산업 특성이 회계정보 품질에 미치는 영향

As a follow-up study of Kim and Sohn(2011), this study attempts to clarify the causality of their results and to discover additional industrial characteristics which affect the quality of accounting information. This study examines whether the capital intensiveness of an industry or investment mode affects the quality of accounting information. In addition, this study analyzes whether, in a highly competitive industry, the low quality of accounting information of a firm reduces the credit rating of the firm, using credit rating grades. It also reviews whether the earnings management through the capitalization of R&D expenses is more prevalent in high-tech industries. The results of this empirical study are as follows:(1) The higher the capital intensiveness of an industry is, the higher the quality of accounting information of the industry will be. This result comes from the fact that, in highly capital intensive industries, the effects of property, plant, and equipment on the total expenses are relatively great and there is little room for managers to apply discretionary estimation to property, plant, and equipment. (2) In the highly competitive industries, the upward adjustment of earnings of a firm severely reduces the credit rating grades of the firm, and the control effect of credit rating on earnings management is great. (3) Earnings management through the capitalization of R&D expenses is more prevalent in high-tech industries. We can infer that the quality of accounting information is low in high-tech industries because it is more difficult for auditors and investors to understand and predict the technological impacts in high-tech industries, and, as a result, the managers are prone to apply greater discretionary judgment. 본 연구는 김성환과 손성규(2011)의 후속연구이다. 김성환과 손성규(2011)는 산업이 기업의 회계정보 품질을 설명하는 중요한 요인이라는 연구 결과를 제시하였다. 그리고 경쟁 환경, 기술 환경, 사업의 영위 형태 등 산업 특성이 기업의 회계품질 차이를 초래하고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서는 김성환과 손성규(2011) 연구 결과의 인과관계를 보다 명확히 하고 회계정보의 품질에 영향을 미치는 추가적인 산업 특성을 찾는다. 우선 사업의 영위 형태로 투자 형태, 즉 산업의 자본집약도가 회계정보 품질에 미치는 영향을 살펴본다. 그리고 타인자본비용을 결정하는 신용평가점수를 활용해 경쟁이 치열한 산업에서 회계정보 품질이 낮은 기업의 신용평가점수가 더욱 하락하는지를 분석한다. 또한 개발비의 자산화를 통한 이익조정이 첨단산업에서 보다 많이 이루어지는지를 살펴본다. 실증결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자본집약도가 높은 산업에 있어서 회계정보 품질이 높다는 결과가 나타났다. 자본집약적 산업은 전체 비용에 유형자산이 미치는 영향이 큰데 유형자산은 경영자의 재량적 추정이 개입될 여지가 적어서 나타나는 현상으로 해석된다. 둘째, 경쟁이 심한 산업에서는 이익의 상향 조정에 대해 신용평가 등급이 더욱 하락하여, 신용등급의 이익조정 통제효과가 경쟁 산업에서 더욱 크다는 결과가 도출되었다. 이러한 결과는 경쟁 정도가 높은 산업에서 회계정보 품질이 높다는 선행연구(김성환과 손성규 2011)의 결과가 시장의 규율에 의해 나타난다는 논리적 근거를 제시한다. 셋째, 개발비의 자산화를 통한 이익조정이 첨단기술 산업에서 더 많이 이루어지고 있음이 관찰되었다. 첨단기술 산업의 경우 감사인 및 투자자들이 기술과 관련되어 이해와 전망이 어렵기 때문에 경영자의 재량적 판단이 더 많이 개입되어 회계정보 품질이 더 낮다고 추론할 수 있다.

시장 불확실성이 원가의 비대칭성에 미치는 영향

[연구목적] 본 연구는 시장 불확실성이 높아지는 경우 원가 하방경직성이 강화되는지, 혹은 완화되는지를 확인한다. 시장 불확실성이 높아지면 경영자는 최악의 상황을 상정하여 보수적 의사결정을 하면서 원가의 하방경직성은 완화될 수 있다. 반대로 불확실성을 회피하는 경영자는 불확실성이 해소되는 시기까지 의사결정을 연기하면서 원가의 하방경직성이 강화될 수도 있다. [연구방법] 2010년부터 2022년까지의 코스피 및 코스닥 시장에 상장된 16,685 기업-연도 표본을 분석 대상으로 한다. 시장 불확실성이 비대칭적 원가행태에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위해 Anderson et al.(2003)의 모형을 활용하는 다변량 회귀분석을 수행하였다. [연구결과] 실증분석결과 시장 불확실성이 높아지면 원가의 하방경직성이 강화되는 것으로 나타났다. 시장이 불확실해지면 경영자는 영업활동이 감소될 때 적극적으로 원가를 감소시키지 않고, 불확실성이 해소될 때까지 의사결정을 연기시키면서 원가의 하방경직성이 강화되는 것으로 해석될 수 있다. 그리고 원가를 인건비와 매출원가로 정의한 추가분석과 시장 불확실성 강도에 따라 집단을 구분한 추가분석에서도 연구 결과의 강건성이 확인되었다. [연구의 시사점] 본 연구는 기존 연구와는 달리 거시경제적 차원에서 시장 불확실성이 원가 비대칭성의 원인으로 작용할 수 있음을 밝혀냈다는 점에서 차별화된다. 또한 시장 불확실성을 높이는 개별 경제적 사건을 대상으로 원가 비대칭성을 분석했던 선행연구(김성환 2021; 정문종과 육근효 2012; 김광태 2021)를 확장하고 연구 결과를 일반화했다는 점에서도 의미가 있다. 그리고 회계정보 이용자들이 회계 정보를 활용하는 과정에서 고려할 요인으로 시장 불확실성을 추가하였으며, 경영자 의사결정 과정에 거시경제적 요인인 시장 불확실성의 역할에 대해서 이해를 높였다는 점에서도 기여점이 있다.

음악교육 인터페이스의 설계와 구현- 비주얼 효과에 기반한 스토리텔링을 중심으로김성환전통 음악 교육에서는 기교와 같은 기능적인 면을 중시하여, 재미 요소선율, 리듬에 집중하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전통 음악 교육에서 탈피하여보다 재미있는 음악 교육 방법을 제시하기 위해 스토리텔링 기법과 게임성(휴먼 인터페이스에 기반한 사용자의 친근감 유도)을 접목시키고자 한다. 음악 게임과 리듬 게임이 지니는 음악 교육적인 면을 살펴보고, 사용자의입장에서 실감의 정도, 음향 효과의 시각적 효과, 게임성, 조작 의도의 반영, 재연 가능성을 중심으로 분석하여 인터페이스 구현에 참고하였다. 본논문에서 구현된 작곡 인터페이스는 피교육자에게 스토리를 제시하고 그에따른 이미지를 선율로 표현하여 사용자의 이야기를 풀어나가도록 하며, 재생 인터페이스는 디지털 음원 사운드 폰트 기반의 각각의 음계를 담은 음원을 내장시켜 연주할 때 출력하며, 스토리와 이야기와 상응하는 시각적인효과를 재생 인터페이스에 구현하였다. Design and Implementation of Music Education Interface - Focused on Visual interface based storytelling Kim Sung-Hwan In the traditional music education, functionality such as instrumental skill is very important, and they focus on the fun, melody and rhythm. In this paper, we present the music educational methodology that integrates storytelling skill and fun of computer game. We review music and rhythm based game, and analyze them on the basis of user’s actual feeling, sound effect, visual effect, fun of the game. In our scheme, we present music composition and replay interface. Given a story with visual effects, learner will express his/her feelings for the story in the form of musical melody. Using bulit-in sound fonts, learner can be more focused on the theme of music than just on instrumental skills.

데카르트, 환각지, 동물의 몸 자기 앎

In this paper, I argue that there is a coherency between Descartes’ views on perceptions or passions including phantom limbs of animals and human. First of all, according to Descartes not only human but also animals can have all the perceptions or passions and phantom limbs, because both of them have animal spirits and pineal gland. Secondly, phantom limbs, perceptions or passions can be conceived by human who has soul but cannot be by animals without their souls. Lastly, if all the perceptions or passions arise in brain, animals also can have nonconscious bodily self-awareness. There is no contradiction between Descartes’ views on perceptions or passions and phantom limbs of animals and human, because he allows human both conscious and nonconscious ones but allows animals only nonconscious ones. 나는 환각지를 비롯한 넓은 뜻에서 지각 또는 정념에 대한 데카르트의 설명을 분석해 인간과 동물에 대한 그의 견해 사이에 정합성이 있다고 논증한다. 첫째, 동물도 인간과 마찬가지로 동물 정기와 솔방울 샘이 있으니까 적어도 논리로는 환각지를 비롯한 모든 지각 또는 정념을 가질 수 있다. 둘째, 동물과 인간이 공유하는 환각지와 지각 또는 정념은 영혼이 있는 인간에게는 의식되지만 영혼이 없는 동물에게는 의식되지 않는다. 셋째, 모든 지각 또는 정념이 뇌에서 생긴다면 인간 뿐 아니라 동물도 의식되지 않는 몸 자기 앎을 가질 수 있다. 데카르트는 인간의 지각 또는 정념은 의식되지만 동물의 지각 또는 정념은 의식되지 않는다고 보기 때문에 동물과 인간의 환각지와 지각 또는 정념에 대한 그의 견해 사이에는 아무 모순도 없다.

檀君傳承과 檀君墓-고려시대 단군묘 전승에 대한 가능성 모색-

Asadal mountain god and Tangun’s tomb of the transmission about Tangun’s death are separate story. We can’t believe that two place are the same. The Mt. Asadal is the another name of Mt. Guwol in Hwanghae province, North Korea and the place of the tomb is Pyongyang, the first capital of Old Jeosun in Pyongan province of North. The relation of the two transmission is not supplementary but conflict. It’s possible that the transmission on the Tangun’s tomb was already handed down in Koryo period at Pyongyang area. The geomancer made use of the Tangun transmission politically before in the middle of Koryo dynasty. Maybe Some of them had recognition of Tangun who was the founder of Old Jeosun. They could were understanding of a lineage cognition from Tangun or Hwanin, Hwanwung to them as their ancestor. Tangungi and Tangunbongi would be the materials which related with some of the geomancer. They came close to his death in the point of view as historical person. It was settled on the transmission of his tomb. Probably we could guess that the time is about worked Tangungi and Tangunbongi or formed the transmission of Kija’s tomb. 단군묘 전승이 고려시대 이미 평양 일대에서 전해지고 있었을 가능성은 충분하다. 고려 전중기 단군전승이 도참사상에 연계되어 정치적으로 이용되고 있음을 볼 때, 선가 또는 도참사상을 지닌 일부계층에서는 고조선의 시조로서 단군에 대한 인식이 있었을 것이다. 그들은 단군 혹은 그 선계로서 환인, 환웅부터 자신들까지의 계통의식을 가지고 있었을 것이고, 『단군기』와 『단군본기』 역시 그들과 관련한 자료가 아닐까싶다. 이들은 단군의 최후를 보다 역사적인 측면에서의 접근을 가능하게 했고, 그것이 단군묘 전승으로 귀결되었을 것이다. 그 시기는 구체적이지 못하지만, 『단군기』와 『단군본기』 등이 저술되던 전후, 또는 기자묘 전승의 형성과 비슷한 때로 추측할 수 있다.

Flexible, Stretchable and Implantable PDMS Encapsulated Cable for Implantable Medical Device

Purpose Diverse commercial implantable medical devices were developed for the convenience and life-quality of patients, and tether-free diagnostics and therapeutics. Those devices need implantable cable, which connects each part of their devices for transcutaneous energy or signal transfer. For prolonged implantation into human body, it should be safe,robust, and be long-term operable without failure. In this paper, we introduce an implantable PDMS-coated cable. Methods By using PDMS as an encapsulation material, we developed a biocompatible, flexible and durable cable. Several tests were carried out for the evaluation of cable performance. Leakage test confirmed that coating using PDMS was sufficient to prevent the invasion of body fluid to conducting wire. Tensile test, torsion-durability test and bending-durability test demonstrated its mechanical durability and robustness to motion. The resistance variation recorded in the durability test was monitored to verify the electrical stability during movement of cable. Experiments of subcutaneous tissue implantation for 8 weeks were performed to observe the degree of biocompatibility as an implantable cable. Results & conclusions Our cable was mechanically stable and biocompatible enough to be used for long term implantable medical devices.

헤겔의 의식 고차 이론 : 감각 확신과 현상 의식

I analyse Hegel’s theory of consciousness in terms of some theories of it in the contemporary philosophy of mind. I propose a new interpretation of Hegel’s concept of the sense-certainty in his Phenomenology of Spirit and argue the following statements. First of all, the sense-certainty can be divided into three steps and the step 1 of it has a possibility of being same with the phenomenal consciousness in the contemporary philosophy of mind. Secondly, analysing the step 2 of it, Hegel’s theory of consciousness can be interpreted as a kind of higher-order theory of consciousness. Thirdly, the richest and concrete contents of the step 1 of it which are not expressed by language can be called the step 0 of it and seen as the first-order nonconscious experience which is the object of the phenomenal consciousness as higher-order thought. The reason why I analyse Hegel’s theory of consciousness in terms of the contemporary philosophy of mind is to give a clear explanation of his difficult philosophy, especially the complex structure of the sense-certainty. And also I think that I can explain a part of the tradition of higher-order theory of consciousness in history of philosophy by showing that it has a root in Hegel’s theory of consciousness. 나는 헤겔의 의식 이론을 분석하기 위해 현대 심리 철학에서 의식에 대한 몇 가지 이론을 끌어들여 헤겔의 『정신 현상학』에서 감각 확신에 대한 새로운 해석을 시도하고 다음과 같이 논증한다. 첫째, 감각 확신은 적어도 세 단계 이상으로 나눌 수 있고 감각 확신의 단계 1은 현대 심리 철학에서 말하는 현상 의식과 같은 것일 가능성이 있다. 둘째, 감각 확신의 단계 2를 분석하면 헤겔의 의식 이론은 현대 심리 철학에서 의식에 대한 고차 이론의 한 종류라고 해석할 수 있다. 셋째, 감각 확신의 단계 1에서 언어로 포착할 수 없는 풍부한 구체 내용은 고차 사유로서 현상 의식의 사유 대상인 일차 비의식 경험이라 볼 수 있고 감각 확신의 단계 0이라 부를 수 있다. 내가 현대 심리 철학을 끌어들여 헤겔의 의식 이론을 분석하는 이유는 이 접근법을 통해 헤겔의 난해한 철학, 특히 감각 확신의 복잡한 구조를 비교적 명료하게 설명할 수 있기 때문이다. 거꾸로 나는 현대 심리 철학에서 의식에 대한 고차 이론의 한 뿌리가 헤겔의 의식 이론 속에도 뻗어 있다는 것을 보여줌으로써 의식 고차 이론의 철학사 전통을 일부나마 밝히는 효과도 거둘 수 있다고 생각한다.
