Background: We aimed to investigate whether densitometry results and volumetric bone mineral density (vBMD) can predict vertebral fragility fractures (VFF) in postmenopausal women. Methods: We enrolled 271 postmenopausal women aged >45 years who visited our hospital for health check-ups between September 2016 and September 2017. The lumbar spine (LS) and femoral neck (FN) densitometry results and trabecular bone score (TBS) were calculated using dual energy X-ray absorptiometry. vBMD was assessed using central quantitative computed tomography (cQCT). Baseline and follow-up X-ray images were reviewed to evaluate thoracolumbar vertebral compression fractures (CFs), according to the Genant criteria. Results: At baseline, 76 patients (28.0%) had CF. Additional or progressive fractures were noted in 26 participants (9.6%) with a median follow-up of 19.5 months. The median TBS and cQCT were significantly higher in participants without baseline CF than those with baseline CF (P<0.001). During the follow-up, Kaplan–Meier analysis showed that T-scores of the LS and FN <-2.5, degraded microarchitecture based on the TBS (≤1.200), and vBMD <80 mg/cm3 was significantly associated with future osteoporotic CF. The final multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that baseline CF and low TBS and vBMD were significant risk factors for future VFF. Conclusions: Participants with baseline CF and degraded microarchitecture had higher CF predisposition. Moreover, cQCT can predict future vertebral fractures.
병원 전 응급구조사의 응급분만 프로토콜 개발 및 타당도 검증

Purpose: This study aimed to develop a standardized protocol of systematic and explicit roles and procedures for paramedics for the maternal and newborn management during prehospital emergency delivery situations. Methods: This study is a methodological study with detailed step-by-step items proposed by an expert group based on evidence from a literature review. The content validity of the proposed preliminary prehospital emergency delivery protocol was verified before the final protocol was confirmed. Results: All 23 detailed items of the preliminary protocol met the reference cut-off (CVI value of 0.8 or higher). After considering, revising, and supplementing expert opinions for each of the 23 items 23 detailed in the proposed protocols, four steps were confirmed. The steps included five items for the management of the imminent mother, 10 items for delivery progress, five items for newborn management, and three items for postpartum management of the mother. Conclusion: This study’s findings may serve as reference for developing future specialized training programs for paramedics, to ensure enhanced competence in prehospital emergency delivery situations. The protocol should be reviewed and revised periodically to ensure currency.
삼물황금탕으로 호전된 야간 손발바닥의 열감 환자 치험 1례

Objective: The purpose of this study is to report the clinical treatment of a nighttime sensation of heat on the palms and soles of the feet of a 71-year-old female patient using Sammulhwanggeum-tang. Methods: Sammulhwanggeum-tang was administered for 19 days to reduce the patient’s symptoms, which were assessed using a visual analog scale (VAS) and by duration. Results: The heat sensation began to improve after four days and continued to do so for the subsequent 15 days. From May 12, X to May 30, X, the degree of subjective symptoms decreased from a VAS score of 10 before treatment to 0 after treatment, and their daily duration decreased from 10 to 0 hours. In addition, considering that the duration of the patient’s symptoms was about 30 days, the duration of the symptoms decreased to 17 days, including the period before the start of treatment. Conclusion: This clinical study suggests that Sammulhwanggeum-tang might be effective in resolving the sensation of heat on the palms and soles of the feet at night.
전통기술 발명교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 전통기술 이미지와 발명 흥미도에 미치는 영향

이 연구는 전통기술을 소재로 하는 발명교육 프로그램을 개발하고, 개발한 프로그램이 초등학생의 전통기술에 대한 이미지와 발명흥미도 신장에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 알아보고자 수행하였다. 전통기술 활용 발명교육 프로그램은 제조기술, 건설기술, 통신기술, 수송기술 각 영역별로 1개씩의 주제를 선정하여 총 12차시(4회기) 분량으로 구성하였다. 개발한 프로그램이 초등학생의 전통기술에 대한 이미지에 미치는 영향과 발명흥미도 신장에 어떠한 효과가 있는지 검증하기 위해 화성시 G 초등학교 6학년 1학급 학생들을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 전통기술 이미지 영향에 대한 검사 도구는 임향정(2010)의 ‘전통기술의 이해’ 단원에 대한 이미지 조사 검사지를 수정하여 사용하였으며, 발명흥미도 신장에 대한 검사도구는 김준희, 문성환(2009)의 발명흥미도 검사지를 수정하여 사용하였다. 이 연구를 통하여 밝혀진 결과는 다음과 같다. 전통기술을 활용한 발명교육 프로그램은 초등학생의 전통기술에 대한 이미지에 긍정적인 영향을 주었으며 발명 흥미도 신장에도 효과가 있었다. 전통기술에 대한 이미지 조사에서는 7점에 가까울수록 긍정적인 이미지로 인식되어지는데 사후 평균점은 5.47로서 사전 평균점 5.00점보다 통계적으로 p<.001에서 유의미한 변화를 보였다. 발명 흥미도에서는 사후조사 평균점 3.54로 사전조사 평균점 2.94보다 통계적으로 p<.001에서 유의미한 변화를 보였다. The purpose of this research is to develop invention education program for understanding traditional technology and is to verify if developed program is effective for the effects on students' image of traditional technology and growth of invention interests. Invention education program utilizing traditional technology which was developed in this study included to manufacture technology, construction technology, communication technology and transportation technology. To verify if invention education program utilizing traditional technology is effective to the effects on students' image of traditional technology and growth of invention interests, the research was conducted under the object of 24 students in one class of the sixth grade, G Elementary School of Hwaseong. For the test tool of the effects on the image of traditional technology, testing paper of Lee Yonghan et al. (2005) was revised and used. For the test tool of the growth of invention interests, interests testing paper of Kim Junhee and Mun Seonghwan (2009) was revised and used. For the statistical program, i-Statistics was used.. And, satisfaction of program was investigated by post-survey and changes of student‘s awareness for invention and traditional technology were confirmed. The results of this research are as follows. Invention education program utilizing traditional technology made a positive effect on learners' image of traditional technology and showed effects on the growth of invention interests. In the investigation of the image for traditional technology, positive image is recognized as approaching 7 points. The average score of post-test was 5.47 which showed statistically significant changes in p<.001, in comparison with the average score of pre-test, 5.00. In invention interests, the average score of post-test was 3.54 which showed statistically significant changes in p<.001, in comparison with the average score of pre-test, 2.94. If applying invention education program utilizing traditional technology, developed by this research, to the actual site of invention education, it will contribute to the diversification of invention education more.
