian ethic. The second stage is the colonialistic view of Japanese historians during the Japanese historians during the Japanese rule. Because most of the historians had clear aim for studying history at the time, to back up the politics with historical forgery, they emphasized only the staticity, submissiveness, factionalism, and so forth of Korean people and their history. As a reaction to this colonialistic view, there sprouted three schools of historical methodology. The first one is the nationalistic view of Korean historians right after or before Emancipation. Their aim of study was to inspire nationalism to Korean people at the time. The second one is the socio-economic view of Korean history. As a reaction to the Confucian study of the history of rulers, they focused on the study of the means of production. This led to the materialistic view of Korean history. The third on which is still prevailing is the historicism. The basic methodology that history should be moulded on the basis of the historical facts was orginated by the historical society of Chin-dan Hakhoe. One should say that the true historical study in its scientific sense has begun only from this time on. Therefore, we now have the heavey vocation of establishing a new view of Korean history after the consideration of the above five view. It is not an easy job to do. One can only say that the new view should have its own unique methodology, being scientific, universalistically true, developmental, and structural. By being uniquely viewed, we mean that history should be written independently from other political inpacts; by being scientific, we mean that we should use the methodology of other social sciences; and by being structural, we mean that history should be studied divided by several fields but that the over-all picture should be structurally linked and interpreted interdisciplinarily.
