The Management of Robot-Cluster for the Functional Cooperation in Multi Robot Systems

Research on low-level robots has focused recently on improved cooperation and performance via multi-robot systems. The collective cooperation of low level robots, makes possible problem solving of complicated tasks on a rudimentary level. For smooth cooperation among multi robots, an efficient scheme for robot communication in various environments is required. This paper will show a plausible approach based on physical or functional reconfiguration(s) of objectives in multi robot systems, and proposes an efficient search algorthm for functional reconfiguration. In addition, this study illustrates how the robot itself can determine if a given operative scenario is actually possible via its search for necessary functions in neighbor robots. A description of the cluster manager to control the software and the hardware in multi robot systems is included in this study.

상수도 정책 목표의 변동과 성과에 대한 역사적 평가 연구

Water supply policies have been continuously shifted to the changes in the social environment since 1908, when water was supplied from the Ttukseom water source. In this study, policy goals and their means to achieve them are reviewed from the Japanese colonial period to the modern era. After that, evaluation on major objectives are carried out. Research shows that quantitative expansion was a major concern until the 1960s. After that, in the 1970s and 1980s, the objectives are expanded to securing industrial water for industrialization and living water of the for metropolitan cities. In the 1990s, there were drastic changes in the water supply policies due to the public's awareness of the quality of water resources. In the 2000s, environmental emphasis and sustainable development become important objective. The water supply policy of Korea has been very successful in terms of expanding the quantity of water supply, but the imbalance between water quality, service and technology level existed in the region, and there was room to enhance the enterprise nature of the waterworks management institution. In addition, the price system does not reflect the reality, and the necessity of realizing the water price in the future is raised in terms of sustainable development. 상수도 정책은 1908년 뚝섬 수원지에서 물을 공급한 이래 사회환경의 변화에 맞게 지속적으로 변하여 왔다. 본 연구에서는 일제 강점기부터 현대에 이르기까지 시대별 상수도 정책목표와 이를 달성하기 위한 수단 등을 살펴보았다. 이후 현재의 상수도 운영이 목표를 달성하고 있는지에 대하여 검토하고, 정책 대안을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구결과 1960년대 이전까지는 양적인 확대가 최대의 관심사였다. 이후 1970년대와 1980년대에는 산업화에 따른 공업용수의 확보, 도시화로 인한 도시지역의 생활용수 확대에 사활을 걸었다. 1990년대에는 수자원의 질에 대한 국민의 인식 강화, 지방자치의 실시에 따라 상수도 정책의 대폭적인 변화가 있었다. 2000년대에 들어서는 환경에 대한 강조, 지속가능성 등이 중요한 개념이었다. 우리나라의 상수도 정책은 양적인 보급확대의 측면에서는 매우 성공적이었으나, 지역간의 수질, 서비스, 기술 수준의 불균형은 상존하고 있으며, 상수도 운영기관의 기업성을 제고할 여지가 있었다. 또한 수단측면에서 가격제도가 현실을 반영하지 못하고 있어, 향후 지속가능성 측면에서 상수도 가격현실화의 필요성을 제기하였다.

It is necessary to employ the Unicode standard to represent Chinese characters in developing the web-based retrieval system for accessing ancient documents written in Chinese characters, such as the Hanguk Pulgyo Chonso. The missing character handling system announced by Electronic Buddhist Text Institute(EBTI) at Dongguk University in 1999, maintains the database of missing characters and corresponding font image files. In this paper, we present the improved missing character handling system which is integrated into the conventional word processor supporting the Unicode, such as MS word. By this approach, the efficiency of digitalization of the Hanguk Pulgyo Chonso or the Tripitaka Koreana, was improved.

다중처리 시스템에서 병렬 프로그램(Parallel Program)을 그래프로 표현하고 모듈 수보다 프로세서 수가 적은 경우 먼저 노드사이에 통신정도(Communication Intensity)가 큰 노드를 결합하여 Cluster를 생성하는 그래프 분할 모델(Graph Partition Model)을 제시했다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 논문에서 발표된 즉, 모듈들을 Cluster한 다음 각 프로세서에 할당하는 방법과는 달리 각 프로세서당 타스크의 크기를 균등하게 Clustering되면 즉시 프로세서에 할당하고 타스크의 크기가 균등하게 Clustering되지 않는 것은 부하를 균등하게 해서 할당했다. 그리고, 가능한 한 전체 IPC(Interprocessor Communication cost)를 줄이고 각 프로세서에 타스크의 부하를 균등하게 해서 전체 수행 완료 시간을 최소화(Minimization of Total Completion Time)할 수 있도록 했다. We proposed the graph partition model which generated cluster by merging nodes with high internode communication cost in case of the number of processors less than the number of modules in multiprocessor system. In previous paper, the approach begins with first generate a cluster, this cluster is then mapped to a multiprocessor system. But in the paper, if the clustered task size is load balanced, an assignment of task to processor occurs presently otherwise, an assignment of task to processor after load balancing. We propose an efficient heuristic algorithm that find and assignment of task to processors which minimizes the total completion time while as far as possible, reduced the interprocessor communication cost.

한글 정보원의 통계적 분석과 한글 teletypewriter의 자판배열에 관한 연구

A set of Korean character element is defined to contain all kinds of consonants and vowels. It also includes digits and some special characters. Then frequency of all character elements in the set and relationship between them are computed on the Korean sample character strings. To present a keyboard configuration, a mathematical model for Korean teletypewriter is established and some criteria to assign symbols to keys in accordance with an algorithm are introduced. Two efficient keyboard models are suggested as a result of computer simulation.

유니코드를 기반으로 표현된 한자를 입력할 때 유니코드로 표현할 수 없는 한자를 관리하는 문제는 한국불교전서 디지털화에 있어서 매우 중요한 문제에 속한다. 본 논문에서는 누락문자관리 시스템의 기능적 구성과 지난 8년간 한국불교전서 디지털화 과정에서 개발한 누락문자 처리기법의 변화에 대해서 기술한다. 또한, 그동안 누적된 누락문자에 대한 통계와 누락문자 관리기법과 검색을 위한 사용자 인터페이스에 대해서 검토한다. It is one of the very important problems to manage missing characters in digitalization of Hanguk Bulgyo Chonso due to the limited of number of Unicodes for Chinese characters. In this paper, we present the functional organization of the missing character management system and review the technical scheme for handling missing characters developed during the last 8 years in digitalization of Hanguk Bulgyo Chonso. In addition, we present statistics about missing characters processed during the period and discuss both of the missing character management system and the user interface for retrieval of missing characters.
