In deriving Einstein's fundamental equation of gravitation, R_μν-1/2 g_μνR=-KT_μν, firstly a brief survey of important tensor relations is given. Secondly Einstein's curvature tensor R_μν, curvature scalar R=g^μνR_μν and scalar density √-gR are introduced, and the Hamiltonian derivatives δ(√-gR)/δoj^ik, δ(√-gR)/δg^ik, δ(√-gR)/δg_ik are sought. It was shown that their invariant divergences vanish. On the other hand the "energy tensor of matter" T_μν which combines the enrgy density of the electromagnetic field and that of ponderable matter was introduced, and it was shown that the divergence of the corresponding mixed tensor vanishes. In analogue of Poisson's equation, these two quantities were equated. Lastly the important implications of this equation were enumerated.

Orthogonality relations for the Kim-Noz covariant harmonic-oscillator wave function are discussed. It is shown that the wave functions belonging to different Lorentz frames satisfy an orthogonality relation. That is Φ_0^n(x)Φ^n'_η(x)d^4x=σ^nn'(1-β^2)^n+1/2 can be given following physical interpretalion: If η=0, the inner product becomes the three-dimensional inner product of non-relativistic quantum mechanics. If η≠0, this means that the rest-frame wave function should see the Lorentz contraction.
ZnS:Mn 薄膜型 Electroluminescence에 관한 硏究

The films of ZnS : Mn mixed with transparent insulator materials were prepared using press method. These film showed Electroluminescence phenomenon for AC. The brightness B was measured as the dependence of applied Voltage V and powder annealing temperature. We could see the photoluminescence in the crystalline poㅈder of ZnS:Mn and the peak of emitting Spectrum in electroluminescence was the same as in photoluminescence. We could obtain electroluminescence emission at low power.

Starting from the concept of the curvature tensor, the action function of gravitational field and the momentum-energy tensor were derived. The gravitational field equations of the general theory of relativity were deduced by the method of principle of least action. The general relativistic theoretical backgound of the gravitational radiation was explained. Finally the present situation of the generation and detection of the gravitational wave was briefly summarized.

Elementary particle physics has made a long stride scince the introduction of the quark model, but it has many theoretical liabilities yet. This paper gives brief survey of the group theoretical back-ground of the theory, and looks forward for the improvement of the mathematical methods.

Unified field theory contrives to unify the theories of gravitational field and of electro-magnetic field. In Yi-king, it seems, this goal has already been achieved by describing the interactions using 8x8 matrix in the 5-dimensional space which is 4-dimensional space-time added by one more dimension of mass or electric charge.

This paper attacks to clarify what the nature of classical tachyon is. From the comparison of the properties of tachyon (which should be anticipated for) with those of bradyon, it is indicated that the recent main debates on the relations between tachyon and causality would run far from the physical reality, and one may conclude that tachyons are just no more than virtual particles. At last, it is explained that why we should necessarily assume such tachyons and how the relation between tachyon and causality should be exactly explained.

The usual representation of 3-vectors is extended to 4-vectors. The newly defined operations for 4-vectors and 6-vectors satisfy the basic theorems of triple vector products as well as for 3-vectors. This enables us to replace partially the tensor formalism into the usual vector formalism. The Maxwell equations are expressed very simply in this formalism.
