        운동강도의 차이가 고령 골감소증 여성의 골대사지표 및 RANKL/RANK/OPG 시스템 사이토카인에 미치는 영향

        PURPOSE: Regular exercise augments the bone mineral density in postmenopausal elderly women. However, its acute effects by different intensities on bone metabolic markers and cytokines of the RANKL/RANK/OPG system have not been determined. Our aim was to investigate the effects exercise intensity difference on these markers and RANKL/RANK/OPG system in Korean osteopenia elderly women. METHODS: Twelve osteopenia elderly women (T-score -2.46±0.48; aged 68.17±3.04 years) examined these markers and RANKL/RANK/OPG system responses to acute high (80% VO<sub>2</sub>max ; HIGH group), low (40% VO<sub>2</sub>max; LOW group) intensity with a cycle ergometer, and sedentary rest (CON group) in a randomized, cross-over repeated measures design. The concentrations of bone metabolic markers and cytokines measured before, immediately after and then recovery 60 minutes after exercise. mRNA expressions of RANKL & OPG from PBMC were also measured at same times. RESULTS: There were no significant changes in the serum CTx and RANKL, and mRNA expression of RNAKL, indicating bone resorption (NS). On the other hand, although the serum OPG showed significant change in high intensity (p=.027; group×time), the serum OC showed significant change in low intensity (p=.044; group×time), indicating bone formation, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that a single bout exercise might effect on bone formation alone with OPG responds to high intensity, OC responds to low intensity. Additional studies are needed on the difference in change between OC and OPG due to exercise intensity.

        일회성 운동이 골감소증 고령여성의 골대사성 사이토카인 생성에 미치는 영향

        PURPOSE: Although overproduction of cytokines from peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) was associated with the reduction of bone mass, bone metabolic cytokines production according to exercise is still not clear. We aimed to test whether changes in production of bone metabolic cytokines after a bout exercise in osteopenia elderly women. METHOD: Nine osteopenia elderly women (T-score -2.61±0.46; aged 67.67±3.24 years) underwent a bout exercise of 60 %VO<sub>2</sub>max (EX group) with a cycle ergometer. To clarify the changes during exercise, we designed repeated measure ANOVA as the sedentary control (CON group) to perform blood sampling without exercise. The concentrations and the mRNA expressions of cytokines were measured before, immediately after and then recovery 60 minutes after exercise. Serum Ca, Pi, Mg, and ALP were also measured at same times. RESULTS: There were no significant changes in the concentrations of serum TNF-alpha, IL-6, IL-1beta, and INF-gamma (NS). Although the mRNA expression of most cytokines also show no significant changes (NS), only TNF-alpha mRNA expression showed significant difference between groups (p=.008). On the other hand, serum Ca showed significant difference between times (p=.002), that of EX group was significantly increased at immediately after exercise compared to baseline (p<.05), and it was decreased at recovery period (p<.01). CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that a bout exercise of moderate intensity might not be effect on production of bone metabolic cytokines both level of serum and mRNA from PBMC, and induced temporal hypercalcemia.

        8주간의 적미섭취 및 운동수행이 성장기 흰쥐의 지질대사 및 골밀도에 미치는 영향

        This study was designed to clarify the effects of red-rice bran extract administration and running training on bone and lipid metabolism in growing rats. Twenty-four 5-week-old male Wister- Kyoto (WKY) rats were randomly divided into four groups: Control Non-exercise group (CN; n = 5), Control Exercise group (CE; n = 4), Red-rice administrated Non-exercise group (RN; n = 5), Red-rice administrated Exercise group (RE; n = 5). The RN and RE groups were fed a standard diet (CE-2, Oriental yeast, Japan) containing 10% red-rice bran extract, the CN and CE groups were fed only a standard diet. Exercise was performed on the treadmill (KN-73, Natsume, Japan) at 23 m/min, 60 min/day, 5days/ week for 8weeks. At the end of the experimental period, rats were sacrificed with blood drawn and then tibia and several organs were removed. The serum T-cho, T-lipid and phospholipid of RN group was 45.5%, 37.0%, 40.2%, respectively lower than those of CN group (p<0.001) with a tendency of decrease in the body weight. The results of examination of the hapatic function, such as serum GOT, GPT, γ-GTP. TP, Alb, and the nephric function, such as BUN, Na, K, showed similar levels among groups. The bone mineral density (BMD) and content (BMC) of the CN and RN showed similar levels. On the other hand, although running exercise in CE group increased BMC compared with that of CN group (p<0.05), the exercise also increased body weight (p<0.01), heart weight (p<0.05), BMD (p<0.05) and BMC (p<0.001) in RE group compared with that of RN group. These results suggest that 8-week red-rice bran extract administration might improve the lipid metabolism, and the combined treatment with running training has more beneficial effects in body weight and BMD in growing rats.

        In the resonant converters which can provide high efficiency and high power density, the resonant voltage stress is about 4 - 5 times the input voltage. it needs the power switch with high ratings This is a reason why the conduction loss is increased in this paper, it proposes the alternately zero voltage switched forward, flyback multi resonant converter topology for reducing the voltage stress using alternately zero voltage switching technique And the proposed AT forward MRC is experimentally considered about the loop gain with HP4194A network analyzer.

        걷기와 우드볼 운동이 뇌졸중편마비환자의 골량감소 개선에 미치는 영향

        This study was designed to clarify the effect of walking and wood ball exercise training on improvement of bone loss in chronic stroke patients with hemiplegia. Volunteer nine male and seven female chronic stroke patients aged approximate 60 yrs were participated aerobic exercise training for 60 min, 3 times a week during 9 months. The exercise was composed that walking for 1~3 ㎞, 2 times a week and wood ball, 1 time a week. Bone intensity of both calcaneus was measured by ultrasonic methods (Achilles express; LUNAR, USA) and body composition was measured by Salus (Biospace, Korea). Physical fitness of hand grip strength, maximum step reach, speed of 10m walk, sit & reach, chair stand, 2.45 m up & go, push up and 2 kg arm curl were measured in before and after experiment. At before experiment, bone intensity of female was significantly lower than that of male in both side legs (p<0.05) while there were no significant difference of bone intensity between both side legs either male or female. Since 9 months of aerobic exercise, bone intensity of both male and female were significantly increased (p<0.05), respectively and the muscular strengths related legs such as speed of 10 m walk (p<0.05), chair stand (p<0.01) and 2.45 m up & go (p<0.01) were also significantly improved either male or female. However any significant effects by aerobic exercise were not found on height, weight, body fat and WHR either male or female. These results suggest that prolonged aerobic exercises such as walking and wood ball may improves bone intensity of legs and the muscular strengths related legs in chronic stroke patients with hemiplegia.

      • 주행차량의 공기역학적 주행안전성 평가를 위한 알고리즘 개발연구

        The objectives of vehicle aerodynamic design is on the fuel economy, reduction of the harmful emissions and minimizing vibration and noise and the driving stability of the vehicle. Especially in case of a sedan, aerodynamic driving stability of a vehicle is the main focus, and for this, the proper evaluation of aerodynamic driving stability of a vehicle is required. In this study, we yield the size of moving moment on the body of the vehicle generated by side wind when sedan type vehicle drives on the road and complete a numerical algorithm to evaluate aerodynamic driving stability of a vehicle judging whether such moving moment has a serious impact on vehicle driving stability. The model vehicle for the study is sedan type vehicle shape recommended by SAE. In the study, we yield the pressure drag and the position of C.P. on the body of the vehicle generated when the vehicle drives with side wind using CFD technique. Based on this, we also calculated pitching, rolling and yawing moment of the body of the vehicle generated on the center of gravity, and the result from comparing turning moment values and the size of rotational resistance moment of the body of the vehicle can be used as the basis to judge driving stability such as off-course and rollover of the vehicle. After driving stability of a vehicle when the vehicle drives 100km/h with 15m/s side wind is evaluated using the numerical algorithm drawn from the study, the value of yawing moment is 606N.m, rolling moment -773N.m and pitching moment 84N.m. These values are smaller than each value of rotational resistance moment the model vehicle has, and therefore, the model vehicle’s driving stability is guaranteed when driving 100km/h with 15m/s side wind.

        국궁 활쏘기 동작에서의 체중이동과 수행속도, 관절 근력의 관련성

        The changes of kinematic factors during archery shooting motion are still unknown in Korean traditional archery. This study investigated to evaluate of kinematic factors and each joint muscle strength during archery shooting motion in Korean traditional archers. Ten men Korean traditional archers were divided into two groups according to the shooting stance; parallel stance group (PSG, n=5) and oblique stance group (OSG, n=5). The 3-phase time of PSG was significantly longer than that of OSG during shooting motion (p<.01). On the other hand, there was no difference between the two groups in body weight movement measured by ground reaction force (NS). In the comparison of joint muscle strengths, dominant arm (draw arm) had significantly higher means in total upper limb muscle (TULS) with shoulder flexion+extension (SFES), shoulder external+internal rotation (SERIRS), total shoulder (TSS), wrist flexion+extension strength (WFES) than non-dominant arm(bow arm), respectively (p<.05, p<.001). As for the correlation between each variable, significant negative correlation was found between highest score and dominant body weight movement in the 3-phase time (p<.01). However, significant correlation was found among bowstring tension and average hand grip strength, non-dominant hand grip (NDhand grip), wrist extension (NWES), and shoulder external rotation strength (NSERS), respectively (p<.01). These results suggest that the muscular strength of joints in the dominant arms is an important factor for Korean traditional archery, and the parallel stance is might more advantageous to shoot than oblique stance.

        트레드밀 운동이 고혈압 흰쥐의 골대사에 미치는 영향

        There have been many researches that studied the influence of exercise on secondary bone loss by hypertension. However, the researches still have a little question. For a better understanding between exercise and bone mineral density (BMD), the purpose of this study was to examine the effects of treadmill exercise on bone metabolic turnover in Spontaneously Hypertension Rats(SHR). Six-week-old male, fourteen SHR, and seven Wister-Kyoto (WKY) rats were investigated on bone status including BMD and biomechanical markers from serum. After a week of stabilization, the rats were randomly divided into three groups: WKY control group (n=7, WKY), SHR control group (n=7, SC) and SHR treadmill exercise group (n=7, SE). Treadmill exercise training was performed at 20m/min, 60min/day, 5days/week for 16 weeks. All that rats were fed an commercial standard lab chow and allowed free access to tap water. At the end of the experimental period, the rats were sacrificed with blood drawn and femur were removed for analysis of BMD by dual energy x-ray absorptionmetry (DEXA). In SC group, blood pressure showed significant higher (p〈.001) than that of WKY group with a lower BMD(p〈.05), BMC(p〈.01), bone mass(p〈.01), serum Ca(p〈.01) and adjusted Ca(p〈.01). In SE group, blood pressure was significantly decreased (p〈.001), there was no change in BMD, BMC and bone mass as well as serum bone metabolic markers compared with SC group. Blood pressure was negatively correlated with all femur bone indexes and serum Ca concentration(p〈.01), and there was a positive correlation between femur bone indexes and serum Ca concentration(p〈.01). Results indicated that although SHR showed characteristics of osteoporosis, and treadmill exercise training improves blood pressure but does not prevent bone loss.
