Wang An-Shih; a chinese reformer, in the 11th century took an agriculral innovation to make a dam, enlarge the paddy rice-fields and to gain wealth of monarchy. Ones of his contemporary opponents were Su Shih and his brother Su Ch□. Su Shih had made the commentary on Book of Chance since his exiled time. In this commentary we can find the whole setting of his thoughts on Nature and Human society. He had viewed Nature or Thing as a great organ formed upper and lower parts, Yang and Yin. Yin and Yang, closely correlated, has a circuit way centered the core of organ, and when Yang feeds forward, Yin feeds back. If this way were dammed, the organ would not have a good condition. Su Shih applied this organism to the irrigation and said, "Damming is not a life way, but a dead way to the river. The only way to restore the lively river is to demolish the bank across the rover." Su and Wang's pros and cons on irrigation was a reflection of the lower fielder and upper fielder's interests.

Extracts of leaves of the Korean V.unijuga were prepared in the usual manner and agglutination inhibition test on human red blood cell (RBC) with various chloramphenicol derivatives were carried out. The result could be summarized as follows; 1. By using phytagglutinin, V.unijuga treated with chloramphenicol, human RBC was classified into two groups. One is agglutination inhibited and the other in non-inhibited. 2. The agglutinating inhibition by chloramphenicol of the V.unijuga was predominated in the M-type, on the other hand, agglutinating inhibition to the M-and MN-type was not frequently. 3. Agglutinating inhibition of V.unijuga treated with various preparation of chloramphenicol was resulted in the same with each other. 4. It was demonstrated that substances which inhibit the specificity on M-type antigenic determinants of V.unijuga is contained in chloramphenicol.
