19세기 연행예술의 유통구조 : 가곡(시조문학) 을 중심으로 Focusing on Ga - gok(Si - jo Literature)

This paper explores that the distribution of Ga-gok was led by the government office contrary to popular belief. The distribution by the government influenced the whole field of performance art in the two following aspects. First, Ga-gok performance was introduced throughout $quot;the capital and the provinces$quot;. Second, however, this brought $quot;tension and complication to $quot;Kwan(government) and Ye-hang(non-government)$quot; alike. Ga-gok developed in this environment of cooperation and competition. As a consequence of this distribution, Ga-gok was eventually used far an official ceremony and from that time its artistic contents were changed fundamentally. When Ga-gok was officially performed far the first time, it was a revolutionary event, because Ga-gok had never been used far an official ceremony far the past four hundred years of Cho-sun Dynasty. Prince Hyo-Nyung attempted to bring a change into the court dancing music while he pursued political reform. A new political system needed a new farm of music. Since then, Ga-gok also started to change its contents due to fixed farm of the official ceremony music. Ga-gok aimed at the finest melody, intended to keep the archaic style and pursued formalization in the art form. These three characteristics directly became the essence of Ga-gok in the 19th century. The new Ga-gok is the one we enjoy today.

Newspaper editorials are argumentative texts that express opinions on topical issues. They give opinions or make assertions based on facts to persuade readers. To achieve the goal, a variety of lexical devices are employed including degree adverbs. This study aims to make a comparative analysis of the use of degree adverbs in the editorials of Korean and American English newspapers. The results indicate that native writers use degree adverbs more frequently than non-native writers. The two groups do not differ significantly in the types of degree adverbs they use. Both groups of writers tend to make a more frequent use of amplifiers than diminishers. They show preferences for closed-class intensifiers as well. These results are believed to be related to the subject matter of the editorials. The findings of this study have pedagogical implications for EFL learners, especially for enhancing authenticity in their writing. 신문 사설은 언론사를 대변한 공식적인 논설이다. 많은 저널리스트들은 독자들을 설득하기 위해 사실과 함께 언론사의 의견이나 주장을 표명한다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 다양한 방법을 사용하는데 정도부사와 같은 어휘 장치도 그중의 하나이다. 본 연구는 미국 영자신문 사설과 한국 영자신문 사설에 나타난 정도부사의 빈도와 사용양상을 비교분석하였다. 그 결과 영어 원어민은 비원어민보다 더 많은 정도부사를 사용하였지만 사용된 어휘의 유형은 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 또한 영어 원어민과 비원어민 모두 감소어보다 확대어를 더 많이 사용하였고 폐쇄류 강조어를 더 선호하였다. 이와 같은 결과는 사설의 주제와 관련된 것으로 여겨진다. 본 연구의 결과는 L2 영어 학습자가 진정성이 있는(authentic) 글을 쓰는데 효과적이라고 판단된다.

이 글은 악장이 ‘궁중의식에 사용되는 노래’라는 본래 기능을 중시하여, 악장을 의례 속에서 논해야 함을 다루었다. 이를 위해 먼저 의례와 악장의 관계를 재조명했다. 의례는 인간 삶의 보편적인 현상이 아니라, 매우 상황적이고 전략적이기 때문에 ‘의례화’가 일어난다. 국가 의례 역시 규격화된 규범의 실천이 아니라, 왕과 관료들 사이 정치적 견해의 각축의 결과로 나타나는 현장이었다. 실제로 의례를 이끌어내는 동력은 왕과 관료들의 특수한 정황들에 있었다. 그러므로 우리는 의례를 통해 어떠한 권력 관계가 편성되고 새로운 의미가 창출되는지에 주목해야 한다. 따라서 악장은 의례가 새로 조직한 의미를 위해 기능하는 것으로 해석되어야 한다. 이를 입증하기 위해, 악장들 중 진부하게 여겨지는 ‘재사용’ 악장을 새롭게 분석하였다. 여기서는 숙종39(계사, 1713)에 만들어지고 총 4번의 의례에서 사용된 악장을 대상으로 하였다. 네 번은 모두 의례 종류와 개최연도가 다른 의례들이었고, 각각의 의례들은 당시의 중요한 정치적 사안과 관련되었으며, 그에 따라 동일한 악장임에도 불구하고 매번 의미를 달리하며 불러졌음을 밝혔다. This paper is focused on the primary function of Akjang, which is the song that used at Royal Court Ceremony. Accordingly, it emphasized discussion about Akjang within ceremony. For that, it reviewed relationship between Akjang and ceremony first. Ceremony is not a common social phenomenon but a very situational and strategic event, so a kind of “formalization” happens. Royal rituals is also not a practice of standardized norms but a place that shows the results of political opinion between king and bureaucrats. The power of deriving ceremony was actually in special circumstances between them. Therefore, this paper is focused on how power relations emerged and what kind of new meaning was created. And Akjang also should be construed as ceremony which did function for newly created meaning. To verify the argument, I examined resued Akjang that are often considered musical cliches. This study examined the reused Akjang that was composed in Sukjong 39 (1713) and performed four times in ceremonies. I found that each ceremony was at different times and for different purposes and that the four performance was tailored each time to convey a political message to contemporaries.

영어독서프로그램을 활용한 학습공간으로써 공공도서관의 운영 사례 연구 : ‘르네상스러닝’ 프로그램을 중심으로

본 연구는 공공도서관에서 운영하는 ‘르네상스러닝’ 영어독서프로그램이 이용자의 독서량과 영어독서 능력 향상에 미치는 효과를 분석하고, 공공도서관이 지역사회 영어교육을 어떻게 지원할 수 있는지 탐구하였다. 사례 연구 방법을 통해 2022년 8월부터 2023년 12월까지 D 공공도서관의 프로그램 참여자 24명을 대상으로 효과를 측정한 결과, 다수의 이용자가 독서량 증가 및 영어독서 능력 향상을 이루었음을 확인하였다. 이는 공공도서관의 풍부한 장서를 활용한 영어독서프로그램이 공교육을 보완하고 지역사회 내 영어교육에 실질적으로 기여할 수 있는 가능성을 보여준다. 그러나 참여자들의 개인적 환경에 따른 차이가 관찰되었으며, 이를 보완하기 위한 추가 연구의 필요성도 확인되었다. 본 연구는 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 공공도서관이 지역사회 영어교육을 활성화하는 데 있어 수행해야 할 역할과 발전 방향을 제시하는 데 의의가 있다. This study analyzed the effects of the ‘Renaissance Learning’ English reading program operated by D Public Library on users’ reading volume and English reading proficiency, while also exploring how public libraries may support English education within their communities. Using a case study method, the research examined 24 participants who engaged in the program from August 2022 to December 2023. The findings revealed significant increases in reading volume and improvements in English reading proficiency, as measured by participants’ reading volume, ATOS B/L, and SR scores. These results suggest that English reading programs leveraging the extensive collections of public libraries are well-positioned to complement public education and contribute meaningfully to community-based English education. However, variations in outcomes were observed depending on participants’ individual circumstances, underscoring the need for further research to address these disparities. This study underscores the critical roles and strategic directions public libraries should adopt to enhance English education in their communities.
